Hi gang!
It's been brought to my attention that an earlier review I posted about Pokk Fitness has been removed because of alleged secondhand information.
Hey, I'm an honest, hard working guy who would NEVER post second hand information about anyone. The facts I posted I received or experienced FIRSTHAND.
I was told directly by an executive of the ISSA that this trainer's membership was severed due to fraudulent use of credentials.
I was also told directly by a customer service representative of the NASM that complaints about this trainers professional conduct were brought before the compliance board of the NASM.
I was told directly by the trainer himself that he was terminated from 24 Fitness.
And, finally, Pokk Fitness has failed to pay the balance due on an agreed amount.
I think its great that YELP allows us to share our opinions about a range of businesses and services. I'm happy people have had only positive experiences with Pokk Fitness. I did not. YELP is a forum to report all opinions, including negative reviews.
I hired Pokk Fitness to train me for the 2011 NYC Marathon.
I did so because I had never run a Marathon and was unsure if I had the strength to finish.
This training was to specifically include cross training, nutrition and running. The cross training I received was fine. As for the nutrition, he is NOT CERTIFIED in Nutrition as he claims and it showed in his inability to provide meal plans on a timely basis. Then there was the running - I never expected this trainer to run the longer training distances, I did tell him I expected him to pace me and he agreed. He was unable to do the pacing and when I brought it to his attention he abruptly and rudely ended the training. I then became the brunt of a series of very nasty and immature e-mails. This was most unpleasant as I went into the final weeks before the Marathon. I was glad to have a great circle of friends, family and better, more supportive trainers to keep me motivated.
My experience is that when the going gets tough Pokk Fitness gets lost. read more
