Such a fun date idea! Build your own chocolates? Sign me up! The set up is great--make as much as you want and pay per pound. It feels like finding Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket! The instructions are very simple and the rest of the time you get to create to your hearts content. The workshop are is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The entire process only took us about 45 minutes but we only made one set of chocolates each. If you're a chocolate lover, I would highly recommend you give this a try!
Such a fun night! Taylor was amazing and took great care of a large crowd by herself. I always felt taken care of and the chocolate is delicious. There is a huge array of chocolate snacks molds and flavors and toppings. I will be back!!
What a cute date idea! The place smells so good and it's so much fun! The price is not that bad for half a pound of chocolate! Honestly it was so fun and I would come back for another date night or even with a bigger party! The chocolate is so good and the options are endless! The staff was also very helpful!
Such a fun place. I've been here twice and enjoyed my experience both times. They have a set price but if you go over in weight, you have to pay the difference. So if you're planning on just spending the set amount, don't fill your chocolates with super heavy stuff. I love cashews so I always go over. Worth it. Great place, great service, great location.
My team at work set up this event at Just Add Chocolate for a team building activity. We were all excited, and I've heard good things from people who have been in the past For days before we tried to call and confirm our appointment but no one answered. We decided to go anyway. We arrive to find the lights out and the door unlocked. There was no one there. We call the several numbers that we had and no one answered. We talked to several people from businesses around the place and they had no idea what was going on either Eventually, we were able to get a hold of the owner, who got a hold of one of the workers, and they showed up. However, it was too late and we had to reschedule our activity. The funny thing was that we could see we were on their schedule. Based on my experience, I would really hesitate to go back. Again, it looks like a fun activity, but if you can't have people show up, it doesn't matter.
It was a very fun experience. We went as a big group for a family activity. This is great for anyone that enjoys eating chocolate. My favorites that tasted great were the chocolate covered strawberries, the chocolate caramels and the chocolate covered lemon flavored truffle. Highly recommend to go as a group be it work team, girlfriends or extended family.
This place is outstanding! I was on a corporate trip on a team building activity and thought making chocolate was a strange but cool thing to try out. About 10 of us went (the other team members went hiking,...pffft). When you enter you are greeted and shown a quick tutorial video on how things work and what toppings and molds are available. Then you put gloves on and get to work. We started with molds that looked like small reseese cups, you then choose what type of chocolate (white, milk, dark or a combo of all) fill up half the mold with your chocolate of choice then add toppings..and there are a LOT of toppings. Every nut you can imagine, crushed or whole, candy sprinkles of every kind, crushed cookies, pipette bags of nutella, peanut butter and one other...I cant remember. You can also choose to cover bacon and twinkies in chocolate...which of course I did (From Texas, go BIG or go home). They have these conveyor belt machines to the side that you place your bacon or dessert of choice (go with the twinkie, trust me) and the machine covers it in chocolate. This place was like a little Wonka factory. You have a assistants with you the whole time ready to help or provide input, which we definitely needed, we were lucky enough to have Lauren who was the absolute best! Once we finished our molds, Lauren would take them and put them in some freezer contraption and in a few minutes your chocolate is solid and ready to box. Not sure what kind of Han Solo carbonite freezer they had, but man it worked. Overall a great experience and one I wish I could have shared with my kids. Luckily the Utah airport lets you take certain foods through the check point so I got to take these home for the family to enjoy....minus the twinkie.
Stopped by here on a recommendation of a friend. It wa d a bit later on the day so some of their shelves were empty, but still a pretty good selection of items. I am a lover of salted caramels so I quickly decided on a Ryan Sea Salt. I thought the punny names of items was funny. I also chose a Jiffrey R Holland . Peanut butter cup. Yum. As well as a Quinten L Cookie Cup based on an employee recommendation. This shop also offers create your own Chocolates. What a fun date night or with friends/family. Service was ok, however while we tried to ask questions the girl at the counter was focused more on her phone and texting. Kinda rude when you have customers in front of you. Once she put it down it was a bit better and the chocolate was tasty, but I'd appreciate more interaction next time.
Just add chocolate is a great place to go for a family night or date! Me and my fiancé went for Valentine's Day and had a blast!! They give you total creative freedom to make whatever you want. They also have so much variety of chocolate types, toppings, fillings, etc. In my opinion one thing that could make it a little bit better would be to clarify that the total price is the weight of everything not just the chocolate covering it. There are predicted amounts posted around the area saying the estimated chocolate quantity but I don't know how much the actual weight of the items (like strawberries or rice crispie treats) are factored into the prediction of weight/ cost on the signs. The other disappointing thing was that the samples weren't given to us that were advertised in the package we chose and the drinks were bottled water. Other than that, we had fun. The owner and staff are so fun and passionate about being there and made the whole experience so fun as well!
Super fun experience and date night!! We loved all the different options to create unique treats and goodies to our liking. Very friendly and helpful employees. It was so fun! We made a little over a pound of chocolate doing the date night package. Our treats were so tasty!!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I took my little sister here for a birthday date and I couldn't have picked a more fun activity! Imagine chocolate heaven, this is it! Here they have racks and racks of every topping you can think of, including fillings and my favorite.. cookie butter! They have dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. You can put chocolate in molds, cups, or on top of pretzel rods, caramels, etc. I was surprised how easy it was to do everything. Easy to learn, fun, creative and a perfect activity for all ages! The employees are all so sweet, patient with our inexperience and the owner even came arouNd and was chatting with everyone. I would recommend this place for any date, birthday party or friend get together! Must go, and they are even opening up one in Provo soon!!
My daughter brought me here for a late Mother's Day outing. Such a fun place! You can choose between white light or dark chocolate . They have molds, paper liners or large items you can cover in chocolate . They have all kinds of fruit, nuts, caramel, all kinds of fillings you can dip in chocolate . They also have different types of cookies& pretzels you can dip . The employees are very friendly & helpful. We ended up making around a pound of chocolates. They charge you per 1/2 or 1 pound . You have schedule a time to come in & they give you an hour to complete the class. I would recommend coming here . It's a perfect place for couples, family & team building events.
This was such a fun experience! I totally want to do it again! If you are contemplating attending a class...do it!! If you've read any of my other reviews; you know that I'm very frugal/cheap. So initially seeing their prices I was a little hesitant...but it's so worth it!! The owner, Foster, was very friendly and easy to talk to. He said that he is opening a Provo location soon and I'm sure that place will be hopin' with all the dates that happen there. They provide everything you might need to make chocolate; plastic apron, gloves, hat, all the utensils and molds you can think of! You were able to make whatever kind of chocolate you wanted, you just needed to be aware of how much you were making and how big your chocolates were because you could easily go over your 1/2 lb. or 1 lb. amount. The staff was friendly the whole time and so helpful, they had at least 5 people helping during the class and that was nice! Take a look at the names of their chocolates; they are clever and specific to Utah or LDS culture references. Overall: Take a class! It was way fun and worth it!

Looking for a sweet treat made by you (and for you ;))? This is the perfect place! Whether it's a date, fam or a treat yourself night, this is a fun place to make chocolates... AND leave the mess out of the house. As a fam of four, this was a fun place to let our creativity run with the multiple and various flavors (strawberry, coconut, raspberries and peanut butter), whatever combos you want to have. Our chocolatier, Clara, came straight from Charlie and the Chocolate factory, super kind and ready to help with making the chocolates. Whether you make delicious or questionable chocolates, this is the place to be. Definitely arrive on time for the sweetest experience as you're supposed to start on the dot, make a res for stress free time and don't panic as there's plenty of parking in the plaza. read more
Cute little spot with yummy chocolates that have fun names. I just wish the tags said what was inside each one, we had to ask a lot. The girl helping us was super sweet and patient though! Looks like a fun date night or group hangout too, we saw a group making chocolate and it looked like a blast. Definitely want to come back and try that out. read more

Okay, long review. Let's start with the cons. They really nickel and dime you. The regular workshop package is half a pound of chocolate for $18. They weighed mine and my husband's together and it came out to 1.02 pounds total, and they charged us for the 0.02 pound overage. It was only about 32 cents, but it felt absolutely ridiculous and left a bad impression. Cleanliness was also an issue. There were no aprons, and people with long hair were not required to pull it back, including employees. I saw employees leaning over the running chocolate with large chunks of hair hanging down. We were not asked to wash our hands, only to put on gloves. I also noticed sample spoons left in some of the fillings and it was unclear whether they were just scoops or had already been used to taste. I saw one employee prepping caramel apples while holding one down at her side and it was rubbing against her jeans. There was also obvious cross contamination between different fillings and toppings, with things visibly mixed into others. Now for the middle stuff that is just good to know. We thought this was a class where you learn to make chocolate. That is not what this is. You watch a short video and then they bring you already melted chocolate. You pour it into molds and add toppings and fillings like chopped nuts, dried fruit, crushed candy bars, cookies, etc. You are not actually making chocolate. That is not necessarily a bad thing, just not what we were expecting, so it felt much more simplistic than we had hoped. It was still fun and the chocolate was good. Another thing to be aware of is allergens. There is no way to avoid them here. If you have serious allergies, especially nuts, dairy, or fruit, do not go. I was honestly shocked that there was no warning about this on the website or when I called to make our reservation. I would have been really upset if I had a nut allergy and showed up only to find out there was no safe way to participate. Now for the good, because we genuinely did have an enjoyable time with our group. I liked having a date option that was not just dinner and a movie. Usually if I want to do something different, I have to drive all the way to Provo, so it was nice to have something like this in Lehi. It also was not terribly expensive overall. Even with the nickel and diming, you would not be able to take an actual chocolate making class for $18. It was also easy enough that pretty much anyone could do it. Would I go again? Probably, but not often. Maybe one more time. It is not something I would never do again, but it is also not a must do. read more

First time coming here and looked fun, they have chocolate making classes and I saw some grandparent's in there with their grandchildren having a blast. Would love to take my nieces and nephews there to get a diabetic coma while making/eating some chocolates. :-) They allowed us to sample some items which were pretty good, the prices weren't over the top either. For sure will be back. read more

It was a lot of fun! The basic is definitely worth the $16. Fun for friends or a date. We went at 10am, so some of the premade molds were gone because they hadn't restocked from the night before. But they have a lot of options and the chocolate was delicious. read more
I get a text midway through the day. It's my sister. She says "quick-it's family night at this cool place where we can take our kids and make chocolate. Do you guys wanna go?" Help yeah, we do! Fast forward a few hours later and we are all suited up in aprons, hats and gloves and let loose (after some instruction) in the chocolate factory. We had a great time making our favorites and tried a few new things. There was no lack of options of candies, nuts, cremes or other goodies. If you're a germaphobe, you may want to skip family night and opt for date night when the patrons are less likely to double dip or touch all the candy with their sticky fingers. Now, if you'll excuse me. I have a pound of chocolate that I need to go devour. read more

I loved, loved, LOVED this place. It was so much fun and so easy. I was a little intimidated by the thought of candy making class, but the staff made it so fun and simple. The selection of chocolates, fillings, toppings, dipping options, candy molds, etc will blow your mind. I am obsessed with the machine that coats things in chocolate on a conveyor belt. My brother dipped a Twinkie and was in heaven. There were so many options to choose from I didn't even get to SEE them all! What I loved the most was how fairly priced it was. Yes it's more expensive than candy you can buy, but remember you're buying the experience too. I'm honestly not much of a candy eater, I planned to give away most of what I made, but the quality of the chocolate was so incredible I actually ate it all myself. Tip: make yourself a dark chocolate truffle filled with milk chocolate and crunched up potato chips! To die for! read more
Very fun facility and fair price!! The owner was very upbeat and lively in teaching us how to make our own chocolate creations. It was a little different than I expected because you don't actually learn to make chocolate, but you learn how to make chocolate creations. You can dip all sorts of things in chocolate, fill chocolate shells, fill molds, and make stuffed chocolates with every possible flavor and topping you can think of. It was really fun to try to be creative and the chocolate o brought home tastes awesome! So far the best combo is white chocolate filled with cookie butter. We did date night with a bunch of friends - so fun! read more

Free samples! We stopped in after dinner and picked out a box of chocolates for the family. The lady was very nice and let us choose from some free samples. In the front are some house-made chocolates, t-shirts, and other merchandise. Behind that are workshop tables for parties and such. It seemed like those would be fun. They have family night chocolate-making activities we might try. read more

We absolutely love this place !!! Did a double date here and it was the best date we've had in a while . The owner and everyone else who worked here was so nice ! The chocolate candy making process was fun and had us thinking on how to be creative! You literally can make anything your mind can come up with. As you can see in the photo, I saw bacon and my 'creative' thinking went towards just that :-D. Highly recommend this place! read more

What a fun evening of chocolate making, tasting and laughter! Join Just add Chocolate for one of their chocolate classes and come away with a pound of self-made treats and an evening to remember. The young staff was friendly, energetic and helpful as they coached us through the various techniques and then let us loose on the candy making. This session would be great for staff team building, family gathering or just about any occasion. New location coming to Provo soon. read more

Can you go wrong with chocolate? If you're looking to switch up date night, this is the place to go! 90 minutes of chocolate making and tasting and if you get the date night package, you get a caramel apple and a drink! It's so satisfying to be able to take something home that you created. There are more toppings, fillings, and things to dip than I ever had imagined! They did a really cute job decorating what is a tricky dynamic with the store front and the chocolate making area. read more
This place is a super fun and inexpensive date night! My husband and I have been twice now and had a great experience both times. They give a brief presentation about how to make a few classic chocolate creations and then let you loose to make your own. The first time we went was perfect, there were tons of free samples and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The second time was also fun but they didn't ever refill the free samples and the white chocolate mixer was broken. It was also the last class of the night and the staff seemed tired and weren't very responsive when we asked for help. Regardless, we had a great time and a really fun date night. read more
