While walking down to your station the hygienist or the dental assistant will ask how you've been and what you've been up to. (Lillys always dressed to the nines so they always tell her a pretty she looks today etc.) Then lilly would sit down and they'll have her choose a pair of sunglasses so the over head light won't bother her eyes. Then the whole procedure is explained to her in detail she needs. Then it's all done in a flash. Dr soria is such a sweet soul that will be my daughter's dentist for as long as I can have her. The waiting room here is wonderful! There are toys and video games. My daughter wants to go to the dentist just for the waiting room lol. Everything in the office is colorful, nice and clean, and just plain fun! Most of the assistants here are the best with children that I've ever seen! There was one assistant in particular (that I noticed) who seemed to be trying hard to be good with kids but she obviously did not have children of her own so she lacked confidence but nonetheless, she was competent in her job and WAS trying. We saw two different dentists during our visits. They were excellent! Friendly, bright, and comforting for my child! They worked quickly and explained all the tools to my daughter in a way that made them fun and non intimidating. They really made her feel very special for being there! After the children are done with their appointment they get a prize and a sticker and the nurses at the front desk don't mind if the kids want to play in the waiting room for a little bit before they leave. I'll recommend this pediatric dentistry office to anyone.

He looks forward to playing with the toys in the waiting room and riding up and down on the "magic chair." The staff gives him a sense of control by letting him choose which sunglasses to wear (there's a bright light), what color toothbrush, which flavor toothpaste, etc... They always talk to him and explain what they're about to do before doing it. In the end, he gets stickers and prizes! I've been preparing him for a while and explaining that the going to the dentist was a good thing. The office was nice, clean, and cozy. The staff were cordial. We got in right away and was met by Dr. Cosgrove and the hygienist/assistant. She was very professional and great with my child. She explained everything and made him feel comfortable throughout the whole process. The whole cleaning and check up took less than 30 minutes. I truly feel blessed that they were able to treat my son. I will be returning here for him soon.

I had a painful dental emergency and after momentary panic when I realised Levy Dental (who have…read morerave reviews here on Yelp) didn't take my Cigna HMO plan, I desperately looked into other options who would take my insurance and would be willing to see me that same day. New Haven Dental Associates did both and booked me in for a quick diagnostic and x-ray work. I rushed over and found they're located in the Chapel Medical Center right in front of St. Raphael's. The entrance is somewhat dodgy - no sign, no indication of what offices are in the building, you have to go in through the back door into a tiny little porch, up two flights of stairs, through a rather empty corridor. But once I walked in the office, I was greeted by two smiling assistants. Everyone I spoke to was extremely kind and helpful - which is a giant plus when you're dealing with major toothache and the world seems like a nasty place. I was promptly seen by Dr. Sripathi who gave me a quick diagnostic, told me how to control the pain before I was able to get a tooth extraction booked, and referred me to the oral surgeon, Dr. Sorrentino, across the hall (literally) because their own surgical schedule was fully booked. A bonus for all 80s lovers out there: the office is decked out in imitation marble cabinets, floors and textured walls, it's supremely cheesy and wonderful.
