Our three children go to Smiles For the Future for their pediatric dental care. They are great with our toddlers and preschooler. It hasn't been a challenge to work around our schedules for cleanings and urgent visits. Dr. Gary and his partners are wonderful. The staff and hygienists are very kind. My son has been a patient for years. When he was younger, he wasn't the easiest at his appointments --very nervous and mistrusting of doctors and, as a curious kid, asked lots of questions about what things were and wanted everything explained to him. This practice took their time with him and provided him with the information and reassurance he was looking for. Now as an older teen he goes in by himself but the hygienist calls to fill us in on what looks good and what could use improvement. We appreciate their care and attention! read more

Because I broke both legs skiing 10 months ago I was denied a scheduled cleaning! What do my legs have to do with cleaning my teeth?! This is bizarre. I'm done with this place. Time to look for a serious dentistry practice. I had this scheduled for months. My teeth were cleaned by this practice after my skiing accident. Took my 3 year old for her first appt. at smiles for the future yesterday and it was a great experience. The staff, hygienist, and dentist were all amazing and very good with her. Very clean nice office overall and she loved all of the little treats they gave her. Highly recommend! read more

As long as your children do not require any special accommodations or the slightest measure of patience, this place is great. We have 6 kids who were treated here and every time, the Dr.'s we're cold and impatient. My children are well behaved, tough, and do not complain about much. Unfortunately, a couple of them needed to have some some non-routine work done and the dentists were so concerned with sticking to their schedule, the minute our kids showed the slightest apprehension, they folded up shop and told us they couldn't perform the work. This place is a factory and cares more about maximizing patients per hour than caring for kids dental needs. As I said before, this place is great as long as your children don't turn into humans with any level of fear or anxiety. read more

I appreciate that they were able to make an appointment for my daughter within a week due to increasing tooth pain. The problem is, she had a giant cavity right on the nerve which needs immediate care to prevent further serious infection. When I asked to make an appointment to get the cavity fixed, they were booking into 4 months down the year. I had to find another dentist to do the work needed next day. read more

I couldn't imagine finding a better dentist/orthodontist than Smiles for the future. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. The office is so bright and cheerful. My daughter had 6 years of braces and numerous other dental appliances and because of their fun, friendly, upbeat personalities, she never feared or dreaded going to any of her appointments. read more

I was very impressed with the set up at Smiles for the Future! They have a great system set up for entering and exiting the office to keep everyone safe. The building is incredibly clean and the staff is very cautious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we had to wait quite a bit, but it was ok once we saw all the safeguards in place! read more

I take my daughters to Smiles for the Future and I have never had a bad experience there. They are terrific with the kids each time we have been there. They create an atmosphere which has made my girls completely comfortable going to the dentist. One of my girls had two cavities and she was petrified to get them filled. The appointment couldn't have gone any smoother than it did. They kept her completely calm and she was totally fine throughout her appointment. read more

I am a former CT resident and professional residing in MA for a little over a year now. Our family had ties to Smiles for the Future as they have cared exceptionally for our two beautiful daughters since they have had teeth! All the Dentists have been warm, knowledgeable and professional and created a strong environment of educating their patients and exercising patient advocacy. Due to this reason I feel compelled to share an extremely cold, robotic and downright insulting experience that I had a few minutes ago with a financial representative by the name of Diane. Diane Wilcox emphatically reminded me that I was mistaken in my belief that kindness, empathy and advocacy was the mission of the practice as in her words "this is just a business". It is important for me to share that we as paying "customers" dropped the ball and owed your practice $109.00 which was payed a few minutes ago. This is a double fold embarrassment for us as we lost credibility with your business and did not keep our agreement as a customer as well as the fact that we are blessed and paying this amount would not have put any financial strain on our family as it may for some who may not be as fortunate. The reason that this wasn't paid was that we simply slacked on our responsibility and it got lost in the shuffle of moving, giving birth to a new child while raising two others, career demands and many other stresses that most families go through I'm sure-so shame on us. Given this embarrassment upon opening a letter letting us know that we are being "dismissed" from the practice for non-payment of $109.72 my husband and I both frantically and sheepishly called to pay it and had the pleasure of having Diane admonish us. My husband started the convo by apologizing profusely, expressing his embarrassment and emotional attachment to the "business" not practice as Diane corrected us today. He asked as to what he should do to seek the practice's forgiveness and have our daughters allowed back in to this "business". Diane led the conversation by asking why we drive so far to come here and why have we not considered other dentists. He explained that Smiles for the Future has cared for our children since the beginning and we have a loyalty to the practice. She then told him that there would be a lengthy financial process involved as the "business" gives preference to "paying customers"!! She then said that our payment arrangement would be to pay upfront and then get re-imbursed by our insurance. No worries-it's not what she said it is how she treated us. At this point I took over the convo and asked Diane to soften her approach as we had taken responsibility (although late) and called the practice ourselves embarrassed about the non payment. Diane then scolded me a -39 year old (somewhat responsible ) professional and said "I just don't understand why you wouldn't open your letters, I just don't understand that if it is only $109 dollars and you say you don't have financial problems why you wouldn't just pay it" she said she deals with many customers just like me and if I understand how a "business" works that is a problem. I told her shaming someone who just took full ownership of the issue and initiated contact was not a palatable approach. I shared with her my professional background is of a business leader and that without advocacy or a pleasant engagement manner your business would lose patrons or the respect of future patrons and create negative word of mouth publicity! I am humiliated by Diane's talk down manner, coldness and insensitivity. I understand it is probably a skill set necessary to her position. Yet please understand the impact on a "business" called Smiles for the Future. Our future is not only dependent on our children's clean teeth but rather their demeanor in how they treat humanity even when delivering an unpleasant message to a "slacker customer". It is the respect and dignity that we give each other that will also ensure the success of the world as well as your practice. Our twin five-year-old boys have been patients at this dental practice since they first visited a dentist. Although we have been quite satisfied with the dentists, hygienists, and front office staff, our last two bills have been incorrect. On each occasion their billing manager Marcie was extraordinarily curt and rude when asked about the discrepancy. It was a simple insurance error that was easily corrected, but the customer service issue was not to be resolved. I attempted to address the concern with the office manager, who was completely apathetic. Feeling that the practice didn't care one way or the other whether we were patients or not, I elected the latter and will choose another dentist for our kids. read more

Excellent service, great staff for the most part. Dentists and hygenists are wonderful! I would give five stars but I am not always happy with one of the receptionists. She is very rude and has horrible phone etiquette, and has an attitude when you ask a question. In my opinion receptionists represent a company or buisness, they are the first person you see or talk to and when you are greeted with rudeness, it doesn't give you a good feeling about a buisness. read more
