I really want to give this pet store a high review, but it never really seems to have everything that I need. I do buy food for my dogs here, and I have been happy with the birdseed that I recently purchased. I don't know anyone who has purchased animals from here, nor has use the grooming service, but the groomer always seems to have a client. They do have a multi bag discount, so once you purchase 10 you get a discount on the 11th, or maybe it might be free. Both dogs had an apt this morning for nails, bath ears. When I got there I asked if our Terrier could be groomed. We tried to to "trim" her ourselves and she was a hot mess. Groomer said he would definitely try if he had time. Felt very comfortable leaving them with him, he was very friendly and professional. Said he'd call at 10am when he was done. No kidding 10am he called and they were done. I was pleasantly surprised that he had groomed our terrier, she looked FABULOUS, and our Jack Russel mix looks great too. Both were happy to see ybut not freaking out trying to get to us. I feel they were comfortable with the groomer, and trusted him. Absolutely love this shop! They helped me establish my salamander's tank to be bioactive with premium substrate, live growing moss, worms, etc! Came here a few months back with my pit bull to get a bath and nail trim. I've brought him previously before this and a nice lady was the one who did his grooming but don't think she works there anymore. Complimenting how sweet my dog was. This current and only Groomer basically told me he doesn't do pitbulls and need to be more specific when letting them know what type of dog I have (pitbull mix). He called me 30 minutes after dropping off my dog saying to pick him up and that it will be the last time he'll do my dog because he was being aggressive. Which is weird because other groomers have always commented on how sweet and playful he is. When I picked him up he was super wet (he was basically rushing me to pick up my dog) and still had the audacity to charge me. Personally think he just hates pitbull breeds. I booked a grooming appointment for my 12 year old German shepherd and after she was dropped off, they called not 5 minutes later saying to come back because she isn't cooperating. Also my father called them as well to tell them that I was going to be late and they didn't even tell him anything about a late fee. Come to find out on my bill was a $30 late fee charge. They said their prices were raised due to not having as many coming in. Regardless of the amount of supply they have coming in, it really shows their true colors and how quick they are to take advantage of customers when the opportunity is there. read more

Customer service is just ok, not amazing as others say. They have a wide variety of dog and cat food, but that's about it. Not much selection when it comes to small animals, fish, or reptiles (animals & products). The habitats the animals are kept in are FILTHY. The frog/green anole habitats are the worst, looks like they've been sitting there untouched for months. And I know bearded dragons can be messy but their tanks could look better. The bearded dragon pair have the dirtiest water I have ever seen. PITCH BLACK. I'm sorry but would you drink out of that? Why should they? Also, I was there 2 days in a row, their food bowls look exactly the same. Dry, days old salad. Obviously they're not being starved because they're a good weight but more consideration should be taken into their daily diet. Another important thing to note is that the reptiles have no UVB lighting. I only saw the day/night lights. (The day prior they didn't even have the lights on). Without UVB lighting they could get MBD. Are the customers well informed when buying if the store itself isn't? I'm sorry but the store tortoise looks miserable, no enrichment whatsoever. It just looks outside the windows and walks back and forth. Rabbits and guinea pigs are overcrowded. They have the space but they're kept together... the worm and aquarium tanks they have at the register are FILTHY. The only animals that have good looking habitats are the chameleons up at the front. Some of the prices are crazy. I found the same 20 gallon tank at Petsmart for $27.99, where as here they have it for $79.99... that's a crazy big gap. Not sure what other prices are questionable. The store itself could be cleaner. They have a lot of their supplies out in the open when they could easily be put elsewhere or be covered up. Would make the store look a lot nicer. Jurassic Pets as a store is AWSOME! But beware the grooming side! We took our dog in for an appointment which was SUPPOSED to be at 10:15am and she didn't even start her until 4pm! RIDICULOUS. Isn't the purpose of an appointment to be seen at the time that it's set up for? ALL of the people who left their dogs there that day were absolutely furious. All that time with no water, food, or treats. That was the first and LAST time we ever take her there. If you need grooming go to PetSmart by Costco instead. Way better service and they pay lots of attention to the dogs unlike the woman there. And WORST OF ALL, My puppy got sick a few days later and has had diarrhea and nausea for the past week. She won't eat, drink, or anything. So to summarize - Crap service and schedule, dogs are basically tortured and starved, and as it seems the place isn't cleaned anywhere near properly.
