Unfortunately, one cannot give less than one star in reviews. In early January 2021, we…read moreinterviewed Ms. Sandi Pressley, a realtor with Coldwell Bankers, to sell our house that we made perfect for the last 14 years. In the interview, Ms. Pressley spent 90% of the time telling us "how great she was" and seemed not to care what we had to say. Ms. Pressley told us that she would sell our house for $350K (30K above what we paid 14 years ago); at this price it would "sell fast". We definitely did not want our house on the market for weeks or months. Coincidently, a similar house nearby, with identical floor plan, but fewer amenities (ie, no landscaping) was up for sale at $389K. After, the interview, I told my wife that I did not trust Ms. Pressley because I have trouble with people that brag about themselves. Another realtor, with 30+ years of experience, and who I trusted, recommended we sell our house for $400K. My wife trusted Ms. Pressley. I told my wife that I predict 4 things would happen from our interview with Ms. Pressley: (1) We would never again see or talk with Ms. Pressley as she would pass us on to lesser staff (Fact: the last time I saw or spoke with Ms. Pressley was in Jan 2021); (2) a list of personal items (Murphy Bed, curtains, etc) that were to be excluded in the sale would be ignored (Fact: they were ignored, and when we argued with the buyers, Ms. Pressley blamed the error on an office clerk); (3) our house would sell in the first few days because the price would be so low that it would be unbelievable; like buying a new car for a few hundred dollars (Fact: within the first 12 hours, we had 7 bidders and 10 within 24 hours); and (4) that despite Ms. Pressley's word, the 389K similar house would sell the same week (Fact: it sold the same week). Why didn't we listen to the realtor that recommended we sell our house for $400K? Because my wife trusted Ms. Pressley. This was an expensive lesson for us and hope others do not make the same mistake. Ms. Pressley will get her "quick" commission and my trust in Coldwell Banker would go down as fast.
