I had my hair cut in June at this place and I have to say it will be my last.. First of all I did not like the fact that I didn't feel "welcome??" the owners did not greet at all and the lady who cut my hair was not very friendly...all she was saying how thin and fine my hair and was making a comment saying I should get haircut more often in a rather unfriendly way and most of all she was rather surprised when I asked to style my hair after it was cut which is a normal step at any hair salons you goto unless you ask not to..Overall I didn't like how my hair was cut it was not worth the price I paid. (very overpriced) Plus the service was not good at all.. I would definitely stick to my old hair stylist which with far better place and service. Being relatively new to Houston, I was on the search for a decent Asian hair salon. Having lived in LA and DC, I have only gone to Korean salons because they understand the texture of Asian hair. My Korean friend recommended Juno, and I was extremely pleased with my results and quality of service, especially given such fair pricing ($30 for women's shampoo, cut, blow dry/style). Juno is owned by a husband/wife team who are professional and polite; though they speak some English, they understood all my hair requests (it also helped that I had an image of the look I wanted.) Great perm, but left with burn I went Friday afternoon around 3pm for a perm and a cut. Because there weren't that many people, service was good. The cut and perm turned out pretty well. I showed them few pictures before the cut and I was satisfied with how it turned out. The reason why I give 3 stars is because they gave me a burn on back of my neck during the perm. It was very, very hot when they had the digital perm machine on. They tried real hard to not have the rollers touch my skin because I was pretty much screaming for help. This was also because my hair was cut short. And I didnt realized the burn until I got home and felt a stinging pain on my neck and noticed a blister. I think it will leave a scar. I also found another burn on back of my head later during the week. I did not call them for any complaints though, I didn't want to deal with the situation. And my perm did turn out alright. It is for you to decide though, whether you want to get a perm here. Just be careful with short hair, that's my advice. read more

Currently writing this in store as the other person I came with to get a haircut is getting theirs done. This is my second time at Juno Hair and I am utterly disappointed. My first time here was during the summer of 2015 and it was great! The female hairdresser really took the time and effort to pay attention to what I wanted done and she even asked me repeatedly whether I was satisfied with what she was doing. Thus, I came back half a year later, same female hairdresser and am amazed at the decline in quality and attention. It may be because it's a Saturday but I made an appointment 2 days ahead of time. I asked for a similar style and they just cut it, straightened, and left it flat saying they were done. I couldn't believe my eyes. My first time there I was in love with the voluptuous, smooth hair I was left with (and some complimentary hair essence for shine) but now she just patted me off the seat expecting the same level of satisfaction even when I said something about it. I think I had the customer's right to express concern over my dry flat hair (which wasn't even treated with heat protectant). She simply continued to make shallow excuses for her overpriced- in relation to inadequate- services. In conclusion, I wouldn't reccomend this place because of its inconsistent quality of service. But if you really have no where else to go then make sure not to come on a weekend. read more

They only take cash. $30 hair cut for both men and women?!? Not sure where the logic is but service is not always consistent. Good location, near H-mart! Great service! My whole families are regulars for years. We come here every time we visit Houston! All I can say is, it is truly, as good as it gets! I have had so many bad experiences with others that I was really hesitant about trying to find someone again. However, I always end up pleasantly surprised and happy with the results.(My sister and my mom too!) I can really tell that they use good quality products that my hair doesn't get damaged as much after dyeing and perming my hair! I always get compliments on my hair and how smooth it is. Definitely would recommend to anyone in Houston area. :) And they really want their customers to be satisfied. Pricing was not bad at all either. read more

Never going back again!! I got my hair permed and they did a horrible job! Everything I asked the lady NOT to do, she did... I went very prepared.. with a lot of pictures and an open mind... however, the lady couldn't stop belittling about all the pictures I brought... seriously, it's only as and reference lady! I am fully and ware of that fact that these pics were of celebrities... she also wouldn't stop talking about how bad my hair is and that I won't be able to get the result I want because my hair is TOO COARSE AND THICK and never stopped talking about it!! Ugh! And I because I knew how my hair was, I had already agreed to chop it and get two different types of perm - magic perm and digital perm... however, even with two different perms, the lady still wasn't able to deliver what I had asked for! I've got my hair permed before and it's looked good without two perms on my hair! I specifically asked her not to give me the "triangular shaped head" but she SO DID!!!! Worst haircut. The guy does not know what he is doing and is very rough. The razors are old and rattly so they don't cut very well so he had to be pretty rough. Not very attentive to the haircut because he finished in about 10 minutes. It was probably the worst haircut I've had in my life. For 25$, I would rather go to MingLi or just cut it myself. Got my hair cut here - wish I hadn't. There used to be great salon at the same location - owner sold it and now the place sucks. Didn't realize this until after the butchering of my hair. I told her how to cut my hair and she didn't listen. Instead, I got an uneven, too short haircut. While she was ruining my hair, she was talking to a coworker about what their dinner plans that day were. Talk about unprofessional. Horrible service, horrible quality.
