I contacted them about a project in Brush Prairie - Yelp specifically asks for the zip code before you can send a message, so they had that information. The first response I got was that they didn't serve my area and to contact their location in Vancouver. My request was sent to their Vancouver branch, so I was confused. My response back was that if they didn't serve my area, that was fine - they just needed to let me know. They came back asking for my zip code, even though they had confirmed it in one of their last messages to me. I don't know if this is a case of too many cooks in the kitchen or what, but they plainly need to get their act together and read through the entirety of message history before responding. Ended up going with someone else since these guys were too much of a headache. read more

Junk King was great in responding to my weekend request to have a broken refrigerator hauled out as soon as possible. I submitted my request to several vendors via Yelp on a Saturday. Junk King responded quickly (as did several other vendors). They even offered me a lower price when I indicated (which was true) that I had received some smaller bids While they didn't quite match the lowest bid, they did come back with a very competitive bid along with a faster service date (the following Monday.. just 2 days later!) than the other vendors. When the pickup date arrived, Junk King kept me up to date on arrival times and progress via text. They even arrived - after texting me to see if it was okay - a little early! Jarod and Pat were extremely professional and courteous and practiced all safety precautions - using masks and social distancing. I would use Junk King again in a heartbeat. I called for a estimate was very descriptive with the amount of double lined hefty bags with debree inside, by the way the hefty bags worked amazingly well very dependable and there name stands true to their word.back to junk King aka the over priced junk King shame on them for over inflatable the price of garbage if they only had a machine to turn it into gasoline they would surely be more successful $750 dollars for 14 double lined garbage bags with yard debree are you professionally, ethical and moally serious.my opinion is your wrong on your estimate.i get the fact that labor,vehicle,gas tires,oil and a fee at the city dump but $750 dollars.its not hazardous material,I contacted my friend at speeds towing and to tow a fifth wheel or medium sized camper trailer was around $ 400 dollars I'm just trying to fathom what this service comes with? Worst company ever!! Dishonest companies don't deserve your business. I was quoted $400 and told to reach out if I changed my mind. I texted the company and reminded them about the $400 offer and asked if that was still available could I book for Friday. I received a text message confirming. At no time did they tell me that quote had expired. Instead they waited until they showed up to tell me the quote was only for that day, and that the cost would be $795.00. I choose Junk King to pick up my belongings because of their website. After my yard sale, I still had plenty of usable items: clothing, books, dishware, furniture and I didn't want it hauled off to a landfill somewhere. I was happy to pay to have them come take my things to their warehouse (as stated on their website) for sorting and donating. I realized the next day I had let them take some collectibles I meant to keep. I reached out on Sunday and they called back Monday, telling me my things had been taken to Value Village in Tigard. I called the manager of the store who could not verify if a big donation had been made (my things filled the back of their truck) but she would watch for my collectibles. A week later I went there in person. There was not one item of my things. Not a table, not a pair of shoes, not a collectible, nothing. I spoke to the manager again and she said IF anything had come in the previous week, it would have been put out on the floor that Sunday or Monday. I contacted Junk King again to ask where they took my things. I was given the run around - first provided with a GPS "map" that showed Truck #4 had been at Value Village but no date, not time. I asked for something that showed the times of the truck's travels and was sent an excel spreadsheet with logged on times. As I know how to read that type of sheet, I discovered that Truck #4 had not even been in Vancouver on the day my items were picked up. I have since requested numerous times for info on where my things were taken or a refund and have heard nothing back. TL:DR. Junk King DOES NOT have a warehouse where they take your things - they probably take it to the nearest dump, adding usable items to a landfill. read more
