I have to share with all my fellow Yelper's the GREAT experience that I had yesterday using this company ! I am remodeling a home I own in Plano, Texas to put on the market, and have been doing extensive demo work on it creating a lot of construction debris. I had originally intended to have a 30 yard " roll off " construction dumpster put in my driveway, but the company that the City of Plano has a contract with determined by a "site inspection" that they would not be able to get it down the alley & turned into the driveway. They told me my ONLY option was to get a permit from the City to allow them to drop it on the street in front of my house, but that I could only keep it for 5 days ! Ever try to completely remodel a home in 5 days ? I told that company that I would make " other arrangements " and they were borderline snippy & rude about it ! My contractor told me about Junk King & said he had used them before with good results, so I gave them a call. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and helpful, and told me that she actually had a crew & truck not far from my location that was almost empty at the moment. She said they could come by in about an hour & give me an estimate on the debris pile I had accumulated in the homes two car garage. The guys ( Bill & Richard ) showed up on time, looking sharp in company uniforms, a new and clean looking dump truck and were extremely polite and professional. They quoted me a reasonable price for the extensive assortment of construction materials that we had piled up and said they could take it immediately if I liked. I approved the estimate, and they went to work on that pile with enthusiasm ! I can't compliment these employees enough about the great attitude that they maintained throughout the clean out process. They are friendly and obviously proud of the company that they work for, explaining the Eco Friendly philosophy of the management that tries to recycle as much material as possible. Consider that these guys were working in a hot garage loading about 2,000 sq. ft.of old carpeting and carpet padding, two bathtubs, old sheetrock, wallpapering, bathroom sinks & vanities, etc. and with the outside temperature in the high 90's ! Nevertheless, their positive " Can Do " attitude never changed and they had it all loaded up on the truck amazingly fast. They then proceeded to sweep out the entire garage as well as the driveway, picking up every trace of any debris ! I am very pleased to recommend Junk King to anyone needing to have almost any kind of junk/trash removed from their property at a reasonable price. This company exhibits the kind of spirit in it's employees that you wish ALL companies had these days. The Junk King employees were hard working, polite, friendly, experienced and informative. I will definitely be using them again in the near future, when the home remodel project is completed. It is my understanding that the company has numerous locations/franchises and serves many areas of Texas. read more

Before Mom passed in 2015, I began using a business called Got Junk to pick up loads of broken down boxes. Eventually, I found Junk Kings, a company that would do the anxious for less--a minimum of about $150. That's the price I was wuited a month ago. Today, had a similar size load of boxes, and was quoted a minimum price of $298. When I pointed out that the price had nearly doubled and that I'm a retiree/in social security, they brought the price down to $153. Buyer beware. I suspect these guys are pocketing the extra money, without telling the company. read more

The good: Customer service was decent to good, they came out by the end of the day I called, with two giant red trucks and a crew ready to remove my stuff. The bad: because it was yard waste (a giant pile of tree branches) they told me they were unable to give any kind of rough estimate over the phone, even with pictures, so they would have to send their crew out for the estimate. The guy looked at it and said it will be 2 truckloads, and gave us an estimate of $1067. We told them that was higher than we were hoping, and he asked "how much did we really think this was gonna cost?" We said sorry we were going to look at other prices and get back to them. Within 24 hours, we had a company called Stand Up Guys Junk Removal out, and they said they could do a truckload for $500. They then proceeded to carefully break down and stuff the entirety of the wood into ONE TRUCK, smaller than the trucks Junk King had. Moral of the story, Stand Up Guys cost us less than half of Junk King's estimate, and got the job done professionally and fast with no hitch. Invoice JK1784632 --- they bid or quoted me $3,234.51 to remove it. Junk King supplied pictures of the junk they agreed to move along with the estimate. I gave the go ahead to setup a time for removal. Junk King went to the property, removed all the items in the pictures they had sent me and --- gave me an invoice for $8,744.44!!! Called the Junk King to remove excess debris from our yard. The two gentlemen that assisted me, one being Jeff Cross, were extremely helpful, cooperating and did an amazing job with the clean up. I called Junk King and asked for a free quote and they said they would send someone out to quote a price. I told them to call my cell 45-60 minutes prior to their actual arrival as they give you a two hour window and I live 45-60 minutes away depending on traffic. No call on my cell so when I arrived home and checked my home phone, I had two messages they had finished a job early and had been wanting to come early. The next message said they were there 20 minutes earlier than planned and asked me to call. I called and told them they were supposed to call my cell and not my home. I rushed to the site and they were gone so I texted the number and they arrived in about 10 minutes. They look at my stuff and said it will take a whole truck load at.around $711 and I felt bad they were waiting that time due to their company's error and had them load up. The did a poor job stacking and filled the truck quickly and said they would have to come back for the rest another time and since I was now a customer, he would give me a great deal. The guy said they work for waiter wage and since they sat there waiting, their company hardly paid them and their earnings are driven by tips. They were sweating and I paid them the $711+ fee, taxes and a $111+ tip for their efforts. I told them I work during the week and can only be availing weekends. They said it would take about 1/6th of a truck for the remainder of stuff to clean up. He said since I was a returning customer, instead of the $298 fee, he would quote me via email $198. I never saw the email, but told him I would meet the following Saturday at 9am. Two days later (Monday) I get a text saying the Company is at the location for the remainder of stuff. I tell them my appointment is for the following Saturday and not a weekday. After 4pm I get a call from the general manager saying I had an appointment I missed that morning and I must admit, I politely told him how lousy his company's customer service and communication was, based on my experience. He said he was glad he called me and worked it out. He didn't really say much after I told him of all the events that had taken place. He didn't even offer a discount or anything. read more

Totally unreliable. Getting these guys to come on time, call you back, even email you is like a bad Marx Brothers movie. It's almost comic! We booked them. They rescheduled. The guy calls on the evening (yep, 6-8 pm was what he said he wanted to do!) of the appointment and says he can't make it. Can we meet the next day? Sure. Next morning the owner calls and says, "I can't find my guy. He never showed up to work, and we don't know where he is." Me: "So . . . you don't have anyone else?" Him: "Not right now." Next morning (day 3), I call and ask if there's any progress on finding an employee who might come to work. Him: "I'm going to send a guy into Denton to see if they can find him, and if not, we'll find another guy." Just as aggravating is the fact that they tell you ahead of time that a bunch of stuff (an old car battery, some antifreeze, even paint cans) they won't even touch. I know you can't put that in landfills, but you'd think they could help me by taking it to the proper disposal sites, but no way! Until these guys know how to run a business properly, I'd go with someone else. read more

The WORST experience EVER! I called twice and told them exactly what I need hauled off. They quoted me about 225 for two regular cab truckloads worth of concrete and wood. Once they arrived to give me the quote in person, they wanted to charged me almost 600 dollars to haul it away saying that concrete can only be hauled off in 12' stacks so it would take 3-4 truckloads to take it all. The not once mentioned this over the phone the TWO times that I called. This is a total scam. I sent them on their merry way and found someone on craigslist with a trailer that was able to take it the same day for $200 bucks. Junk King is a waste of time! read more

Would give them zero stars if possible. They were late, then called and apologized for being late. They then said they would be at my house at a certain time...once again they were late. Two guys showed up and were very rude and treated my wife and I cold. They then quoted me $433.00 for a load of trash. I had no options considering I was moving in two days (sold my house). I agreed to pay them, so they started. They beat my walls up, had no concern what so ever. I had to tell them I'm responsible for any damage done to the house, so please be careful. They then went on to break my front door hinge. They were here 10 minutes, beat my house up and were rude. You have to be an absolute moron to want to hire these guys (myself included). I sincerely hope this review saves someone some time and money. Just put an ad on Craigslist under gigs and offer someone with a truck and trailer cash money for half the price. read more

Junk King was ASTOUNDING. They sent two guys to face the a terrifying challenge: my kid's old, massive, rotting-wood play set. They came wielding power tools and tore that giant contraption down and hauled it all away fast. One of the guys took a gash to his hand during this, but he bandaged himself up and kept powered-on. These guys are courageous and Junk King will be my ONLY company to get rid of my excess stuff. read more

As a widow, sorting through 41 years of accumulated stuff is not easy. I was in tears. Then three bright, happy, courteous young guys show up and helped me let go. Eric, Micah and Reuben were phenomenal. They even found a picture in a drawer that I had missed. Fast, friendly service was the best part and the price was very fair. Beware, when you search Junk Removal in Justin, TX it says they cover your area. It is false advertising! They will not cover 76247!

My husband took off early from work one day so that he can get an estimate on a haul of old furniture and misc. items but after 4 hours of waiting they called to let us know that their truck broke down and that they couldn't make it. A few days later my husband arranged for them to come between 3-5. Again they called over and over to let us know they will be late. By 7 my husband was so frustrated that he cancelled. I just don't get the high reviews that other people are giving this company. They probably are bogus reviews because this has got to be the most unprofessional, inconsiderate people we've ever had to deal with. Stay clear of this company!! read more

BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY (just like another review which I did not see before I booked them). My experience raises serious questions about their integrity. I called and texted the number on their web site. I got a text back from Chelsea quoting me $178 plus tax for two refrigerators. This was generally in line with other quotes I had received but went with these guys because I thought they were local and had good reviews. Got a confirmation number for Saturday. When they showed up, the driver told me the cost would be $298. I showed him the exchange of texts with Chelsea. He said does not matter, it is $298. He started to make excuses that you cannot rely on what the call center quotes and/or if you book online, it might be less. I told them this was clear bait and switch and I was not paying more than what was quoted. They left and I called the call center a couple times. Finally spoke with Jakash (I think his name was). He could not address why the quote from Chelsea was $178, but said he contacted the owner of the franchise, who I think must be Bill Rice, in Aubrey, Texas. He said the owner would not honor the rate quoted. I texted again and Chelsea responded that this is the rate she comes up with for that franchise for two refrigerators. She said owner would contact me. I doubt it. Contacting others that had given me quotes to schedule a time. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General of Texas for bait and switch business practices. My advice is find another company. read more

The guys called me 15 minutes before arriving and when they arrive, I showed them all the junk I had and he gave me a price based off his price chart. Got my $30 off from booking online. They took everything and load it on their truck. I paid using my credit card and they sent me a receipt. Fast and easy. I will use them again. read more

The actual service provided was very good. They came when expected and they were amazingly quick in loading everything. The people that came were courteous and helpful. In a previous review, I was very dissatisfied by the rude customer service rep who handled the call when I first requested the service. After posting my dissatisfaction, the owner called me to let me know that he investigated the situation, provided his sincerest apology and informed me that they have rectified the situation so no one else would be treated as I was. This attention to customer satisfaction along with the actual service provided is why I would recommend this company. Kudos to the owner for taking action when a customer is unsatisfied. read more

Junk King is great and I have already recommended them to some friends. The guys who came were very courteous, efficient and quick with their work. In less than 30 minutes, I could see my garage floor again and it was a fantastic feeling to see all our junk being hauled away. On top of that, I was very pleased with the cost. A couple of years ago I used another junk hauling service and the cost was nearly double what we paid Junk King. I will definitely call these guys again when the need arises. read more
