Left me waiting for 4.5 hours. Never showed up. Didn't call. Save your time and money.

I contacted Junk King this morning and by 1pm my pile of junk was gone! Leslie did the quick scheduling and the two gentlemen were here in no time. They were friendly, polite and did a wonderful job making sure the area was clean when they left. I would definitely call them again! read more

I needed to hire a company to remove furniture that was not eligible for donation, and due a general cleanout of my fathers condo. Booking process was easy (on line), confirmed in a reasonable amount of time, friendly reminders of the appointment. What really sets them apart is they gave a heads up on their way, showed up on time, and the workers were very polite, and worked hard to get the work done. They had it all done in about 1.5 hours, and did not complain at all about all the items needing to be removed, including a refrigerator. They would check with me on some items to verify that I did want to get rid of them, which I thought was nice, and at the end wanted to make sure they were able to get everything I wanted. Pricing was very reasonable, and agreed to prior to the work starting I definitely would recommend and hire again if needed. read more

I had a fantastic experience with these guys. The team was prompt, courteous, and incredibly efficient. They handled all of my items with care, and their attention to detail was impressive. The entire process was smooth from booking to completion, and their transparent pricing was both fair and straightforward. I was particularly impressed with their commitment to recycling and donating items whenever possible. If you need reliable and eco-friendly junk removal, Junk King is the way to go. Highly recommended! read more

BAIT AND SWITCH I emailed a picture, dimensions and weight of my hot tub and asked for a firm quote, $328. At 400 lbs it's obvious that a two man crew cannot move this hot tub. Upon arrival "need to saw it up @ $100 hour" DUH!! Ripoff artists. read more

Excellent job! Prompt, courteous, professional service. Followed instructions "to the t", self-starters, no distractions, cleared out a large house of mainly clothing, and a few pieces of furniture in less than three hours! Way to go! Highly recommend! Terrific value for the money! read more

Great service and communication from beginning to end. The scheduling part was easy, and the team actually arrived earlier than the scheduled time to make sure all jobs could be completed in a timely manner. Tyrone and his buddy are great and would recommend this company to anyone! read more

Armin and Crew emptied our house when we were moving. So much stuff we were not moving ! They took it all! Fast and courteous. Amazing how much you accumulate over the years that you really don't need. Call them! You won't be sorry! read more

Happy with the service, the team showed up on time and no issue of completing the work!

I recently began a management position at a company in Skokie that just moved into a new building. When I arrived to my new office, it was filled with used office furniture. I was tasked with getting rid of it either via donation or junk removal. Since Covid, drivers are scarce, so finding a donation possibility was not possible. So, I got three different quotes and chose Junk King Chicago North. They just left and the movers were professional, fast, and courteous. Excellent. I would definitely recommend this company. Got Junk? needs this high standard of competition! read more

Came out on time, helped get rid of a lot of junk including bricks. Was simple & affordable. Would use them again in a nano second! (Got them on Yelp.) read more

Really speedy service. Great response time. Definitely will contact this company if I need service again.

So good. We had to clean out my dad's apartment. They came in, quoted close to what the estimate was online, and quickly took everything away. No hemming and hawing, no "we can take that away but", just very professionally got the job done. read more

Ugly metal shed needed to be dismantled and junked. Fastest response and best price. Quickly did the job. Last minute I asked them to remove an old 10 foot wooden post (dont know what it was used for, but the previous owners had put it there). They cut it down flush to the ground at no extra cost and took it away. Thanks! read more

So I found Junk King after a couple days researching and ultimately I saw how highly rated this place was so I went for it. In preparation for a big move I had to get rid of a good amount of "junk" that I no longer needed. I had my day planned for it and had family here to help with everything. To my surprise, what I thought was a booking for a dumpster type service where we do it ourselves, in fact turned out to be the full service- you tell them what to take and they haul it off. This brings me to the one gripe I had about everything. The website gives the impression that they offer a diy dumpster service as well as the kind where they do the heavy lifting and haul everything away. The two young men who helped that day explained that they don't actually offer the dumpster service where you do it yourself at all. They said it must be the junk kings in other states. So with that said, it was a total miscommunication between me and everything that the website says they offered! I think the website should be a little more clear so that customers know exactly what they are booking. Misunderstandings aside, I am overall still happy with the service as they took out everything that was bulky and a pain to get rid of so no complaints there. I just was a bit surprised and if anything felt bad as we could've been more prepared for the guys. If there was ever a need for this type of service I'd definitely consider it. read more

Great service at a great price. The entire experience with Junk King was easy and professional from start to end. It was easy to book a time for pickup on their website with plenty of time options to fit my schedule. Then before the actual appointment, they kept me well informed of the time and dates through reminder e-mails and a call in the morning before they actually came. The 2 guys who performed the junk removal were extremely thoughtful and detail oriented in their work. They were careful in how they moved things, so that they didn't harm my floor or wall at all (even though this probably took a lot more trips). They asked me about certain items I wanted to keep (like laminate flooring) that I hadn't identified at the beginning. They also did a very good job of clearing the space of small junk and debris after all the big items were moved. A few other small things impressed me about their work as well. Some of the items were fairly heavy, but they still parked in the street instead of the driveway and just moved things further. They made sure to ask before they used any facilities or items in the house (like a paper towel). They were enthusiastic and had smiles throughout the entire process. And they provided a quote before any work was started and the final price came to exact amount expected: no hidden fees or other things. I'd definitely use Junk King again for any future needs. They were fast, friendly, and the price came out a lot lower than what I was expecting to pay based on Yelp reviews of other companies. A perfect experience from start to end. read more

This company was a Class Act from start to finish. We had to remove 2 SubZeros after so many companies gave us a hard time Junk King came and they removed both without a problem. They were nice enough to come and assess prior to taking them out, gave us a price and kept their word on everything. Thank you to Joe, John, Shant, Anthony, Darius and Ryan for a fantastic job. We will only use your company every time in need. Junk King in Northbrook read more

My sister and I had the overwhelming task of clearing my parents' house out in one week to sell. I will say that paying for Junk King was one of the best investments of my life! Let's just say my parents are "horderish". We went through the entire house and sold and gave away the furniture that we wanted to and saved the paperwork and other items that we wanted to. Then we left the rest as it was. That's when four guys from Junk King came in and bagged everything up and cleared everything out, including a washing machine, a mattress, a bunch of papers and misc. items, clothing, and stuff left over from our garage sale all within three hours! It only took them a half hour to clear out the entire second floor. They were very easy to work with and very efficient. They were careful not to ruin the freshly painted walls. The price came in at just a little more than what they quoted us before hand that was because it took them an extra truck full of items than they anticipated. I highly recommend using Junk King if you have to clear out a house. It's much more efficient than paying for a dumpster plus they are able to recycle 60% of the items. read more

Junk King service was amazing! Really great and friendly employees and so happy to have gotten junk removed! Definitely will be using you guys for all my junk removal needs in the future! read more

Great job - showed up on time - clean removal and cooperative - good experience. When paying by charge you will be asked for a tip ranging from 15 to 25% - given the work took 30 mins 15% of $500 ... $75 for a two person crew ... seemed high so ended up giving them smaller cash tip and felt a little guilty. I ended up dropping a star off the rating - had to do more cleanup than expected - swept driveway of debris, picked up large metal screws (3 to 5 inches) and large metal washers in yard after disassembly of playset. read more

I personally don't like to give poor reviews and prefer to recognize people/companies for their good services. However,it is not the scenario with Junk King. Please be aware of their bait & switch on quotes. That's not the worst of it. Their two workers that removed our one piece couch from the basement were totally inept. Despite me suggesting to them three times on how to maneuver the couch up the stairs, they completely ignored my suggestion: as if I was not present. Then, one of the worker decided to break/saw the couch in half without asking my permission and not placing any protective plastic on the carpet to capture any debris from sawing the couch in half. Furthermore, worker didn't have any personal protective gear and was very amateur in using the electric saw. Unreal! I was scared for the worker in potentially sawing his fingers-off and ignored my comment of "be-careful". Totally appalled by his disregard of my comments. I followed up with the office and they too like their workers ignored my concern and comments. It's been 6 days since my service, radio silence! They damaged my walls and loosened my stair railing. As the saying goes pictures are worth a thousand words and their lack of follow up is disgraceful. Hence, my review. Disappointed! read more

Easiest company to work with. After reading the amazing yelp reviews I booked them on line for the next day. They called a little before our scheduled time to see if they could come early. They gave us a very good price to move several large pieces of furniture and a lot of other large and small miscellaneous items. They were fast and very careful not to damage our home as they moved the pieces out. I will be booking them again and I highly recommend them to everyone. read more

I used Junk King to finish a house clean out. The crawl space was packed full and a total mess and the rafters above the garage were equally as atrocious. Junk King sent two trucks and four men and in a few short hours had both spaces totally cleaned out. The crew was very professional and all worked extremely hard on a very hot day! If I could leave more than five stars it would definitely be warranted. I will definitely use them again as they are far superior to other like services. read more

Prompt, courteous and professional. They cleared out my dad's basement, as well as two sheds in back filled with junk. The team of 6 guys that did the work were awesome. I have used Junk King 3x's so far. Each and every time The Service is Fantastic! Without a doubt these guys are Hard Working individuals! The Rates quoted are up to par. Completely affordable. We had a sofa that could not be donated due to stains and tears. I contacted Junk King after seeing their red truck in the neighborhood. My first contact with them was through text. Nisha was very responsive and answered my questions - no pressure. The cost of sofa removal was reasonable so I decided to book the pickup. I was called 15 minutes prior to their arrival. The two movers were courteous, professional, wore masks, and removed the sofa in 2 minutes. I would not hesitate to use Junk King Chicago North again. My experience was positive from start to finish! My entire experience with Junk King Chicago North was actually really enjoyable. Jake (I believe that was his name, forgive me if it's not!) called me this morning to see if he could adjust my appointment time as he had some men in my area already. This actually worked out better for me, (the sooner my junk is out of my house, the better)! He said he'd call when the guys were about 10 minutes out, which he did, and the guys arrived right when he said they would. Jake was awesome when it came to communication throughout the process, and made sure to honor the $20 off "coupon" that I got for booking online (which I actually forgot about so I'm glad he was honest and brought it up!). He quoted me the price over the phone and gave me a better price than I've seen advertised at a lot of these junk hauling companies I've been looking into. Additionally, Jake was super personable and friendly, and just overall a nice person to talk to on the phone. When the guys arrived at my house the whole process was over and done with in about 5 minutes. They found my place easily (most people do not due to maps incorrectly labeling our house), hauled out my full size mattress and box spring into their truck, and accepted my payment with NO issues whatsoever, and NO trying to get me to pay extra due to stairs, coming inside, etc. Just an overall honest and great company to work with. I also want to note, that I hired a different company yesterday to remove the same full size mattress and box spring but they took my money and no called, no showed me, and left me waiting around for them to not show up for 5 hours. (After that complete disappointment I booked Junk King Chicago North at 9:30 PM last night and it is 10:45 AM the next day and my "junk" is already gone. I wish I would have just found JKCN in the first place. My experience today with Junk King, versus my experience yesterday with the "other" company has been like night and day. I would recommend Junk King Chicago North to anyone, any day, and am honestly impressed and so grateful for the service I received. I hope I find some more junk I want to get rid of soon, just so I can work with them again :) Thank you Junk King Chicago North!!!! read more

Can't say enough good things about this removal company. They quoted me the best price for my needs and were very accommodating as to the available times to do the job. They were in and out with half a truck load of stuff from my basement in under half an hour. Fast, clean and extremely polite. The crew was able to answer my questions in stride, without letting me slow them down or feel like I was getting in their way. They were very professional and courteous. I will definitely use them for any removal services I have in the future and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone who needs anything taken away. read more
