Such a fun place to visit. I went on one of the few weekends a year when it's open to the general public without appointment. It was very busy and crowded at the entrance, but they had staff directing traffic and there was still enough parking available. Other very helpful staff members were available at the entrance to the gardens themselves with maps and directions. Many of the greenhouses are still not open to the public on general admission days, but just about all of the garden areas were. There are so many different varieties of plants and environments in a relatively small footprint that you can explore everything in 1-2 hours, depending on how quickly you tour. I particularly liked the Southwestern patio garden, the waterfall area, the carnivorous plant garden, and the sunken rain garden. There were several greenhouses open with an enormous variety of plants for sale, ranging from very reasonable to basically an investment. Various food trucks were also available, so if this type of facility interests you, you can make a very rewarding afternoon of it.

Amazing garden with a wide selection of plants! I love all the walking paths, the sunny garden, and the two waterfalls. I've been here three times already and it never loses its appeal. Love love love this garden!

What a beautiful place! It was relaxing and fun to get to walk around and see all of the flowers and greenery! I saved their schedule so I can go back in the summer and fall. Highly recommend for those who love natures beauty!

What an amazing garden with such beauty to behold in nature. We took a self-guided tour on one of those free open to the public weekends. It was an absolute joy strolling trying to identify the trees, shrubs and plants. Snapping pictures. All I needed was lunch, a book and a bottle of wine. It's worth visiting if you enjoy being outside...after pandemic who doesn't enjoy outside. Child friendly too if your kid likes to run and climb...but not too wild. Looking forward to going back on the next free weekend in the spring. Oh...right down the street on the right is the Historic Rosenwald School. One of the first schools built for African Americans in the 1920's. Full of history and they do tours usually on the same free weekends. Enjoy.

I went as apart of their open house to the public weekends in mid July. During this time you can come without tickets and see the beauty that is this botanical garden. There is regular and overflow parking. While not the most accessible I saw many parents easily move about with strollers and persons of all ages and abilities enjoy. I have some neuromuscular disabilities and was able to move through pretty fine and not lose my balance. I felt a little unstable in some areas but never teetering. The guides at welcome tent are very knowledgeable and friendly to welcome and help everyone with map orientation as apart of their plant identification magazine. There's total, semi, and non-shaded garden areas so you can choose which and where to go. Pack on the sunscreen!!! We went at 9 am and by 10:30 we were quite drenched. Thankfully although we forgot bug spray no bug bites to show. There's water available with compostable cups or you could refill your bottle as well as some plants for purchase. Be respectful of no outside food or drinks as these are some very unique plants. There were some funny dad jokes to go along with the plant names that added a sense of humor. I took probably 50+ pictures and am coming back next weekend and hope to bring my dad by when he comes to visit. A great learning experience for all ages! Thanks to the WRAL article for bringing to knowledge this gem.

I Love This Place. You live close? Go every month? Driving through? Stop. This is the place to stop. It's free to walk the grounds. Driveway looks like a private residence. Parking is in the back. Signs take you back to a sign in book. (Only awkward moment is employee has to sign you in; no writing for you.) You get a map and magazine and then you are set free. I've never been to a botanical garden with such variety. And such variety for sale. I was there for 2 hours. Strolling. Sitting. Enjoying the views from many different angles. Get up and go. Just make sure they are open. Hours can vary by season. Overheard a guide tell a group they happily put on free tours for groups. Contact them to book.

I am obsessed with this plant nursery. I've visited 3 times this year already. First time I stopped by to pick up an order and the next two times during their open garden days. I still have not made it to all of the greenhouses and walkways open to visitors. They have so many beautiful areas to admire and plants for purchase. Each time I visit, I am impressed by their selection and their helpful, knowledgeable employees. As soon as I had a question there was an employee nearby to talk to. The plants can be pricy depending on the variety. That being said, the price is worth it since the plants are well bred and cared for. They offer native, rare, and exotic plants. All of the plants I have purchased so far are doing very well. View their selection online, order for pick-up or delivery, flip through the catalog, or visit during their open garden days. Overall, great place to view and purchase plants, I recommend this plant nursery to others!

The Juniper Level Botanic Garden is a jewel. They have created an oasis containing over 30,000 plants from around the world. You will find lots of inspiration for your garden whether you have shade, full sun, and even arrow spaces. Plan on spending some time to absorb the beauty of the 28 acre garden. The garden is a living botanical classroom on how to create sustainable landscapes. No chemicals are used in the lush gardens; it's all in the mixture of soil, Sunshine, proper water, and drainage. The garden has repurposed scrap concrete to create a wonderful crevice garden. The garden is open limited weekends so check the website. Do make a trip to this incredible place and prepare to be inspired.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! This is definitely something I'm so happy I stumbled upon! What an absolutely gorgeous, relaxing place to go and take a stroll and see wonderful, well maintained plants. The two water falls were gorgeous. This is a place you go to walk and heal your soul. The gardens also provide an excellent example of what their greenhouse plants will look like once they are grown. Wonderful, wonderful place!

I attended the open nursery on Saturday May 6th and was blown away at all the different plants and flowers they grow there. Many tropical plants I did not think would survive even though we live in a warmer climate. They do a wonderful job of displaying every plant in gorgeous settings. I left amazed and will definitely be back for the other Open Nursery days in the future.

We have lived about a mile away from Juniper Level Botanic Garden for 5 years but never made it over until today. After parking Freddy met up with us near the front of the garden and gave us a map with a great explanation of what we could see and the rules of the garden. We spent about an hour walking around and really enjoyed it. Part of the gardens is an unpaved trail and the other is grass so keep that in mind if you are visiting with a stroller. Lots of greenery to see and plenty of shaded areas. There are several greenhouses that weren't open to the public during our visit but we were told they are reopening very soon. Beautiful gem!

First time visiting Plant Delights and this garden. I didn't know what to expect and was a little worried bc it was a chilly day and my kids were not dressed for the weather. We visited the greenhouses first bc I wanted to get a plant. Most of the plants here are for outdoor gardeners and I was hard lessee finding house plants. However I found what I was looking for - an Aspidistra elatior, with white variegation. The gardens were nice. Not as impressive in the wintertime bc a lot of the plants were dormant. But walking through, you can definitely imagine how it will look during the warmer months. I will be returning for their Spring Open House in May. They are open to the public only 8 weekends a year although you can make a appointment most other times to look around. A must-visit for all gardeners, especially if you are looking for unusual and rare plants.

But beyond the perks, I've genuinely been blown away by the talent, the sets, the lighting, and the overall production quality. The cast members are phenomenal, and the passion they bring to the stage is palpable. It truly feels like you're witnessing professional-grade theatre in an intimate community space. The experience is super comfortable too; concessions are available at great prices, the bathrooms are always clean, and the venue is accessible for those with vision or hearing needs, which really shows their commitment to being inclusive. Whether you're looking to volunteer or just catch a great show, Raleigh Little Theatre is an absolute gem. 10/10 Highly recommend!

Parking in the Permit lot was fairly easy, however it is a One Way, and you must bring your patience when exiting after the show. Try to find nearby street parking to avoid a traffic jam. I was lucky to score an Orchestra seat front row in A6. The best seat in the house! Plenty of leg room, comfortable and the best view of the stage. I've never sat behind the Orchestra booth, so this was a treat ! This was my first visit to Little Raleigh Theatre and I am very impressed. This production was impeccable. Tia James did a phenomenal job directing. The cast was perfectly tailored to each character and I appreciated that. What a talented cast ! The music was beautiful and the set design blew me away !!! The acting was stellar ! This was in my honest opinion, better than the 2024 Warner Brothers film. By far! I am planning to return again soon. We laughed. We cried. We danced. We sang ! Much thanks to the staff who run a tight ship. Very organized and excellent customer service. I look forward to attending more performances in the near future. I recently discovered that they also offer acting/ vocal / dance classes for adults at any level. I am excited to enroll this fall and I'm happy to hear that they are bringing classes to convenient city park community centers. A dream come true for me to tap back into my talents and childhood interests.

Greg, Haywood Hall's curator, is so helpful and can answer any question you might have about holding your wedding at the location. The grounds are beautiful and the house as the backdrop to the ceremony is unique. We spent about 16 months planning our wedding. Greg has lots of recommendations for outside vendors, as you need to bring everything, from tables and chairs, alcohol, food, cake, etc. in as none of this is provided by the venue. This gives you a lot of flexibility to plan your own wedding, but does require a lot of time and effort. Both the ceremony and reception sites are outdoor, so be wary of that because there is no flexible rain plan. It might not be the great choice for summer or winter, but mid-April through early June and mid-September through mid-November are perfect for holding a wedding. I've seen the springs blooms and we had peak fall colors the first week of November. Just an all-around unique piece of Raleigh that in my opinion is a great place to have your special day.

I love to garden but do not have a designers mind. Her designs have interest year round with beautiful fall colors, winter having enough evergreens to make it look good when everything else is gone and of course spring/summer is gorgeous. If you have existing plants you want to keep, Susan can put those in the plan and integrate them with everything else. Susan is super responsive and has a great, respectful crew for installation.
