Jesse (Jun's son) just left my house after installing a brand new battery! I had planned on running an errand when my car wouldn't start & I also had to be at work later in the afternoon. I called Jun and he said he would take care of it. A short time later, Jesse gave me a call, letting me know he was on his way with a new battery. He arrived a few minutes later & within 15 minutes, he had it installed! Now, that's what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE & why I will always choose Jun-Tek Automotive as my mechanic of choice! Thank you so very much, Jun & Jesse!! read more

Nice little shop, friendly people... I brought my car in, and unfortunately they weren't able to pinpoint the problem... But it's not really their fault. It's a pretty specific vehicle. read more

We just had our "2013" Mini serviced by Jun at Jun-Tek and we are very happy. The mini was having problems over heating and Jun picked the car up from our house since we are not in PS 24/7. He found a few other problems and took care of repairing everything that was needed. He dropped the car off and parked it in our garage when he was done. Thank you Jun! read more

We have two Nissan Rogues. Our first experience was one car had the AC go out. Another garage down the street quoted $3,100 for replacement of the compressor. A friend at the church recommended Juntech. He quoted $1,600 for the exact job. We have taken both cars there ever since for all repairs and maintenance. Honest, reliable, and dependable, that is our experience. read more

Absolutely one of the best mechanics in the valley. Foreign or domestic he can handle it. I was referred to him by my brother whom Jun has worked on his BMW and Toyota for over twenty years. When I took my Avalon in to him for excessive loud noises when he immediately found the issue (front wheel bearings) and the work was exceptional. I drove away happy and relieved and I have found the honest mechanic I've been looking for...without hesitation I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JUN-TEK AUTOMOTIVE FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS. Thanks Jun read more

jun is a good man. ive been a customer since i bought my first Mercedes a couple of years ago. he's experienced. the car dealers in the Coachella Valley are known widely to be needed to be watched closely. i could tell u some sad true stories of how some treat their customers. this, I stay away from their service centers. and showrooms. its good to have an independent shop like this one. read more

we have been having a squeaky break and brought the BMW X5 in to get it diagnosed. The mechanic inspected the pads and rotors and there was plenty of life still in them. The brakes squeaked off and on. He did not feel we needed to do anything. He charged us a nominal fee and we were relieved. read more

My wife and I drive down to Palm Springs in my Audi s5. After we arrived and relaxed, we were heading to dinner and the car said there was problems with the transmission, tire pressure, engine, all the things you don't want to see...had the car towed to the hotel and tried to find a mechanic. Called Jun-Tek when I woke up and explained my situation, told me to bring it in. I had it towed again to his shop and dropped it off. Fully expected to have. $3k-$5k bill. He called me back a couple of hours later and said there was nothing wrong and he ran through some of the things that may have cause the faulty codes...he said he would charge me for the diagnostics only and I was on my way. Truly the epitome of what you want in a mechanic, honest, fair and thorough. read more

After moving to Palm Springs with our Nissan Figaro, we were a bit concerned about finding a mechanic to work on "Clementine". I had called around and many would not touch her. They didn't get how cool this car is being a Japanese Domestic Market car (JDM) with a right-hand drive. I happened to find Jun-Tek on one of these searches and I found someone who actually loves exotics and so I rolled the dice hoping he would know what to do and to do it honestly. We couldn't have been happier with the results. Clementine is back and better than before. New pumps, belts, filters, hoses, gaskets, new brake lines, fluids, boosters, new master cylinder, struts and shocks. A full-meal deal that was also honestly priced. Jun and his crew are great folks and deserve to have the high rating they have already garnered. Here is one more five-star rating for you guys. Truly a good experience. Thanks! read more

complete rip off mechanics stay away from this shop. They fix your car enough so you have to bring it back a few weeks later. They don't warants and do half repairs. I brought my car back under warranty and they didn't fix the problem and then charged me 400 dollars for a diagnostic. Stay away from this shop read more

Truly wonderful business. Jun is an awesome person, honest, trustworthy, friendly, efficient, fair. We take our Volvo to Jun-Tek and know we are going to get great service. And we know that we can trust him to provide a fair estimate and to do great work. He even made time in the middle of a busy day to take a quick look at an oil leak I was experiencing and fixed it in minutes (while I played with the awesome boxer dog, Othello, at the front of the shop. Thank you Jun! We appreciate your work and your shop. read more

Awesome crew. So grateful I found them for my BMW. They get the job done super quick and have fantastic communication. thank you so much.

I've been taking my Mercedes-Benz GLK350 to Jun-Tek for a few years now and have always been satisfied. Recently they saved my engine! Mechanics are honest and charge a fair price. Brent at the front desk offers amazing customer service. Highly recommended! read more

THIS PLACE (GREATER SIGN - because yelp doesn't allow the greater sign character) ANYWHERE ELSE. Bryan, Jun, Noel, and the team definitely deliver the best service when it comes to cars. From oil changes to replacing a broken side mirror this place is definitely my "go to" place when anything happens to my car. Even though I currently live in Burbank, I still go out to all the way to the desert to get my car worked on by them. They have always been so helpful and trustworthy! =) read more

First time I used Jun-Tel was for a second opinion from an estimate with the VW dealership. They were awesome, showed me what needed to be done down the road, and was not needed to be done. They charged me nothing for this. Yesterday my car started smelling like fuel, I called them in the morning, they said to bring it right over. They fixed it immediately and charged me a fair price. I wish more businesses were like this. read more

I Towed my car into Jun-Tek on Thursday October 17 2018 for overheating (2007 Infiniti M35, 65,000 miles). Jun-Tek gave me a verbal quote for $4,000, then changed it to $5,200. They did not give me a written quote, and they did not start on work. After ten days, they gave me an estimate of TWO MORE WEEKS to repair. They recommended that I drive the car to a local new car dealer before it overheated and trade it in without telling them it had a problem. I lost confidence in their shop and I had the car towed to another shop on Monday, Oct 27 2018 Apparently, Jun-Tek never actually diagnosed the car. My car was repaired by the second mechanic for $645 in two days -the water pump and thermostat were replaced (and they gave me a two year warranty on parts and labor). This was the same part, exactly, that Jun-Tek worked on in March 2017. I'm guessing that they suspected that their work was the problem and may not have wanted to take responsibility. They wasted ten days of my car sitting in their shop. Now the car has a new scratch on right rear fender, apparently from having sat around their repair shop for ten days. read more

OMG. What a find this place is. The seat in our Mercedes stopped working. We were told it would be $900 to $2300 to repair. We took it to Jun-Tek. We were met by Brent who was very helpful in getting the order written up. Later in the day they called us to tell us it was a cable that had snapped and they were going to try and repair it. A couple hours later we got a call that it was fixed and working properly. The cost was $300 not the $900 to $2300 the other places had quoted. When we picked up the car we met Jun, the owner. He was so pleasant and genuine and explained everything they had done. It is great to know that there is a place like Jun-Tek that you can trust with your car and that will give you a fair shake on repairs. 5 STAR all the way!!! read more

Hands down the best auto shop in the desert! They are reliable, trustworthy and dependable. Two thumbs up!

We moved to Cathedral City almost three years ago, own a 2012 Toyota Corolla, and have only used Jun-Tek for the maintenance whenever that pesky light goes on. (Happily, we haven't had to have other work done.) Every time, they've done a great job. Couldn't be happier with the service and the personable staff, always accommodating. They know what they're doing and no attitude or fear of being ripped off as happens with some automotive shops. Thanks, guys. read more

We chose Jun=tek automotive because of the good reviews. However we were disappointed with their neatness and customer service. When my wife went to pick up her S class Mercedes she found the fuse box cover on the floor, an A/C vent cover hangig down and the car very dirty (it had been there awaiting parts for a week. The shup refused to wash the car which my wife always kept in an immaculate condition read more

We have gone to Jun-Tek several times for servicing our car, a 2002 Mercedes with relatively low milage and having repairs made. The people there are very honest, efficient and friendly. We were told by someone else that we needed " a repair" of something amounting to about $ 480.00 and they told us there with the mileage on our car that such a repair is not likely. This was several tears ago. I would ALWAYS go to them when in the desert. Highly recommend for honest efficient and reliable service. read more

They quickly found the problem on my Audi and had me going in 1.5 hours. They were a bit pricey ($125 for repairing a wire), but I don't think that I could have found any better. read more

Fast service and I do not feel I was taken advantage of. Had a bad leak on drivers side at the arm that connects to wheel? I ran over a curb. They replaced and checked out the other side as well. Really they could have said I need to replace the other but they did not! I would not have known if I needed or not. My Mercedes was ready when they said it would be which means a lot to me!! I hope I do not need them again ha, but if I do I will return. Oh and yes I did call the dealer to see how much the same repair would cost, and yes i got a deal . read more

These guys are great. They know what they are doing and after having them work on both my cars, a BMW and a Mazda MX-5 I trust them and know they do quality work. We take our cars her to be serviced as thwy are so honest and helpful. Thank you Brent for all your great advice.

I was looking for a good mechanic to work on my BMW as an alternative to the expensive, and not too competent, local dealer. I had previously looked up Jun-Tek on yelp and thought I would give them a try the next time I needed work. About two weeks ago the electric water pump failed on my BMW and I called Jun-Tek to see they could get me in. They got me an appointment immediately, they replaced the water pump and thermostat and I also had them flush and refill the brake fluid at the same time. Brian was great in helping with the appointment and Jun and his people did a quick and thorough job on the car. I must comment that Jun had up-to-date computer diagnostic equipment which gave timed procedures through the cars OBD computer for both the water pump and brake flush, as good as or better than the dealer. Work done quickly and price was considerably lower than that quoted by dealer. Since then I returned to get some additional work done, replaced front wheel bearing hubs, and work was done quickly and efficiently at a more than fair price. Kudos to Jun and his crew. Jun-Tek now has another loyal customer. read more

I have been going to Jun-Tek since they were Tys automotive, so for almost 20 years now. When Ty left I choose to give Jun a chance an he did ok but wasn't anywhere close to Tys quality, but i kept giving him chances since he was familiar with my 93 Toyota pickup. The last three year he has been really declining in his workmanship an him trying to get over on me as I'm having to bring my vehicle back up there sometimes up to three times for something to be fixed that he said it was each time I left with it while still charging me each time I return. This last time I took it in for a new starter that he gave me a price of 179.00, which i said go ahead. Later on he called me saying that it wasn't the starter that it was the cables saying he was going to fix that. said he would call me back in a few with a price. He never did call me an no one answered my calls the multiple times I tried calling that afternoon. I finally got fed up an had someone drive me up there before he closed. As I was pulling in he gave me a call saying he was finished an that it was going to be more then the original quote. I said you never did quote me or called me back when you said you was. If he had I would have told him no at 250.00 especially when i looked up the price of the parts that he uses from Napa an they cost only 10.00 a cable. That's 40.00 less then the price of a starter from the same place an the cables would have been a lot easier then the starter cause I could have done them but the stater would have been too much for me in this truck. This is not the first time he has said "my bad" on calling me back an just doing the work without my approval knowing I would pay cause I told him I need my truck today an not try to keep it a few days like he always tries doing. After he told me the price of 250.00 I said I wasn't paying that price, so he dropped it down to the original price of 179.00 an wrote me out a bill for the parts an labor. When he gave the bill I read the part for parts an he tried to charge me almost 70.00 for parts that cost only 20.00 from Napa where he gets his parts from. I confronted him on this an he adjusted the price. That was still almost 120.00 in labor charges to remove two cables an replace them. That's a total of four screws that he took out an put back in to change them. Now don't get me wrong he made it look nice but not 120.00 worth. I paid the bill of 145.00 an told him that I would be bringing back to get my old wires an my money back if this wasn't the problem after I told him what it was after AAA had told me what the problem was. It started up an did again the next day, but when it was time to go home it once again didn't start doing the exact same thing it did before an start sometimes an not others. Because of this I missed an appointment that was much needed an was the whole reason I made sure I told him it must be finished the day before. I have left him a message on his phone an still have not heard from him. I'm a nice guy an don't want conflict so I probable won't go up there for my cables or my money but I will never return to him again, an I don't think he cared if I did as I told him I would after this last time. I've never wrote one of these before an its taken me about 16 years of service for me to finally break my habit an leave him an write a review. As I read his reviews they were all new customers that gave him his stars. So in my mind he only cares for the new customers not the older ones that he is getting over on an charging out-rate prices for parts an labor. read more
