Beware of what I believe to be unethical business practise. I feel robbed. We bought what we thought was a new Mac on October 10th. Our daughter was originally happy with their quick ability to get her a Mac when it wasn't in stock and the price point was good. They told our daughter that once she opened the package, she could not return it. In a few days, the Mac failed and on October 16th, my daughter called and reported the issue to JUMP. She brought it back as soon as she could on November 3rd and they kept it for nearly two weeks. They replaced the logic (mother) board. Since then, the Mac stopped working again, won't accept a charge, is extremely slow, and the screen freezes, turns blue and glitches. I called the store yesterday, Dec 20, 2025, and spoke to "Graham". Unlike what my daughter was told, he said she had 7 days to replace the computer! What?! It's in direct contradiction to what she was told on purchase, and no one told her she could replace the Mac when she called on October 16th, six days after she bought it. JUMP now tells me we're out of luck and to contact Apple directly. JUMP does NOT stand behind their products, staff patronize their customers, and they withhold valuable information or change the information to suit their position. They took our money but offer poor customer support. I asked to speak to the owner; of course I was told they do not know who owns the business. I have since been told by a neighbor that Tim McGuire is CEO and Chair of JUMP. I sent an email to his attention. I have also learned from a fellow in the industry that JUMP sells Apple products that are on clearance from Apple or not up to usual Apple standards. He said JUMP prices Apple products just below what other vendors sell them for to make customers feel they like they are getting a better value. He continued, "You've been JUMPED by JUMP." I went into the store with the objective to simply buy a new phone since mine had broken. David, the manager, took 15 minutes to get off a phone call before even helping me and then tried to upsell me on many different plans and accessories for a phone that I did not want. I tried to express my feelings about only needing and wanting a new phone but I would be cut off and continued to be told about deals for other plans. The experience took nearly an hour due to the lack of acknowledgement of what me as a customer was actually looking for. In future I think it would be better to work for the request of the customer instead of trying to sell them things they aren't asking for excessively. read more

TL;DR - their goods are legitimate, but their services are a scam. I dropped my phone in water, put it in a sack of rice, and took it into Jump+ to have the water removed, and the internals cleaned with alcohol. There was also a grain of rice in the SIM port, and I was told that would naturally be cleaned out when the phone is opened up and cleaned with alcohol. When I came to pick up my 'cleaned' phone, it had water still inside the camera lens, the tech told me its not possible to remove water from the camera lens (and fair enough, if that is indeed true). However later when I tired to put the SIM card tray back in the phone, it would not go in...as there was still rice inside the SIM port. I contacted Jump+ for a refund for the cleaning (as the internals were not cleaned, due to rice debris still being present), they first told me I paid for a Data Migration not a cleaning, after I proved that Data Migration includes cleaning, they changed their argument to cleaning does not include rice removal...which I find ridiculous, as the literal definition of cleaning is removal of debris. So I paid nearly $60 for water to be removed from phone, and for a cleaning...got a phone back with water still in it, as well as rice, and after a long back & forth over email with a 'Graham' was told I would not be getting a refund, and that its unfortunate that I misunderstood the services being provided. Had iPhone 13pro repaired here with Apple care .....had SIM card errors immediately afterward...... first tech ran diagnostics and said no issues then they blamed it on me, then they blamed issue on service provider, then they claimed they fixed it, but issue returned before I left the store, then they said they replaced all the hardware but Apple wouldn't approve the repair they finally sent it away to Apple and the next week Apple sent me a iPhone 14pro.....six trips to the store in total.....I live 45 min away!!!!! And now I need to buy a new case and screen protector for the new phone......so it still costed me $70 and 8 hrs of frustration dealing with these guys!!!!! I had an issue with my iPhone and brought it in to jump plus twice. They suggested buying a new phone as they could not fix mine. Same issue with the new phone. I phoned Apple Canada and they said my SIM card was old. They would send me a replacement for free within a week or go to Rogers. Rogers put the SIM card in for free. Wow! Spent $1500 for phone, case, screen protector etc. I did try to talk to Jump Plus their manager was going to call me back. Still waiting.... read more

Don't get Jumped. I got jumped plus I wound up duressed into a recall-worthy, 'seconds' quality, smaller, older laptop with no useable ports. I paid over three thousand dollars for their flagship MacBook Pro product, a new 14 inch MacBook with 8 ports and a Magic Mouse. It kept acting virused for months as apple/jump plus did factory resets in ignorance of their own device. The installed antivirus was clashing with the built in antivirus. Apple and Tammy and staff at Jump plus in Limeridge Mall Hamilton Ontario Canada never figured this out and instead exploited the distress that they had created. Exploited my distress to get back to work, to stick me with an old 13 inch MacBook with only 2 useless 'thunderbolt' ports and a recall worthy, trojan-horse "Touch Bar' ("Touch Bar' is Apple using paying customers for failed product experiments). Stick me with this old 13 inch as an even trade! No partial reimbursement! I think Apple may be using Jump plus to dump clearance and 'seconds' merchandise that it does not want to be associated with. That may be why Apple allows the serious trademark infringement of the jump plus stores looking like Apple stores. The only thing "premium retailer" about them is the price. The employee helping me kept assuming I had mistreated the computer and spilt something on it, when I told him specifically that that wasn't the case. He told me it would cost at least $700 to fix plus the amount it would cost to fix the internal damage he assumed it had, even when I told him there was NO water damage. I decided to get it fixed at an Apple store in Toronto instead and it cost 0$ since this model is on the list of recall models because after manufacturing a lot of keyboards had issues. It is Apples POLICY to fix the 2017 MacBook pro keyboard for FREE if it stops working. I was almost scammed $1000 here, they take advantage of students. Please do not go here for repairs read more

These guys are amazing. My iPhone was having terrible trouble charging, and I brought it in thinking I'd need an expensive repair. They determined that the charging port was just clogged with pocket lint, cleaned it out in a few minutes, and didn't even charge me! Disappointing service. I took an iPod there for repair. They had it 2 weeks, I called Apple and they were still waiting for verification and recommended I address the repair directly through Apple. I did. I got my iPod back from jump+ contacted Apple and had a new replacement back in 5 days including the weekend. I will not use this so called Apple repair centre again. No real reason why I had this issue, just always sorry. Beware. read more

They don't answer their phone; message says to check web site for product availability; web site says "In Stock" available in store only; travel 50 minutes in; guy I speak with is totally unapologetic, tells me almost gleefully that they don't have any, haven't had any, and won't even be getting any for a week. OMG my 2 month old iPhone 8 went to apple heaven, I did noting to the phone only plugged it in to charge and it died. Took it to the bell store I bought it at and who directed me to jump, who treated me like it was my fault their phone died, even threatened if they saw water inside they would close it up and give it back, of course no water. They said here take this loaner it's got only 16 gigs which is so slow I could walk faster then it and at that point told me I break it I own it, just like that I believe that his name Jon. I was also told it would be 3-5 business days until my replacement was returned it's been 8 days and the only reason I know its not coming back for another week is because I called them and essentially was told to bad lady and nope we have no other loaners. If you can people don't buy apple and for sure don't buy here! Very unhappy! Called said Bell store to be told out of their hands are freaking kidding me..bell gets a minus star and would give these guys less if I could. read more

My daughter's charger for MacBook Pro (covered by Applecare) stopped working (no light, no charging) so we took it to Jump+ for a replacement. They asked to us to come back and bring the laptop as well (we thought it was for the warranty info). They took both the charger and the laptop into the "backroom" and came back a couple of minutes later stating that both the laptop and the charger are working fine. After some discussion we made them to connect the charger to the laptop at the service counter. There was of course no light and no charging info showing. They claimed that since "their testing software" at the back says that it is all OK they cannot replace the charger under Applecare but we are welcome to buy a new one if we need one. After some more discussion on the obvious we left the store and immediately called Apple customer service. We learnt a) there was no reason to bring the laptop in with the charger b) Apple arranged appointment for us in the Yorkdale Apple store for the next day morning (the charger was replaced under Applecare and the whole exchange took less than 30 seconds.) After this experience I wondered about the repair of the laptop cracked glass Jump+ did a few weeks before this incident. Jump+ insisted at that time that the glass/screen/camera/lid is one unit and the glass (LCD was just fine) cannot be changed on its own. Since they were the "premium" authorized dealer we did not question the info and paid close to $600 for the repair. When we called Apple customer service we were told, to our surprise, that while the one unit story is true for MacBook Air, the glass on MacBook Pro can be changed DIY and the kit is under $50. To our satisfaction, Apple ordered Jump+ to issue my daughter a full refund for the unnecessary repair. When my daughter went to the store to get her credit card credit, the Jump+ staff was instead of being apologetic, angry and aggressive. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Jump+ (the Queen's campus store has according to Apple Customer Care good user feedbacks.) read more

Horrible customer service... I called from home to confirm that they had INSTOCK a white ipad mini for my daughter. After placing me on hold they confirmed they had a few in stock. I confrimed white and they said yes at which point I asked them to confirm price so I knew it was the 16gb which they placed me back on hold and camed back with the correct price. Skip ahead one hour. I drive in from 45 minutes away only to be told they don't have any instock. I asked if they sold some recently and they confirmed that they haven't had white in a while. I explained that I had just called at which point they tried to tell me that some people have been getting the wrong store number, one from Guelph, On. I explained to them that a 613 area code wouldn't call Guelph at which point one person assisting me simply walked away to the back and another sales associate just shrugged it off and stated theres nothing he could do. No attempt to offer me a discount on a future ipad or accessories. No apology...nothing. This store will not be getting any future businesss. read more

Went in a few days ago as my 3 year old iPhone 5S was having battery issues. I told them my phone was shutting down randomly and that it had been getting worse and with research I found online I was just in need of a new battery. They charge 90 bucks for a new battery which was "standard" from what I was told (Apple charges the same I think, and I'm pretty sure they're Apple resellers or something along those lines). The guy was 20 minutes late for our appointment but he seemed like he felt bad so I wasn't terribly upset. He took my phone to do some "diagnostic tests" and came back 10 minutes later telling me there was water damage and the battery had gone through too many charging cycles and there was some swelling so it would be "dangerous" to open the phone, therefore a battery replacement wouldn't be sufficient because of the water damage. The options I was given were to buy a replacement phone for about 400 bucks (the exact same phone) or to just buy a new phone altogether. I was skeptical so I told them I'd come back in a couple days. In the meantime I called another company and they charged me 55 bucks after taxes to replace my battery which only took 10 minutes, and I get a 6 month warranty on the battery. Turns out without opening up the phone you can't know there is water damage so Jump plus was full of shit to get more money out of me when all I needed was a battery... read more

Recently spoke to rep. from store about Iphone issue that was being covered by Apple.. told that they could do the repair but asked to check back in a week as they were swamped with the return of the Queens' students. This store is awful. I made the mistake of buying an iPod there, but I should have known better because the first time I set foot in the place I stood around for over ten minutes without getting a greeting. I live nearby, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When the ipod didn't hold a charge I brought it back for a replacement (on a Friday). They acted like they were doing me a favour replacing their defective merchandise, and they said I'd get a replacement on Monday, even though they have dozens of the same thing in stock. On Monday, they gave me an attitude when I called about it. Of course it wasn't in. Who knows if it ever will be. Now I have a new full-time job dealing with rude people so I can just get what I paid for. They have my money and I have nothing. Next time I need an apple product, I'll go to Walmart. That way if it's defective, I can have it replaced no questions asked. read more

Horrible customer service. Had a broken iphone with Apple Care, took them an hour to replace it and give me a new one, that was fine. But as soon as I make a call with the new one the call cuts out intermittently. I make another appointment with them. That day I have a meeting that goes late, so I call to say I'll be 10 min late - they say that's fine, so I head over there. When I get there they say they can't help me because I'm late, so I have to come back the next day, nice waste of my time. Next day they look at my phone for 2 min, tell me they can't replicate the issue so I'm SOL, "try a restore. We could do it, but it'd cost you $25, come back again when it happens". I leave the store, call someone, it happens AGAIN so I go back inside and they won't even talk to the person on the other end to verify it "you could be making it up". I work in customer service for a tech company - there's no excuse for this. They gave me a broken phone, just replace it or fix it - don't just give it back and say "good luck with this broken piece of crap we gave you" read more
