And by the way, he was the only one of 5 requests to respond. If you don't get a response from him that only means it has not hit his email, give him a call. He is very responsive. Days passed and I got sidetracked with another deadline. In a panic I decided to go straight to a number of engravers because my project would have to be put on an express track to be done on time. VisionCraft was not my closest option distance wise but because of my phone conversation with Brett this business was my first stop. I am so glad I went! He exceeded my expectations in every way. The entire drive to this business was spent conjuring Plan B because I really didn't expect my first choice to be possible. Brett received me warmly and promptly gave me his full attention. We discussed my ideas and he was honest about what was possible and what was not, which I appreciated. I doubted that anyone could make my vision a reality in the timeframe that I needed and within my budget. He made it all happen with time to spare. The end result was a set of personalized acrylic frames exactly how I had envisioned them and that I could afford. He is truly a master at what he does, a perfectionist in his work and an honest business person that I will return to with my list of gifts that I would like personalized because I know he will produce the best I could hope for. Another friend recommended Julie Ahalt as the project manager she'd done lots of business printing contracts with. Julie was professional, accommodating, and realistic. She express-mailed paper samples to me, and gave me the estimates and timetables I needed to make decisions quickly. The staff was very professional and caught some errors, unasked, in my address list. The turnaround was rapid, though they definitely dotted their i's and crossed their t's in making sure I approved the proofs first. The quality was excellent - I'm a typography and paper nerd, and loved the results. The price was astonishingly good: two-color printing of 500 textured cardstock invitations, and three matching inserts (40 each, for different events) for just under $500, if memory serves. Didn't need 500 (the cost was nearly identical for 300, and it was still much cheaper than my fall-back option, Costco.com partner Wedding Paper Divas - at $3/invitation). Their press is actually out west of DC, and not in Alexandria, which only matters if it's a true rush job - and they bent over backwards to make it work with my difficult schedule. While I'm not as familiar with the industry standard prices for poster printing, M&M was affordable for my situation.
