We have a metal/iron work business and sometimes our clients request powder coating. The work they…read moredo is very good, detailed and they have it done in a timely manner. We just had to drop off the item and pick up when complete. Twice they have matched what color the client wanted. So far no complaints and we've been using them almost 1 year now. The cost is in the middle. If item is not too large or a big amount, they will have it ready in a week, and they provide quotes in advance when requested.

Three weeks go by, I call and they say it will be another couple of weeks. Stated they had to strip it again because they powder coated the hinge shut. Six weeks from the beginning they call and say it is done. They showed me the now bent up warped and dented cabinets. I asked them if they were proud of the work? They said no. They blamed the sand blaster. Told them the cabinets were useless to me. They said there was no charge. Gee thanks now I'm out two custom metal cabinets from an antique RV. Not only did they bent the metal they also bend the flanges that hold the hinges and several double thickness edges. Then they powder coater over the bent-up metal. Bubbled up dirty powder coating looks like it was coated over sand paper it is so rough. Maybe they can coat a fence post but they should not try sheet metal.

Soda Blasting is a relatively gentle method of paint removal. Faced with the prospect of working…read moreoverhead with paint remover on a 32' hull, we asked around at our local marina. Mike's Soda Blasting was wholeheartedly recommended by three different people. I contacted Mike, and told him were were concerned about the integrity of the epoxy layer under the bottom paint. Any physical paint removal has the potential to go too deep, and he promised to "gentle" it. Mike was interested, gave us a quote, and surprised us by the quick completion of the job. It is everything we had hoped for, with a freshly exposed barrier coat waiting for the bottom paint. Mike was careful to avoid removing the barrier coat. While any blasting has the potential to reveal unexpected defects, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mike to any boater in the "near Annapolis" area needing surface prep.

I would recommend Mike to anyone looking to clean the bottom of their boat. Reasonably priced and one hell of a nice guy. Personable and professional in every way!

Within an hour's time of dropping my pieces off, I received them back, lovingly wrapped, with all prior paint removed, and sanded smooth. Would not have achieved the results without their help. Paid $3650 to C A C for 140 sq ft concrete slab. Work initially seemed ok but we were left with a…read morebit of mess which turned into a spot of bother. CAC workers were on time and showed up reliably, which was helpful. The front and back of slab were plumb, no issues - but the left and right sides were not square as measured using the 3-4-5 square method, creating a problem for tile work. The discrepancy was enough to delay tile install by another contractor. It had to be made right or the tile surface would have been uneven and unattractive. When asked to inspect his work product and make it right, the owner Carlos responded that his measurements were perfect and he had made no mistakes. What could have been resolved with action and accuracy instead led us to hire someone we trust (a different yelp-verified business) who squared the slab and lumpy surround expertly. Their work wasn't bad but the part that wasn't good was mishandled with a closed attitude, unpleasant communication and delays. Finally we recovered $300 of the $450 we incurred to fix the surface and get on with tiling. But not without stress or dramatics.
