I would leave 0 Stars if possible. Last week I dropped off 2 items for repair (chain and clasp repairs) and paid him $75.00 to do both (which is already way overpriced but I didn't feel like driving to Tysons. A week later when my items were ready I asked my husband to pick them up while he was out. When he went to Daviko Gems he had no clue what he was doing, he just asked if these were paid for and Daviko said no and charged his card for $100.00 When he got home we realized he double charged us so I called and he said bring both receipts down and he will fix it. So I did, and he told me no, no refund he "forgot that was the cost." He is a stingy liar who takes advantage of people in the Kentlands. read more

My ring was successfully stretched and it fit great, but the engraving on the inside was scratched. He ended up fixing the engraving and I love my ring even more now! I can see why some people might be put off by the owner's demeanor, if you're hoping for a "Say Yes to the Dress" type of experience when you're ring shopping and are easily offended, I would maybe not come here. I have been in a couple of times. Did a repair on the spot . Very affordable pricing. I went in yesterday to get a new band on my smartwatch and he did it on the spot and would not except my money. He is a very cool guy and did great work on a silver necklace. He is very honest. I had been searching for a place that would help me fit a watch. My best friend passed away and I have one of her watches and wanted it resized (bigger) to fit me. But I didn't have any of the original links. Everyone I had asked had said no, that's a unique band so I can't do anything. Through Google I found Daviko Gems - Kentlands Jewelers and decided to go ask if they could help. Immediately he assessed the problem and said he had spare links that wouldn't be exactly the same but would be similar and do the trick. I entered the store to see how much I can get for my engagement ring since, we (my ex fiancé and I) broke off our engagement and I basically left the store crying because it wasn't for the fact that I wasn't offered any monetary value for the ring but it was for the comments that were said about what I should do with the ring were rude. First, I am sorry that I do not have a jewelry or diamond expert next to me when I am purchasing jewelry and they couldn't tell me that the jewelry that I am about to purchase is going to be worthless, so please DON'T TELL ME THAT THE RING IS WORTHLESS because honestly, the ring is not worthless because at some point in time it meant something to me, yes, I am trying to sell it because I need to pay it off but deep down it hurts that I am trying to get rid of it so, please be mindful of what you say to your clients. i came her for a second opinion for my engagement ring. I dealt with Cheryl, who is very nice to work with. She seems to know what she was doing, she is a graduate of the GIA, and is a graduate gemologist. The price was very reasonable, just $95 for an appraisal, but i had all my GIA certified forms, which made it very easy to appraise. I didn't need any appointment, just dropped by during her hours, and had my report within 30 minutes. Parking was easy to find. read more

I come here to repair my watches and they charge half the price than other places I have gone to. The owner is a nice guy, honest and knowledgeable. I think people should cut the guy some slack. I had 2 bracelets that needed repair and one ring resized (larger) and I really hate driving, so I just looked for the jeweler closest to where I was already running errands. I also did this as a walk-in (no appointment). The work was completed a day or so before promised and I thought the work was outstanding and very fairly priced. I'm not in the market to buy jewelry anytime soon, but I will definitely go back for repairs or possibly to sell things, and I will recommend him to my friends. read more

David doesn't do the watches, but he's a great guy and has good prices. I have no experience with how he works on complicated watches but he's likely just as good. read more

I came here for an appraisal and was very pleased with the customer service. The owner (David) said to just come in as a walk-in (rather than schedule a visit) and he'd help me with the appraisal. When I arrived, there was a couple in there, but the wait wasn't long and David was very easygoing and informative on the value of the different components of the piece and how he arrived at those assessments. Appraisals are $95 written or $35 verbal. He seemed very passionate about what he does and freely offered advice. I really appreciated his ability to talk on a level with me, rather than trying to push an agenda. He had a fairly extensive selection of estate jewelry, and particularly watches. It is kind of hard to find if you're not familiar with this area, but there is parking aplenty. Recommended. read more

Very Bad experience changing the battery in my watch. The gentleman who assisted me either didn't know what he was doing or didn't have the right tools to open the back of my Bulova watch. He scared the back of my watch case very severely and told me the watch was difficult to open because it was so small. He then offered to polish out the scratches, I agree think it may be better. He polished off all of the markings on the back on my watch case. It looks like crap. DO NOT TAKE YOUR WATCH HERE!!!!!!!! read more

I brought two high end watches in to be repaired. One was running slow, the other wasn't running. For the appraisal he wanted $85 to waterproof the watch that wasn't running and another $80 to oil the movement. For the other he wanted $540 to overhaul, explaining it had been damaged during its last service. Waterproofing the first watch involves replacing a gasket that costs pennies. Oh, and it was new as I have an entire box full of them. The second watch had NEVER been open, and an overhaul from the manufacturer costs $500. He got upset when I pointed this out, and told me if I know so much I should do it myself. I got my watches back a few days later (he sends them out to be worked on) and they were both damaged. Neither ran. The backs were loose. He kept the battery from one watch, and I suspect damaged the board as the movement no longer pulses. The other I will send to the manufacturer, but it was working when I brought it to him. I wouldn't do business with this man, he seems to rely on taking advantage of his customers. read more
