When I learned this after the fact and expressed my frustration that it was unfair that I was not properly informed prior to my surgery, the attending doctor apologized, not for their poor care, but because it is unfair to have cataracts in your 40's. She kept touching my leg during our convo, too, which made me very uncomfortable. But don't worry, she assured me I can have the surgery all over again to correct my issue or I can just use reading glasses for the rest of my life for my singular bum eye. The unfettered gall. Will not return, would not recommend.
