I went to Julius for the first time this past Saturday not looking my best, tired and needed something for an event later that day. Every single associate was so friendly and attentive and helped me find something. I thought I might be ignored possibly by how I was dressed/looked but I was helped(just from previous shopping experiences elsewhere) these lovely ladies were helpful, and made me feel happy and good about myself. I was really nervous to walk into this store, but I just have to compliment the ladies working here. They were so nice. This store would fit a working professional man or woman who would like a personal shopper help them figure out a look or find a specific outfit for an event. Or maybe a woman who has a significant amount of income and would like help figuring out how to combine different outfits. From a woman's perspective, the clothes seemed to fit a woman in her late 40's or beyond. Definitely enjoyed my experience here while shopping for a suit. I came in on a Friday morning for a custom suit and enjoyed the time I spent at the store with one of my groomsmen. The fabrics and styles cover a wide variety of tastes, and the best part was I was also able to order a custom white button up shirt, which if you shop around is hard to find. The water/cocktails were a nice touch to the experience, and the customer service was phenomenal. But just like with all great things there is a price. read more

I must have shopped every high-end clothing store from Hong Kong to London. No where do they have a staff like Julius. It always feels like I'm with friends when I go in. Some stores like Julius have a "club like" feel. If you're not part of the "club", you know it. But I've watched Pat and his staff treat total strangers like they have known them for years. A very elegant store filled with lovely, expensive clothes. This is without a doubt the priciest clothing store in the Sacramento area, the cheapest line carried being Armani Collezioni. The men's selection is entirely made up of Italian brands and leans toward the more conservative and business like, most notably Armani, Brunello Cucinelli, Dolce & Gabbana (top line only, no D&G), Etro, and a sizable selection of Ermenegildo Zegna. The women's section carries a good deal of Dolce and some Michael Kors. The staff is friendly and courteous, though the sheer number of salespeople in a relatively small space makes it difficult to browse unfettered. Post-season sales are good, commonly ranging from 50-70% off in some cases. read more

And the level of service is without equal. I have been a customer of the family for decades and have nothing but superlatives to give to the way they have retained the very best attributes of what a top-notch haberdasher should be. I've shopped at Julius for most of my adult life and about half of my wardrobe comes from Bruce and Pat. Most of what I buy is Zegna custom...sport coats, slacks, shirts and suits. Their sense of appropriate style, ability to fit, and impeccable tailoring is on par or exceeds other men's stores I shop at in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, and other cities. In fact, I was in Zegna's flagship store in Milan last Fall with my wife and the sales rep commented on how beautifully my Zegna cashmere sport looked and fit.
