I am so glad that I went onto the 2nd or 3rd page of local search results, because that's where I found Aaron! His website was professional, which is a huge deal to me, and I also saw that he did pickup and delivery. Wow -- that would be a time saver, I knew -- so I gave him a call. He was professional on the phone and asked all sorts of questions about the problem, so I could tell that he knew what he was doing. He picked up my machine, and within a day identified that it was simply overheating. I had read in reviews before I bought the Envy that it was a heat monster, but I wasn't using it for gaming so I figured that I would be okay. Guess not! I have a laptop fan now, which helps, and Aaron installed a program for me that lets me monitor the temps. Since that first transaction, we've used Aaron a few other times, once to fix a broken laptop hinge, another to help us with our home network and router, which was acting up, and yet another to fix the port where the power plug thiny goes in (sorry -- I'm not technical and don't know what that thing is called). We are SO happy to have found Aaron, and will be calling on him whenever we need computer help. He's prompt, professional, and his fees are reasonable, especially considering the fact that he picks up and delivers! I highly recommend Aaron Helps You.

Once I arrived, I called Handle with Care Computer Repair in Mills River, and Judy Dobbs, the owner, took care of me personally. She ordered the replacement hard drive before I even brought my laptop in so there would be no unnecessary delay. As soon as the part arrived, I dropped off my computer, and she had me back up and running quickly. Judy replaced the failed hard drive, performed a clean installation of Windows 11, and what impressed me most was that she truly went above and beyond. She took the time to reinstall my ESET security software, made sure everything was configured correctly, and even upgraded me to Windows 11 Pro for Workstations at no additional charge. Just as impressive was her pricing. The work was completed for a very fair price, and at no point did I feel like I was being sold services or products I didn't need. It's refreshing to find someone who combines exceptional technical expertise with honesty and integrity. Many people may not realize that Judy is not only the owner of Handle with Care, but also an exceptionally talented computer professional. As someone with a computer science degree who spent more than 25 years as a software engineer, I recognize technical expertise when I see it. Judy also has a computer science degree and spent many years in IT management, and it shows. She is knowledgeable, methodical, professional, and genuinely committed to doing the job right. Although I live in Florida, Judy has earned my trust and my future business. When I get home, I'll be purchasing my Windows 11 Pro for Workstations upgrade for my desktop computer and my future ESET security licenses through her without hesitation. If you're looking for someone with exceptional technical expertise, fair pricing, and old-fashioned integrity, I recommend Handle with Care Computer Repair without reservation. Judy Dobbs has earned every one of these five stars. If ten stars were an option, she'd get every one of them.
