Dry cleaning is already somewhat bad for the environment, but Juliette takes this up a notch with excessive plastic use. Unfortunately this is the norm, but normal doesn't make it right--slavery is a good example of why it doesn't matter how normal something is. (Dramatic, I know--not to compare the two, but it's a good example to illustrate this point. Unnecessarily using tons of a material that harms life on earth for thousands of years is just unconscionable--full stop.) My clothes arrived encased in plastic bags that can't be reused because they've been stapled or shut with adhesives that aren't good for a second use. They can't be recycled either--maybe in super niche circumstances, but even then they'll still be around for thousands of years to break down and enter the bodies of living organisms all over this planet and their environments and make them, and us, sick. The worst part is all of this is completely unnecessary. The plastic hangers covered in microplastic-shedding velvet could easily be replaced with metal ones; and for a small cost, Juliette could have used bioplastic instead of petroleum plastic for hangers and/or bags. We need legislation to outlaw this type of behavior ASAP, but in the meantime I'm sending feedback, will request that they not use plastic next time, and will give them back their hangers for reuse. I will update if they comply with the request. In terms of the service, they were very responsive to communication, handled my delicate beaded items very well (they took extra time to ensure everything was handled properly), and got everything back to me (my biggest fear when using a dry cleaner is that they will lose something, and I saw another review saying that when Juliette lost something they actually went out of their way to find it which made me choose their service). I plan on using them again, and will return if they are able to perform services without any additional plastic pollution. I expect I will need to return occasionally going forward since I have a few items that necessitate dry cleaning. My only minor complaint is that they could have done ever so slightly better with pressing and hanging--there was one pair of pants that should have been clipped to the hanger but was folded and draped, and a small wrinkle in the pressing, but that's really about it. My husband paid extra for same-day delivery of his suit, which he needed for a celebration over the weekend. The suit wasn't delivered, and we have had no response to our calls, texts, emails, and even instagram message. We have no idea if the suit has been lost or misdelivered, and are scrambling to find an alternative for the weekend. Be warned. read more

We found this spot since it's the down the block from our apartment. The app makes it really simple to schedule laundry pickup from our apartment lobby. It is a bit pricier than other wash and fold spots in the hood but we're happy to pay extra for the convenience. One thing to note is that I don't love how they organize the clothes.. our sheets/pillow cases are never together and they don't fold the socks. I called Juliette cleaners to arrange for them to pick up my laundry, and have it washed and delivered. I was instructed to go to their app and send a message, which I did. I got an auto response that told me to send a text to a person phone number that they listed. I did that and got a response immediately that someone would be getting in touch to arrange a pick up. This was over a week ago and no one has contacted as of today. I guess Juliette doesn't want or need my business. I ended up using another service. read more

JULIETTE is the type of service you try once and question how you lived without it. It's the way laundry & dry cleaning should be in the city. The app is a game changer and makes it super easy to schedule a pickup. You'll have your clean and fresh smelling clothes returned in a day or so. SUPER CONSISTENT. I'd highly recommend stopping by their shop, it's beautiful and reassuringly clean (the cleaning is done at the flagship store). Customer service is VIP service and would not be surprised if all the top fashion industry heads use this. I had a great conversation with the owner, she showed me her price list an and they did a great job cleaning however they do not follow their price list. the man that runs the store is horrible. he more than doubled the charge to clean my coat in relation to their price list . He over charged me for my laundry and for the table cloth. they do not follow their price list. I asked to speak to the owner, had to follow up for 2 weeks and he never related the message to her. They post their hours however they are not there when they say they are. Until they fire the current guy that is there most of the time I will not return. I am sure the owner has no idea what is actually going on. read more

We have been dry cleaning with Juliette for 3 months or so, and so far, so good! The managers know us by name, and always deliver clean clothes on or ahead of schedule. Email receipts are also much appreciated in 2019. They aren't the cheapest in the neighborhood, but they seem to be better quality. (We have had shirts ruined by two other UWS cleaners). They give you your own garment bag, your clothes come back on beautiful hangers and they even restored my favorite old leather jacket. I love the service Juliette provides, as I can arrange for my laundry and dry cleaning to be picked up at any moment in my day. No more calling and being put on hold. And my laundry comes back clean, neatly folded in a beautiful bag with my name attached. The dry cleaning is hung on beautiful thin closet hangers. No more wire hangers! Im giving this place a one star because zero stars is not an option. They were new to the neighborhood so I gave them a shot and loved them, I used them for about three months straight until it happened.... THEY LOST MY LAUNDRY. I had gotten my laundry delivered the NIGHT before I needed to travel and I had only 1/2 my laundry! I immediately called to tell them, freaking out and the guy that is always there asked if I was sure! OF COURSE IM SURE! They told me this hasn't happened to them so they don't know what to do. I wrote a list of all my clothes that were missing and they told me that I may not get it all back if no one returns it. I had missing work clothes and workout clothes that I cared most about because I spend good money on quality clothes (lululemon, loft, banana republic, urban outfitters...etc.) it took them 5 days to return everything. I was still missing a pair of workout pants and the only good thing they ever did was actually pay me back for the full price of my missing pants. This was only after they tried to give me $50 credit.... as if THAT was going to make things better. Now forward along 5 weeks--- I went back to clean my bed sheets and some other work/workout clothes and this time I wrote down EVERYTHING I was sending, god forbid they lost it again. Someone delivers my laundry and as I unpack I realize it's lighter than what I dropped off... they LOST my laundry AGAIN!!! You would think that they would make a not on my account/ bag saying to be EXTRA CAREFUL! But no, they lost it and blamed the "factory" FORTUNATELY a nice human soul in NYC dropped my clothes off the next day.
