Though I bought the cake yesterday, I was able to come in today and have her write on the cake. Besides the bakery department being top-notch, Hannaford's has the most fresh fish I've seen in three states! Try the Atlantic salmon; it is brought in fresh every day! It is so good/so fresh, you can eat it raw (which I do). This Hannaford is a vital part of the Waltham community. We are all so thankful to have this outstanding high-quality supermarket in our town.

The cashier told me just come back to them if it didn't work. But when I actually went back, they said they can't do refunds and told me to contact the customer service to see if they could help me out. On top of that, whenever I had an issue with a product I bought from this store, they just dodge all responsibility and make customers deal with the problems by themselves. What's even worse, they told me to come back to them if the gift card didn't work, but when I showed up asking for help, they couldn't do anything for me! They straight up lied to me about the gift card refund policy. They didn't even apologize once for this whole mess! They have zero respect and zero honesty to me!

I just stopped in here today after spotting it on the way home from Watch City Brewery, and boy am…read moreI glad I did. Before moving back to this area, I spent more than six years living in a neighborhood in Brooklyn populated largely with Mexican immigrants, which gave me ready access to their grocery stores, meat and fish markets, and restaurants. Now when I talk about Mexican grocery stores I'm not talking about some typical neighborhood convenience store with a little extra emphasis on the Goya products and some yuca, and plantains next to the bananas. I'm talking about Mexican businesses run by Mexican expatriates with other Mexican expatriates in mind, offering the creature comforts of their home and the necessary ingredients for a much revered home cooked meal. I miss those places. I miss having access to tortillas that were made in a factory three blocks away just a few days prior. I miss choosing between seven different types of regional chorizo. I miss the wide the range of queso fresco, imported hot sauces, and dried chilies that you just couldn't find in the other stores around the neighborhood. Walking into Azteca today was like walking back into one of those wonderful Mexican bodegas back in Bushwick. The room is somewhat small, but they waste no space, as nearly every sq foot is carefully laid out with either shelves or coolers. There's peg-board along most of the walls allowing for racks and racks of bagged spices, cellophane pouches of dried chillies, as well as small toys, lady's beauty accessories, and hardware items. The real gold however is in the coolers and on the shelves. Fully ripened avocados, multiple different styles and brands of queso fresco, multiple different brands of chorizo from Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Mexico, and fresh tortillas fill some of the cooler space. And on the shelves; tons of hot sauces, salsas, sofrita, masa mix, mole, more spices, imported snack foods, the entire range of Goya jarred and canned vegetables (most of which don't make it into the big regional grocery chains), coconut milk, etc. Along with the usual conveniences any corner store would offer (laundry soap, trash bags, boxed donuts, cat food) there's a literal plethora (that's right) of South and Central American kitchen culture and unique ingredients that just cannot be found anywhere else. Add in sugarcane versions of coke and pepsi (in glass bottles), a dozen kinds of Latin American sodas, fresh produce, and some incredibly friendly staff, and you cannot fail to find value in shopping at Azteca. Don't settle for the 'international aisle' at Stop & Shop, or Shaws - come to Azteca and get it from the people who know.

I plan on disputing it with the bank because it's not in the store listed and I didn't consent to it. There are not prices marked in the store so you don't know what you'll be charged. In the past they've done some tactics to get extra dollars out of people like charging 2.50 for a plastic bag at one time. They are busy and popular enough to not do these things.

I decided to only get one thing I needed and I had to ask someone to get it for me out back. As I walked around I keep seeing random product on the floor with clutter. As I walk my way to frozen food there is a weird odor towards the back of the store. Which makes me not want to come back. Frozen foods veg there are empty holes across the whole section which made it difficult to get what I needed. So I passed and will grab the rest of the produce and frozen food I need somewhere else. Icing on the cake was when I checked out half my basket was incorrect price. I had someone go do a price check because they were on sale. I was told the sale ended and they took off the sale sign. I shouldnt have to go through this much of a hassle. End of the day, I will go to a different location even if its out of the way. The odor, empty holes across multiple departments, incorrect prices displayed and hassle of asking for basic items when not displayed. This is a secret shoppers dream let me tell you. All good I just wont come back but wanted to provide feedback to better the experience of other shoppers.

We've never done it before and it was a BLAST! $1 each try so we each did $5. They had a cute area with a little town made of wood and skeletons doing funny things that you could take pics with like a saloon, jail, checkers, and mortuary. We also took a picture of the iconic pumpkin wall that is all over IG. Then we got in line for the donuts. So hot, fresh and cinnamony and cakey! The line moves fast. We also wondered into the grocery area. Really picture perfect fruits and vegetables like if Whole Foods had a farm, this is what it would look like. It's beautiful. This is literally the best farm I've ever been to. I would definitely come back to this one if I'm ever in the area in October again.

The pumpkin wall was cool to see, but what pleasantly surprised me was discovering that this is also a great farm with lots of fresh products. The checkout lines were long, although I imagine they're probably much shorter once the pumpkin wall attraction is no longer there. I'd probably come back again next year, but I would definitely avoid going during peak weekend hours.
