Julien's Auction is currently occupying the space her on 257 N Canon, as a pop up for online auctions of celebrities memorabilia. Items were still organized in the gallery space, main floor building owned by Standard Oil Company. Julien's Auction has held shop at other locations, and they are here on behalf of the late Burt Reynolds estate. There were lots items to look through and possible make a BID online from jewelry, clothings, art, decor and movie memorabilia. There were other interesting items from Rocker Slash or Guns and Roses, late actor Steve McQueen and Marlon Brando's Harley. Worth a pop in visit.

THE auction house of the stars. Entertainment history is here and you can own a piece or pieces of it. Julien's has had items and clothes from Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Sharon Tate and on and on. The people here are very friendly and helpful. Bid online or in person. You can visit as most of the items are on display and sometimes, a celebrity stops by. Have fun! George Vreeland Hill

I won a bid at Janet Jackson's bday auction on her bday. Monies will go to children's charity. Thrilled!

Winning a bid at Julien's Live this weekend. What a thrill! This was a historic auction from an icon on her bday and a portion of the money was going to a children's charity. It was phenomenal! The items I got to see and the stories they hold. Just wow! Great energy. People around you congratulate you, some got in friendly teasing war bids. I know I was playing around and telling people "no! don't bid. Don't bid!" all in good fun. When someone won a bid on an item that they really wanted. Everyone was happy for them. My entire experience with Julien's Live was fun, entertaining, suspenseful and just mind blowing. It's one thing to watch online but to be there live is a more intense ride. I came to Beverly Hills for Janet Jackson's bday auction and won on her bday. OMG! It doesn't matter what you got. If you were lucky enough to win a bid. It's historic! You now own a piece of music history. No matter what you paid. If you are a music fan and a fan of the Jackson family. Whatever item you got is just priceless. To walk thru and do a preview of all of her personal items that all hold stories was a once in a lifetime pop up museum exhibit. That's how I felt. To see her Earring with her key live then on top of delivered bday cupcakes by Sprinkles was such a nice gesture from them. We sang happy bday to her and she surprised us with a drop in video chat. Who else can say they did this on the weekend? Zack was an awesome auctioneer. It was like going to an auction in a museum and getting a comedy show at the same time. Of course headlines were made by a Kardashian who also won a bid. What I loved was Kim was just as excited as all of us. Just astonished we were one of the lucky ones to be able to own a personal item from an Icon. Ms. Jackson! My first time with Julien's live and it wasn't intimidating. It was quite fun really. What a great memory and an epic way to spend a weekend. Mel M Yelp 21:14

We checked out Tutufun in Century City and tried their cake candle making -- best decision ever! Matt guided us step by step, from building the base to decorating the "cake," and even helped with mixing and cooling the wax so everything was super easy and fun. Me and a friend came here to decorate phone holders and were genuinely excited about the…read moreexperience. The activity itself is cute and creative. However, the pricing structure is poorly communicated. The board clearly lists "Phone Holder - $20" under Decoden Art, with no size descriptions or visual distinctions. Based on that, we reasonably assumed the bunny phone stand we selected fell under that category -- because it is, in fact, a phone holder. Even the staff member assisting us was under the same impression. We spent several hours decorating our items based on the $20 price we were told. Only after we finished were we informed that our item was actually $45, and that the $20 "phone holder" supposedly refers to a much smaller grip-style piece. That distinction is not explained anywhere on the pricing board. There is also a "Phone Holder with Key Chain" listed, yet our item did not match that description either, which makes the pricing even more confusing. While the staff were understanding about the confusion, the manager refused to honor the price that was communicated to us and stated that our only options were to pay $45 or leave the item behind. There was no attempt to meet us halfway or acknowledge that the signage itself is unclear. If you're going to advertise pricing, it needs to be clearly defined. This situation could have been avoided entirely with proper labeling and better management handling.

Was there shopping for a birthday present for an artist friend and know absolute diddly squat about paint and that is when a hero with braids appeared to save the day. Walk in here and you can smell the ambition, acrylic, and caffeine. It's like stepping into a time capsule where brushes still matter, ink still stains, and creativity doesn't come with a subscription fee. The value here and the prices were super reasonable. I came here with my draftsman, a guy who still draws by hand -- a dying breed in a world that runs on Ctrl+Z. Watching him walk these aisles was like watching a monk in a cathedral. Every shelf, every pen, every tube of paint is curated chaos. And the best part? The staff actually care. They know the difference between gouache and watercolor -- and they don't judge you for mispronouncing it. Friendly service, clean restrooms (a small miracle in Los Angeles), and a selection so deep it could inspire Picasso's ghost to start over. From sketchbooks to sculpting tools, markers to mat cutters, they've got everything you need to make something real -- or at least look like you tried. Blick's been around since 1911, and this Beverly Blvd location has kept L.A.'s art scene supplied through every phase -- from punk flyers to NFT hangovers. It's an institution, and it deserves to stay that way. Blick Art Materials is a love letter to real art in a copy-paste world. The service is friendly, the aisles are inspiring, and the supplies are top-notch. If you make anything with your hands, your heart, or even just a stubborn sense of nostalgia -- support this place. Because when shops like this vanish, so does a little bit of the soul of Los Angeles. Support this place -- or someday the only "art supplies" left will be ring lights. Blick is where real artists shop while influencers pretend to paint.

We were led upstairs, and I was surprised by the rooftop pond, and how beautiful the koi fishes were! You can also see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was a very serene space. Filming is welcome (a plus for capturing memories!), and parking is free right out front. Just note: the lot is pretty small, so I recommend arriving early to snag a spot. Our instructor was super informative and made sure to spend time with everyone in the class, walking us through every step of the process. It was hands-on and beginner-friendly, which made it all the more enjoyable. The only downside is the wait bc our finished bowls took about 6-8 weeks to be ready after shaping them on the wheel. But honestly, it was worth it--they turned out beautifully :')
