I highly recommend acupuncture from Shamayne Tate, who I have also seen there for at least 10 years. I discovered there that I prefer cupping to massage for tight shoulders. Chiropractors have relieved me of sciatic pain and countless aches and pains. I have seen other chiropractors in KC and across the country. Dr. Robin is my favorite chiropractor. She is always learning and stays up to date on best practices. She uses several methods to adjust you and provide relief. She will not hurt you. She doesn't push x-rays or upsell supplements, although you can get both and neck supporting pillows there. She is well respected and known in the Kansas City business and medical community and active in trying to uplift others. Her staff are consistently professional and friendly. They suggest you relax your back on a rolling table while you wait, which feels great and probably helps get a better adjustment. Primary care physicians could learn a thing or two from Dr. Robin.

From falling down stairs, car accidents and work mishaps to migraines I've managed to run the gamut of pain induced misery. What I found when I was 21 or 22 was that a chiropractor can do what muscle relaxers and anti inflammatories cannot. They FIX it, no covering symptoms so conditions worsen. I pinched my sciatic nerve at 21 or 22 and went to the doctor barely able to walk. I didn't wanna breathe the pain was so awful. Pills were given to me to relieve my symptoms. They did nothing. Not one medication took the edge off the pain but when my boss called the chiropractor down the block my life changed. She explained that her tech could barely walk and asked if he would have any time to see a new patient. She was speaking to Dr. Reid Ketteler who was closing for lunch within just a few minutes. What the man did was phenomenal. He asked me to come in at 12, ON HIS LUNCH HOUR, so he could help me. He took x-rays and studied them with me, he measured my muscle function and showed me the reason behind the pain and then worked out a treatment plan with me. He made me part of my own care and solution and educated me and you know what? Funnily enough the pain went away. I was able to walk and run and even got back to my volleyball league. So my review goes like this: Dr. Ketteler is a rare gem! He is a kind, caring and compassionate professional that enjoys helping others. His office assistants are sweet, friendly and personable; the treatment offered is top notch. I cannot say enough about just how wonderful this practice is! If you're experiencing any kind of chronic pain Dr. Ketteler is my number 1 recommendation to correct the problem. Chiropractic care treats many things so whether it's pain or another condition that takes you to him, you won't be disappointed.

Not sure what the formula is but I think it's the long-time employees who make sure they're always surrounding themselves with the best talent. If you ask most people in Lawrence where the go-to place for a great massage is, they'll name Southwind. An hour or more spent here is the ultimate recipe for treating yourself well and for folks like me that pound keyboards for a living and like to get a lot of strenuous exercise, boy, they are the prescription for staying healthy. It's with my highest recommendation that I tell you this place absolutely rocks and has for years. Of all the places I've ever given 5 stars to, this would have to be about tops.

She honestly has changed my quality of life for the better in a big way! The building is also calming and cozy, and the idea of the collective is brilliant. Lawrence supports local business, and this collective is a great example of that. I was seeing "someone else" for a year, and an adjustment took literally less than 5 minutes and wasn't focused on areas I indicated hurt. It was like a "cookie cutter" adjustment - the same thing for everyone. Dr. Casey is the exact opposite, taking time to ensure all my areas of concern were properly adjusted. I now see her 3 times a week to keep my migraines at bay. She takes the time to ask me how I'm doing, checks various areas, then adjusts me accordingly. She takes the time to listen, even if what I have to say isn't "chiropractic related." The clinic where Dr. Casey works is quite decked out. It is called the "Healing Arts Center". The lobby is comforting and inviting, all the equipment is in excellent condition and it appears that proper hygiene/sterilization is practiced. All the doctors in the office are polite and smiley - and it's very refreshing to walk into a place when you feel like crud, and walk out with a bounce in your step! The reception people are very courteous and service oriented, and now when I walk in the door, I really don't even have to go to the counter...they check me in on sight. As for wait time - WHAT wait time? There hardly ever is any. It's quite rare if I have to wait more than a minute or two. Frequently, Dr. Casey is standing at the reception counter waiting for me! If she is ever behind on patients (which has happened only once), she put me on the roller table (ahhh, a nice massage!) while she finished up with her other patient. By the time the roller table shut off, she was ready for me. I really can't say enough about this clinic, Dr. Casey, and her colleagues.
