I'm a runner and have been experiencing pain in my left leg and glute since early April. It got to the point where it was too difficult to run. Brian and I spoke by phone before I made my first appointment. I wanted to make sure it was worth my while to drive out to Lawrence for care. What probably impressed me the most was his extensive work with athletes, including the KU basketball team. He helped me understand how my body alignment was causing sciatic issues. He also communicated a deep understanding of my bone and muscle structure. My treatment consisted of targeted massage, plus lots of stretching. After my first treatment, I made a business trip to Boston and went out for a walk each morning. I tried to run and found the pain had dramatically lessened. The second day, I ran longer than the first. On my next appointment, I told Brian he was a miracle worker. I couldn't believe how quickly his work would get me back to feeling normal. He shared a variety of warm-up exercises to ensure I'm ready to run without pain. I hope he can deliver equal results for you. His $125 fee, before tip, for a 75-minute session, was an incredible value, given the amazing care I received. If you're an athlete with any type of muscle pains, I strongly recommend Brian for your care.

They ran me thru a bunch of tests, nothing came back definitive, so they wanted to "try some things". That isn't for me. My husband recommended I try Dr. Boehr and see if it might help, since he has vitamins also and that maybe it was something else. I gave it a try and have been going ever since. He did get me on some vitamins, which is a lot better than meds with side effects. All of the major ailments I had are gone and now just a normal headache instead of day/week long migraines and mood swings that sent the dogs running are not longer an issue. He is a talker and high energy, but he knows his stuff and will take care of you. Some visits are quick, some are not. He remembers what I suffered thru and makes sure to ask each time I come in.

He burst into the room with such velocity that nearby papers briefly achieved flight, and then, with the precision of a vocal sniper, fired directly into my ear canals: 'HOW THE (profanity that rhymes with muck) ARE YA!' It was not a question. It was an opening salvo. A chiropractic invocation. From there, he launched into a 90-minute, full-volume monologue that dissolved the boundaries between medical advice, spiritual crisis, and a food-based doomsday sermon. Here's what I learned: * "Marathon runners die fastest." * Lecithin causes early death and is possibly linked to moral collapse. * "Corn is government poison." * Wheat, dairy, oats, potatoes, tomatoes, and all American meat, also poison. * Oil is only safe if you grow the plant, press it yourself, and make peace with your ancestors before using it * No meat unless you personally hunted it with remorse * Nightshades are treacherous. * Avocados and chia are holy. Somewhere between the rant about athletics and the whispered denunciation of oats, I lost track of time. He may have mentioned being a neurologist. He may have gestured toward a red light therapy wand. I don't remember blinking. I do remember thinking: "If I tell him the oatmeal cookie in my purse, I will not make it out of here alive." At one point, he asked if I was lactating. He asked with gravity, like it was the key to something I would never understand. I said no. He looked disappointed, but not surprised. He told me to bury a cabbage. Wait several months. Add breastmilk if available. And then--eat it. I asked if I should clean the jar before fermenting it underground. He didn't answer. I understood. I now fear: * Corn * Lecithin * My own fridge * Nightshades * Red light devices * The smell of buried vegetables I now believe: * Healing begins with suffering * Oats are emotionally weak * Breastmilk is the cure for pink eye, heartburn, and possibly modern despair * Press your own oil or perish * I may never be the same There was no blood pressure taken. No eye exam. No touching of any kind--just direct eye contact, rapid speech, and nutritional exorcism. I came in with a body. I left with a mission. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Five stars. Bring your own jar.
