My partner and I are extremely happy with the custom-made engagement rings made by Goldpoint. We…read moreworked with both of the owners and jewelers, Olivia and Sue, who were great. They were extremely friendly, detailed-oriented, and approachable. My partner wanted a ring with non-traditional stones: a salt-and-pepper diamond in the middle, and champagne diamonds on the side. Our design process was amazing. We were able to order our diamonds and see them in person early on (something that other jewelers in NYC didn't allow us to do!). We then went back and forth with Olivia and Sue regarding the design of the ring. Then, they commissioned a computer rendering of the ring for us, and they even made a wax cast that my partner tried on! Finally, we received the ring and my partner says it is perfect. I commissioned a rose gold hammered ring. The hammering on the ring is the best and most precise among all of the New York jewelers that we have visited. Goldpoint is my #1 recommendation for anyone who wants high quality, great-value custom-made rings. They are amazing at sourcing non-traditional diamonds and stones to really make your rings stand unique. Their designs and creative flair really shine through on all of their jewelry.

Avoid this place at all cost. Dishonest, overpriced, and will damage your items. I have had two…read moreexperiences here as my usual shop was closed by the time I got off work. Both times I have been overcharged as well as had my watch broken. The first time I had an item appraised, the lady here took a look at it for 5 minutes and charged me $35. I let it go because I figured I'm paying for expertise. However the second experience here was unforgivable. I brought my father's watch for a simple battery replacement. She charged me $35 for a battery replacement but ended up breaking the watch stem. Even had the audacity to tell me to bring it back for repairs because I wouldn't be able to set the time with the stem broken. No sh*t! And after I got home, the next morning the watch hands were skipping seconds indicating low battery-- she had replaced it a used battery. I ended up bringing my watch to my usual DRD Jewelry on 104th and Amsterdam close by instead. Here was I was charged $7 for a fresh battery and $25 for repairs. Do not give this place your business. It is a scam.
