Turns out I was misdiagnosed - I didn't have a neuroma which is what he gave me 9 injections for. The MRI that my next doctor ordered showed that there was no neuroma! So why the injections, which didn't work. When I received my 9th injection, knowing that 10 was the recommended limit, and still thinking that I had a neuroma, I asked, "is it time to consider surgery?" To which Dr. Dieboldt replied, "You need to think positively!! It leads to better outcomes." Really? If 9 injections didn't work, why would you be so naive to think that a 10th injection would do the trick? I quit his practice after that visit. He also had an insole/orthotic customized for me - but my current doctor told me that this insole is useless, and I've had to order a new insole that was molded to my foot. Fortunately I can think for myself and determine when I'm being given incorrect or patronizing advice. I wasted 9 months and $$ on this practice.

I needed my infected toe operated on ASAP. Just a slight touch to the toe caused excruciating pain. Dr. Joseph Proebstle was recommended to me by my parents. I was so terrified to get the surgery because I heard it was really painful and the recovery was hell. Dr. Proebstle did an amazing job calming me down. The nurses were so funny and caring. When I got the local anesthesia in my toe, the nurse held my hand and hugged me. The shots barely hurt because Dr. Proebstle used a numbing spray before the shot. The surgery took about 15 minutes after the anesthesia kicked in. I felt instant relief and minimal pain during the recovery.

I apologized for the oversight and respectfully asked whether I could return with the disc at a later time and still be seen by the doctor. The office manager interrupted her telephone conversation and responded in an unnecessarily rude and dismissive tone, stating, "You just have to make another appointment. He can't see you without the disc." She declined to allow me to see Dr. Cohen and further stated that I did not have the right to see the doctor without the required materials and that "he is very much aware of how this office works." ( She boasted about being the office manager for over 14 years) She then concluded the interaction by saying, "If there is nothing else, you can leave now." I understand that there may be office policies or medical requirements regarding the MRI disc. However, I believe patients should be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect, particularly when addressing an honest mistake. The manner in which this situation was handled was unnecessarily discourteous and left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. I am requesting that this matter be addressed with the appropriate office or company Foot and Ankle of MD leadership. While I understand and respect the need to follow medical protocols, I do not believe those policies justify speaking to a patient in a disrespectful or condescending manner. This is not an isolated situation so if you're wanting an office that is professional and courteous to you while you're going through your assessment and healing process, please choose another podiatrist.

Upon looking at my phone and realizing I had been waiting almost 30 minutes (1:58pm) I stated to the front desk "I've been waiting 30 minutes; how much longer?" One of the women behind the desk stated " he's busy and will be right with you". I stated " no he's not; he's standing in the hallway with his hands behind his back!" I asked again "how much longer?" Then the male from the desk responded "at least 20 more minutes." Then I explained "I can't wait for another 20 minutes!" Time is money and I am used to getting in and getting out. Dr. Beitler was about time management. Fortunately, I won't stick around to have this happen again. The owner may be NEW but he needs to know that customer service is EVERYTHING!!
