The amazing staff took great care of me. So polite, so professional. They took X-rays; found the fracture, and in a air boot I go. Dr. McKee took the time to show and explain the X-Ray to me and answer all of my questions. I was in and out fairly quickly, without feeling rushed. All my fears put to rest and a good feeling that, finally, my foot will be alright. Amy and Katie are off the hook in the front office, some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. I've had numerous other appointments for testing and pre and post-op. I think the confusion is with the multiple locations and rehab centers. So the overall rating here is not accurate in my opinion. My partner is now seeing a doctor here and is very satisfied. I go to the Belcher Pavilion and the Bowie location. The Bowie location can be VERY busy but it's smaller so it looks busier. The AAMC location is very busy but it's huge - segmented into different sections for backs, legs, knees, etc... I just had my second carpal tunnel surgery last week and here from Dr. G I am typing away. My major back surgery was a success from Dr. S and I'm so happy.

Luckily, I was able to get in for a same-day appointment.... glad to have found this practice! From Donna who checked me in, COVID19 precautions and all, to Ashley who did the intake assessment and took X-rays, to David who taped up my foot and reviewed the assigned physical therapy exercises, to Dr. McKee, I was treated with kindness and courtesy. It turned out I had been over-stretching, plus I needed better shoes. A painful cortisone shot in the heel produced dramatic results within 24 hours, and a course of prednisone helped tremendously. Dr. McKee was very thorough in his evaluation and gave me several options for treatment. I bought new shoes and followed the instructions, and by the time I came in for a follow-up visit, I didn't need another cortisone shot. Happy to be active again!
