    The surgery center at National Spine and Pain Management in Glen Burnie Maryland did 2 epidural…read moreshots in my upper back due to surgery and they were supposed to sedate me. The first appointment they said they did not have the anesthesiologist was not there and gave me an excuse. They offered Lidocaine to do it. I did this and it was VERY painful. I came in for my second set of shots 4 weeks later and AGAIN no anesthesiologist, more excuses and had no choice but to get lidocaine and get the shots and have extreme pain during and after the procedure. I needed to get relief for my pain and felt I had no choice. I set up the third appointment and no anesthesiologist with another excuse and I refused the third shot due to how painful the injections were. My surgeon ordered epidural shots in my neck due to extreme pain due to recovering from surgery. I set up the appointment for 8/6/24 and confirmed the injections with total sedation which my pain management doctor also ordered sedation in my chart, so it was in my chart twice. I arrived with my son (have to have a driver) and they said my appointment was cancelled and did not know why and apologized. They said sedation is only on Wednesday's and that the doctor was out the following week and scheduled me 2 weeks out on 8/28/24 and confirmed the injections ordered and complete sedation. They called me at midday to confirm my injections and full sedation which I confirmed by phone. On my way to the appointment the office called again and asked me to come earlier and again confirmed full sedation with my neck injections. I arrived and checked in and paid for the services. A man came to the lobby and said management did not tell him I was getting full sedation. 20 minutes later they brought me back and put in an IV and then offered light sedation stating the anesthesiologist was no longer at the office. I was not happy but agreed to do the light sedation even though I questioned the dangers of light sedation and not being fully under to not have a medical mistake made with my injections. The manager then came back and said the doctor would NOT do the procedure because I needed full sedation to do the procedure and wanted to re-schedule me for a third time. I do not trust this surgery center and they are grossly incompetent. I missed 3 hours of work for both appointments, costing me and my son's valuable time and money. I told the office to void the transactions (2) and they only voided 1. I called to get the second payment voided and got the run around so now I have to go through my credit card and challenge the charge causing more time and effort on my part. I also experienced being off my pain medications because they had no appointments over the summer two times because providers were on vacation and no appointments were available. They said they would call them in without a visit and then refused to call them in and was off medications for 5 days one time and 7 days the second time. When pharmacies ran out of my prescribed pain medicine it took them 3 days to call in an alternate pain medication. I received good treatment 70% of the time with my pain management doctor and tried to overlook things and be patient. It is alarming to me the complete disregard for my health and healing from surgery to get necessary treatments and having to stop pain medications from a serious neck surgery and could not work or function during these gaps in service for my medication. The surgery center is "dangerous" to patient care, and I will be filing a medical complaint for the surgery center doctors for my procedures and lack of procedures due to complete incompetence. It is absolutely baffling to me. 9/6/24: The email does not work as listed to discuss the situation in writing. I won't do a phone call as I want everything documented in writing.

    Kure is a dumpster fire. They changed their HIPPA form in Aug 2018, shortly after purchasing Smart…read morePain Management. With the change in the form, Kure can sell your medical record for the purpose of "research"- it doesn't even specify medical research, just "research!" And they keep your name and social security number on your file when they sell it! Basically, Kure can sell your electronic medical record to ANYONE under the guise of "research" and if you sign their HIPPA agreement, there is nothing you can do about it! Kure is WAY too profit-oriented! My doctor is now only supposed to spend no more than 5 minutes with me and 5 minutes filling out the electronic medical record. It's insane! This is the rapid road to becoming a Pill Mill! I now get texts, emails and phone calls reminding me about the co-payment. I do not like Kure at all, but my doctor is good. I just have to decide if putting up with Kure is worth going to the doctor in what amounts to a dumpster fire. Here is a tip: refuse to sign Kure's HIPPA form. Request a form without that provision in it instead.

Heres their scam : Every visit they will up your mg,s of trash medicines even if they don't work and have bad side effects. I wont name doctors names because i saw a few and their all in on it. This review will cost them far more then what they scammed out of me and my insurance company. Believe it ! Lastly , this bad medicine , pill factory is part of the OD crisis and the abuse climate. People are dying because they are taking to much of the bad weak trash pills trying to kill the pain . Meanwhile , good pain medicine is going to god knows who . I never got any and you wont either if you go here. What will happen is , you will get taken advantage of , lied to , and financially bullied. Just be careful not to not receive liver/kidney damage from the cocktail of class T ( trash) pills they will prescribe , while they avoid the class A medicine thats proven to work

I arrived at 11:10 a.m., which is within the standard 15-minute grace period most clinics and health facilities follow, and more than enough time to complete paperwork -- especially since no one sent forms ahead of time. The moment I walked in, the front-desk person looked at me and said, "Unfortunately, you have to reschedule." No check-in. No explanation. Nothing. I was later told I was expected to arrive 45 minutes early, even though this was never communicated through phone, text, email, or instructions. No one called to clarify. No one advised me. I did everything correctly based on the information they gave me. Because of their internal communication failure: I was denied physical therapy, My pain remains untreated, I lost time, money, and energy dealing with this place, I now have to find a new provider while dealing with neck and arm pain from a recent accident This experience was careless and dismissive. When a practice claims to provide responsive, patient-centered care, denying treatment to someone who arrives five minutes early for a confirmed appointment is unacceptable. I hope they reconsider their scheduling and communication practices so other patients aren't harmed the way I was. My advice -- find some place else. They can't help you.

I had a bad experience today, and remembered other bad experiences. I decided to write reviews, and I find that many other reviewers had the same things to say. First, I want to say that the doctors are very good. They have a real talent for injections, getting the medication exactly where it needs to go. I love "Dr. Edzi" for his empathy and rapport with patients and ability to ease pain. It makes me sad that I probably won't see the doctors again. DOCTORS: 5 STARS Second, the PAs are fine. I found them professional and helpful in writing prescriptions, orders for imaging, and describing options for treatment. PAs: 4 STARS Third, the staff that sit at the front desk and deal with patients face-to-face are awful. Just. Awful. I am not resting blame on those employees. The problem must start at the management level, and a check of Glass Door says that's so. The receptionist today was like a robot programmed to say certain lines and nothing else. No listening, not even trying to understand my situation. No effort to find a solution. I have executive coaching experience, and that behavior sure looked like malicious compliance. They have people in the office to do just that. I took time out of my day just for this appointment And They FORGET to get insurance authorization. Come on now. Give me a break. Is this office seriously THAT incompetent. ? You already have quit a few very bad reviews and you obviously dont seem to care . If I was the office manager I would have said " yes we screwed up but we're going to do the shot anyway and if the insurance doesnt cover it well Pay for it due to the inconvenience we caused you. I realize this will get brushed under the table and you obviously dont care about bad reviews but those people that come into your office pretty much sign your paycheck . However, the GB facility is not being maintained. The waiting room is disgusting. There are HUGE black stains on the carpets and chairs. Did someone spill entire carafes of coffee? Is it vomit? Or something even more disgusting? Please clean (or replace) your carpet and chairs. The walls are getting pretty banged up too. A fresh coat of paint would not hurt either.
