Always looking for a good seafood boil but loving into the middle of the country that's not easy. Is it as good as something along the coast? Nope, and it shouldn't be, but is it good for the middle of the country? Yes. We got there before the crowd and was seated immediately. Wait took our drink order and we ordered gator bites for an appetizer. My son and I got the juicy feast boil, oldest son got Gator tacos, and his girlfriend got snow crab boil. My wife got the crab cake poboy. Gator bites were small and mostly batter but the juicy sauce was really good. Poboy was good but the crab cakes were easier to eat outside the bun. she got the fried pickles with it and they were ok. Nothing spectacular but it's also a side so no deal breaker. Wife said she enjoyed them. Snow crab boil was good and we had to teach my son's girlfriend how to eat crab legs. Once she got the hang of it she enjoyed them. The gator tacos were disappointing with being mostly lettuce and very little gator meat. Fries were bland too. The Juicy feast boil we got mild with woo pig sooie seasoning. Wish we would have gone at least medium bc there was no heat at all. Seasoning was decent. This place has the worse manager ever. The seafood boil they tried to serve was old food. The lobster tail upon opening the shell fell out and was the worse mush ever. I still cannot believe she thought we would pay for that. I did not eat the bad food and I was not going to pay for it. The first table we were seated at was filthy underneath and we had to ask to be reseated or for someone to come sweep. After we advised the manager to take the food back, she tried to make us pay and threatened to call the police. This behavior from a restaurant was beyond belief. We encouraged her to call the police. The outcome was in our favor. The witnesses there advised the police we done nothing wrong. Stopped here on a Sunday evening after visiting family. They were very busy and had people waiting to be seated. We ordered to go and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. I had the Crab Meat PoBoy with cajun fries. The PoBoy was good and kind of wished a little more crab meat. At some spots it seemed to be all bread. The fries were soggy and not very cajun-y. My wife had the Shrimp Fried Rice and she said it was good. My son had a pound of snow crab legs because they were out of shrimp. Good thing he likes crab legs. He also added 2 cobs of corn. He chose the cajun seasoning with a mild heat. He said it was seasoned well and the corn was especially good. Overall good. Will probably go back again but there's a ton of other restaurants I'll try and before I go back and try to get something else. COVID UPDATE: The Governor has opened up so social distancing is a thing of the past for now. All tables were full and close together. Masks are required except when eating of course. Arrived Tuesday at 6pm found it closed. This was after showing up at the Fayetteville location and finding it closed on Tuesday. Man I wish we had a location in Tulsa, Ok! When visiting my grandparents over the weekend my husband, aunt and I came to this location and will absolutely be coming back. We ordered the fried gator bites for our appetizer and they were out of this world. Seasoned just right! Full of flavor. Then I ordered the alligator POBOY for my entrée and being a huge fan of Cajun cuisine, this was by far one of the best POBOYS I've had in quite awhile. Service was great and efficient. We went for boiled crawfish and let me say, it's not cooked like Louisiana does it. They put what it seems, a pound of butter on 3lbs of crawfish, juice everywhere (must be where the name Juicy Tails comes from)- they can do away with the flavoring sauce because it's so messy and it comes in a huge bag that you need to pour in a tray trying to not get the butter, juice and crawfish everywhere. The waiter/waitress should ask "do you want butter?" Guarantee, they would definitely save money on butter because no one wants that much butter on their crawfish. So very disappointed with our date night. Ordered the combo meal of lobster, shrimp, mussels, and sausage. We also had house salads and fries. I explained I have a life-threatening mammal allergy and could they separate the sausage and mussels (I don't like them) on another plate. They brought the food out (minus the fries, they forgot them), everything looked great! Tasted awesome! I ate one lobster tail, corn, and several shrimp. When I went to grab another shrimp there were several pieces of sausage under it. I immediately stopped eating and let the server know. She took the plate, apologized profusely, saying she told them no sausage on the plate and the manager supposedly checked as well. Well, she bagged a to-go box, apologized again, and gave us a bill. No manager, no nothing. I asked her if they are going to pay my ER bill! I have home meds, which I took when I got home. I am so disappointed that the manager didn't even come over to see if I was ok, or offer to at least take off some of the bills for their mistake. No worries, we will NEVER go back. oh, and if you have Alpha-gal, they care so little it's not worth eating there. Will I spread that word, you bet I will! I will be calling the owners tomorrow. 3/20/21 spoke with the daytime manager and was given a refund for the meal. She offered to submit any medical bills. I did have a reaction but was able to take home prescribed medications to avoid the ER. We will still not go there again, but that helps. I recommend not going at all! Worst service of my life. My husband was served beer in a dirty glass with lipstick. No one seems to know or care who the owner is. Overall we were there for 3.5 hours and not by choice. Menu is confusing and they no longer carry some items including the house dressing. Food came , gator bites and shrimp cocktail, gator bites were tiny crumbles?, shrimp cocktail was freshish but the shrimp were not deveined, my husband had crawfish and I had the big shrimp none were deveined. In fact everyone in our party had the same problem with every single piece. I asked over a dozen times to speak with the owner or just give me his name please so I could call him tomorrow. Finally a manager came out. He was incredibly unhelpful and didn't know who his boss was. He finally sends out another guy who is not a manager nor the owner who called me a liar. I still have no idea who the owner is or the boss? Oh and the best part. The bar does not use the new dishwasher at all or the 3 sink area correctly to wash, sanitize and rinse glasses. They were simply dipping the glasses one time!!!! I informed them that is why there was lipstick on my husband glass and a huge health violation. Your choice of protein comes served in large clear plastic bags nearly submerged in your choice of Cajun, garlic, or lemon pepper sauce. No plates involved. Just butcher paper on the table and a token fork. The lack of a place setting sophistication is made up in the food. Purists may find issue but it is a solid option for the area. Do not come here if you are not prepared to get messy. Bibs are provided as are rolls of paper towels. They even have a three sink washing station for post-consumption cleanup. Stopped in for lunch. First off to complain - the shrimp P.O.-Boy was too overstuffed with shrimp. If that's my complaint you know it's good. Nice atmosphere with rustic wood setting and full service sit down service including a small bar area. P.O.-Boy is always a test for anyplace saying they are Cajun influenced. This one is good. Lots of medium sized shrimp not overbreaded and cooked perfectly. Soft fresh bun with good mix of fresh lettuce, tomato and a good topping of a semi spicy mayo. Really was overflowing with shrimp but I fought through it and had a great sandwich. I went with the fried okra as a side (again a good test for authenticity). So good. Fresh with a thicker corn meal crust that sealed in juicy okra that still had a fresh crunch. Service was attentive and my tea never got empty. Was asked several times how it was. Show how cool I am - I was offered a free desert to write a review which ethically I turned down (Honestly I was stuffed after devouring a sandwich and side of okra that would easily fill two normal humans).
