Very cute shop that had a wide selection of smoothies that were made fresh to order. I was there for the bubble tea. I got a 16 oz taro (the purple one treat tastes like milk after eating a bowl of Lucky Charms, in my opinion) with bubbles (tapioca). The drink was served up very quickly and the price was reasonable considering it was in New York City. The only criticism I had, which is kind of a sad one to make, is that the amount of bubbles was maybe a bit too much. My name is Jennifer and I just spent $9 for a green veggie juice. I was craving a fresh and healthy green juice. I have walked by this place a few times (I work down the street) and today, I decided to try it. This place has a modern/fun decor, really nice employees, and was fairly crowded for a 3pm juice run- All key components I look for in my juicing experience. The menu is pretty standard (bubble teas, juices, healthy themed snacks, etc). In case you were interested, I went with the Whole Green Juice (cucumber, kale, spinach, apple, romaine, lemon, parsley and celery). It was good, and cold, which is important to me. Some other juice places serve the juice at room temperature. Cold juice really enhances the drinking experience. And, and, the container the juice was served in was very cool. It is sealed with a plastic cover that you can poke a straw through. The cover also includes the warning, "avoid choking while drinking". That is something I can get behind. read more

I'm more a juice person, so I've yet to try their bubble-tea, however the Whole Green Juice (Cucumber, Kale, Spinach, Apple, Romaine, Lemon, Parsley, and Celery) was excellent. Very fresh and clean tasting. I don't like "sweet" juices, so this was perfect for me. I really liked that they had a green juice that wasn't overloaded with fruit. This actually tasted like kale and parsley. I'll have to try a few more of their juices to see how consistently they're made. The juice is a bit pricey, but no more than a bottle of BluePrint. The staff was very nice, and when the woman next to me said she ordered a larger beverage, not the 16oz she was given, it was remade immediately. read more

Yes this is one of those places that charges you ridiculous prices for liquid vegetables. While I usually do my own juicing or smoothie making ( much more cost efficant) juicy cube is a cute spot to get a smoothie or juice if you're running short on time. This place gets pretty crowded during the lunch rush which is always a good sign but the workers do move kinda slow. They aren't the quickest but all the juices if tried are pretty standard. I usually love any green juice. They always fill me up and make me feel good if I feel like I haven't been eating the best lately. The kale delight is good not great, it tastes like tangy grass with a hint of pineapple. They sell juices, bubble teas and smoothies and also have a variety of pre-packaged gluten free cookies at the front counter which is a nice change of pace. One thing I love is that they sell green coconut! A whole fridge filled with them ready to go for $5 each. Pricey but yum! I didn't actually go into Juicy Cube, we had them deliver and it was REALLY GOOD!! A bit pricey, but i think its pretty worth it for the quality Delivery minimum is $15 and while they close at 9PM, they clean their juicer at 8:30PM, so they prefer orders for Juice drinks before then ... Taro Bubble Milk Tea - Bubbles were amazing! Perfect amount of chewy and taro flavor was good too. Was a little too sweet for me, I think next time I would ask for like 70% sweetness. Regular Milk Tea - was really really bland, like almost no flavor at all. Since the Taro milk tea we ordered was a little sweet, we mixed the two and it was okay, bit would definitely NOT order this again! Juice with Kale, Spinach, Apple and Ginger - was SOOOO GOOD! Very refreshing and healthy! I got a large, and since my husband and I ordered 3 large drinks (since delivery minimum was $15), we saved this and I finished it this morning! I was looking for a bubble tea place close to work and yelp brought me to the juicy cube! The menu is extensive from bubble tea to juices to smoothies. The frig was stocked with healthy pre-packaged food (for the midtown lunch crowds) and whole coconuts. The store smelled of grass and fruit which instantly made me feel healthier. Alfter seeing all that was offered I wasn't sure if I still wanted bubble tea! Nevertheless that was what I came here for so I got a taro bubble tea (my usual). I enjoyed it although it was kind of warm with no ice. The tapioca was on point, right amount of chewy and sweet. Service was quick. If I had opened a juice/smoothie place, it would be like Juicy Cube. THANK YOU GUYS! I can't give any rating on the bubble tea as I've yet to order that, but they do have pretty decent boba. A whole bunch of fruit choices and add ins (more than Juice Generation, and they actually use fresh ginger and pineapple in their juices, unlike a lot of juice places I've come across). Yes, mango and papaya and fresh coconut as well. What I love though, is that they are very willing to use both juicer and blender on the same drink. A lot of places will list all their fruits and veggies, but limit what they will put in each. So it's not a problem that I want a mostly juice drink and want papaya - they'll throw it in the blender. And they don't act like they're doing me a favor. And that makes me happy. Decent prices and quick. Makes much more sense to have the cups with the plastic wrap as the lid. read more

But we're not there! We're in soulless Midtown, and this bubble tea fills a niche. I've had the taro root bubble tea (good, a bit weak) and reports are in from coworkers that the mango tea is also good. The green tea with lemon is very lemon heavy and smells a little like fake lemon cleaner. I'd stick to the fruits and milk-based bubble teas. I was pleasantly surprised by Juicy Cube since I'm loyal to Juice Generation. I had a 24oz fresh carrot juice and my niece ordered a 16oz Hawaiian Breeze smoothie. Our total was $15 which was on par with other juice spots. It was pretty packed midday, but the line moved quick and we waited less than 5 minutes for our order to be ready. All the beverages are packaged like bubble tea with the plastic seal.. it really helps prevent spilling for us clumsy folks. Since you can't really mess up carrot juice, my order was fresh and fulfilling. On the other hand, my niece finished her smoothie before we even reached the next block! It definitely hit the spot for both of us. I will definitely be returning to try out some of their other items. read more

DISCLAIMER: the food is really good. The reason I'm leaving just three stars is lack of transparency about allergens. I used to have a life-threatening peanut allergy, as many people do, and had I not outgrown the allergy, their smoothie bowls might have killed me. They put oatmeal on their smoothie bowls, but don't specify on the menu that they actually put peanut butter in the oatmeal. If you have a severe allergy, you know to ask the server or cashier about possible allergens in the food before ordering. I didn't do this, since I don't have a food allergy anymore, but after tasting peanut butter in the oatmeal, I told the cashier exactly what I'm writing in this review: indicate on the menu that your oatmeal has peanut butter! He denied that it had peanut butter even though I knew it did from the taste. After a few minutes of my trying to convince him he asked his coworker if the oatmeal had peanut butter--it did! Don't come here if you have severe food allergies. For all people without allergies, this place is great! Seriously, Juicy Cube, you need to be more helpful to people with allergies. The onus often is on the consumer where it really doesn't need to be--just list common allergens that are in your food on the menu! read more

I really like their chocolate chia seed pudding and I'm admittedly biased in favor of Asian-owned/run businesses, but I'm really turned off by the exorbitantly high prices that this place charges (even knowing that real estate is expensive in this part of town). I just had a Thai iced tea today, which was overly sweet (I thought that Bubble tea places either moderated their sugar level, or at least asked for your preferences) and not worth the $5 I paid. I had actually meant to order a healthier juice, but didn't want to spend $10 for a drink that I could get at a jamba juice for closer to $6-7. Again, I'm basically OK on their general service and product-- but don't think it's worth the high cost. And the 100% markup of the young coconut from the ones you get in Chinatown (whose prices have already inflated a ton in recent years) seems really excessive and I know that young coconuts don't have a huge quality difference and they don't actually cost that much... I feel like I should give this place $$$$. read more

I try to treat myself to Juicy Cube a few times a month. Bubble teas are pretty good, I usually go for the almond or taro flavors. The Greenlicious is my favorite smoothie and I find myself craving the unique flavors. Everything is very fresh and the staff are very nice. The only con is the price. Bubble tea is $3-5 and the smoothies are $6-$8, but it is in line with the quality ingredients. I tried out their coconut bubble milk tea today, while I am a Bubble Tea snob and have had it pretty much everywhere the girl in front of me never did so they showed her how to properly drink it. The Coconut one I got was quite tasty, it was very coconutty? I looked at the foods but I wished they had more non vegan foods. I was in there yesterday (Friday) and asked for cherry avocado drink. employee hands me a brown drink that tastes like grass. I told them it did not taste like cherries, and they remade it into fig drink. Then he said oh yea I never made you cherry avocado drink. I made you green drink. I got a smoothie. An employee put it on the counter. I took a straw and carefully tried to puncture the lid twice. It didn't work. I lightly (I am 105lb) hit the lid with a straw. The whole cup burst in 4 pieces and all the contents got on the counter. In about 1 minute the staff cleaned everything and gave me a new smoothie. It tasted ok, but I appreciated the service. The glass is very fragile and if I tried to have my smoothie outside of the shop, I would have lost it. Be careful with yours. read more
