It is an open concept cafe like burger chain with modern interior design. Decided to order El Fish burger - $10 (price subject to change) which consist of battered fish, cos lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, pickles and lemon herb aioli. I decided to opt out the vegetables as the burger might be bloated and the main taste might not be there. With an additional $5, you could choose a drink and a side dish: chips, sweet potato chips or coleslaw. I am a fan of sweet potato chips and hence I ordered that with Kirk's creamy soda. Next time round I'll probably give the cheesy bacon chips and one of the shakes. Servers are friendly and food arrived within 5 minutes. The burger's buns are crispy and well-cooked. The ingredients are also well-cooked and flavorful. The sauce... Just beyond words. It just makes you wanting to eat more of those. I am glad I opted out the vegetables as it might be of a little different taste. The sweet potato chips are crispy and came in a good portion as well. Not only it is of a good price, I enjoyed every bite of my meal. I love the consistent crispiness of the ingredients as well as the lingering taste of the sauces that accompanied it. Too late for lunch and too early for dinner, but they were cool and take my order. As mine was the first order for the evening the wait time was nothing. The burger was mighty fine. Soft bun with enough saltiness from the pickle and cheese to compliment a very greazy double patty. The onion rings added a nice crunch. Reminds me of the classic American burger. This week was the Truffe Burger, and I naturally had to order a double. This burger is supposedly the favourite one among the staff, so I had expectations but I tempered them too. The dirty fries were also on showcase, so had to order those as well. The dirty fries were decent, but whoever made them didn't salt them properly as the salt was distributed unevenly....mega salty in the middle and barely salted on the edges. Not sure I'd order these again unless they fixed that up. The Truffe was pretty good...I wasn't expecting it to be, but I had no qualms with this burger, especially at $13 for a double. The truffle oil with the mayo and cheese went well with the grass fed Tasmanian beef patty. Did I enjoy this burger more than the Bronx at Five Points? Yes I did...I'm definitely keen to try the Cheese Boogie and Fat Boy now. My only gripe (besides the fries) is that this place isn't the most accessible if you live by the CBD, but if you live by inner west you should by all means go.
