Healthy burgers - well I've heard it all now! Although they might not be as healthy as a kale salad with chia pudding these burgers win hands down on taste. The range of burgers fits any craving from beef and pineapple to chicken and avocado. The burger come chip free and a quite large but do order a snack size chips if you are going all in. There are salads and low carb buns available for those that are trying to stick to their diets. The restaurant is strangely shaped but has some booth seats, high tables, low tables and outdoor tables of varying sizes to suit any group. The nature of a busy burger joint means you might sit down to a slightly crumb covered table but mostly a clean and hygienic feeling restaurant. We were in the mood for a burger and this place had a wide variety of burgers, made of many different choices, including plant-based. You can get your burger on a regular bun, a panini bun, gluten free, or low carb. The last two have a slight upcharge. I appreciated having a low carb option, even though it was a little crumbly, which made it hard to eat without a fork and knife! I'd never heard of beetroot on a burger, but I got the Almighty Burger that had slices of pickled beet on it. While I'm ok with pickled beets, I wasn't a big fan of it on the burger. I took those slices off and ate them with a couple of the lettuce leaves that were on the burger, too. The onion rings were delicious with the herb mayo we ordered with it. The ambiance is laid back. Don't eat here if you have food intolerances. We ordered for without onion shit to fructose intolerance. The good was served with onion regardless. Grill'd reminds me so much of my time in Melbourne, the vibe inside is definitely a little hipster. They were one of the first posh/alternative fast food places to fill that gap at the time with only real competition of Nandos. As a student, it was a real treat compared to Maccas or Hungry Jacks and still is today. GRASS FED LEAN BEEF WITH CHEESE, MUSTARD & PICKLE Crisp bread that melts in your mouth, juicy but lean patty and sourness of the pickle go well together. The cheese melted on the patty does add flavour and texture. Great slider. GRASS FED LEAN BEEF WITH POMEGRANATE & MILD WASABI SLAW Slaw was fresh and crisp and a sauce pleasant with a light wasabi kick well balanced with the pomegranate flavour which didn't overpower the essence of the burger. I really like the combo. GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST WITH POMEGRANATE & MILD WASABI SLAW I would not say that chicken is one of Grill'd's fortes. The chicken one was my least favourite on my first visit and did not order again as you can see in the photo, breast tends to dry out when grilled specially off the bone. Just as tasty as the beef version but beef is still much better. CHIPS These fat chips are among the best from a food franchise. Always crispy on the edges with smooth potato centres. Combined with their herb and Mayo sauce, these are so yummy. This is the regular size, more than enough for two to share! order the snack size if you're not that hungry specially if you're having a burger too. Conclusion The sliders are a welcome addition to an aging menu. Although I would still come to grill just because of the nostalgia, confidence of quality every time and the bonus of it being healthier than the norm. Grill'd is one of the most consistent franchises in terms of execution of the menu and service across NSW and VIC. All the branches that I have been to have varying levels of quality but all still above a very good benchmark. I honestly can't fault this juicilicious bacon and cheese beef burger ($11.50). You know it's good when you take three Gi-Nor-Mous bites straight off the bat! There is a lovely herby-ness to both the burger patty and the mayonnaise. Top it off with fresh and ripe tomato (many places put green toms) and coral lettuce with a thoroughly-covered-in-sesame-seeds bun .... and u have close to the perfect burger! I wanted something that was at least semi Australian and saw they offered lamb burgers. They also serve sweet potato chips (fries) which I love in the United States so I wanted to see how sweet potato chips tasted in Australia. I ordered the Moroccan lamb burger with a side of sweet potato chips. The lamb burger was really good and the roasted peppers added a very nice flavor. The sweet potato chips were hot and crispy. I went back another night and got the porkaroo burger which is a mixture of kangaroo and pork. I wasn't a big fan of this burger. The meat had too much of gamey flavor for me but the sweet potato chips were good again. Both times the service was friendly and the wait times were reasonable. read more

Grilled is seriously SO GOOD. During our time in Australia we are at grilled multiple times. The chicken ceasar salad was the best thing ever. Firstly, the tastes of the burgers are quite good. I ordered Nourish and Flourish, and my bf ordered Bird and Brie, we both thought that they are good.But unfortunately, the sweet potato chips were not that good. I think this is because we are from China and Taiwan, and the normal ways we cook sweet potato are way much different than that, which result in different tastes. Maybe for local people, the sweet potato chips worth trying. One point that I give 3 stars instead of 4 is that the table cleaning is not good. Was visiting Sydney and my cousins recommended this place before a movie. The concept is really cool. I like how they donate to a charity and you get to choose which one you like best. I had the lamb burger with "tasty" (this is a brand of cheese) and avocado. I also had a snack size order of chips with chipotle mayo sauce. I think I paid $17. Burgers seem to be the latest fad in food. Everybody is going nuts over the hip and trendy little boutique burger joints opening up on just about every street corner. Call me old fashioned, but a burger for me is going to the local fish and chip shop and seeing a large sweaty ethic man slap together meat on a greasy grill and serve it to you messily in a bun. I'd rather have a burger than go hungry. The experience I had at Grill'd changed my perception about these 'burger saloons' I keep seeing. Well, at least about the Grill'd ones anyway. To start with, Grill'd have a delicious selection of Burger fillings, including four vegetarian options. They serve beer, the perfect partner for a burger. They serve craft beer, the perfect for a gourmet burger. And then I come to the chips, thick cut battered fires, seasoned in something so delicious, I don't even want to know what it is. With every order you are given a token that upon leaving you can put in a jar and vote for which charity Grill'd will donate the most money to at the end of the month. A great way to add a feeling of extra value to a meal. Beer, Burger, Chips! Put all these elements together and you get one hell awesome dining experience! Went here for a quick bite to eat this evening with some mates. Not bad at all! I grabbed a pickle and mustard burger with chips. The pattie was freshly cooked and the gherkins and mustard (sadly?) reminded me of the pickles and mustard from a Maccas burger. Good thing I like that. The chips were freshly cooked. I would have preferred them a tiny bit crunchier, but the seasoning, as well as the herb mayo was quite fantastic. Overall quite a good meal. The food was standard Grill'd fare: delicious hot food with a healthy edge. It was quiet when we arrived, with very few other patrons in the store. When ordering the cashier made a series of mistakes, resulting in not only confusion but also in the order being incorrect. This was fine by us, we were in no rush and tried to get the order corrected, that's when the attitude kicked in from our server. She seemed simultaneously angry and dismissive about our requests, and upon returning with the correct gave the same apalling attitude. What a disappointment.
