I spoke with the counter staff about juice cleanse, ingredients, products I absolutely left satisfied and ready to effectively plan for the future. Very very knowledgeable and not like fake sweet just like real genuine non snobby juice lovers connecting. I like the aesthetic in the store very on brand. This Juice Press is located right by the entrance of the Equinox that is within the Brookfield place mall. An interesting location, but once you find the gym, you'll find the small Juice Press stall. My friends were in the mood for smoothies, and they were determined to get some! There was one person serving, so service was slow. Unfortunately both of my friends ordered smoothies that just did not taste good. I tasted to verify. There was one that had flavors of cocoa and coffee. You'd think this is where you order from, you stand waiting your turn for 10 mins and nobody says anything to you... when it's your turn they tell you that you need to order from another counter in the back - what kind of sense does this make and since I've been waiting and this whole process is far from logical, how bout you start making my juice while I order and pay for it at the other counter? No, that would make too much sense. Instead I need to order at this other further counter and then wait in line again for god knows how long as you make it. Customer service in this place is horrible. I got some sushi from Bondi, the sushi place that shares the space... am sitting there and they bring me what I thought was my food, nope, turns out it was someone else's and because I took it out of the bag they had to make it again for the poor guy. What is really lame is their incredibly wasteful use of packaging. I told them it was to eat in (they didn't check my COVID vaccine card btw) and they brought me a bag, double the chopsticks, each roll in its own box, double the single use plastic containers of ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. So after doing some research, I found out that they have two locations in NJ, in Paramus and Summit which are both located in Equinox fitness clubs. This doesn't help me at all. I just love their juices, and will double park in a heartbeat if I am passing by one of their locations. I recently discovered their green charcoal drink which consists of cucumbers, celery, lemon, kale, and activated charcoal. I instantly loved the taste, so I thought this was a universal win until I had someone else try it who rejected it after a few sips. Taste buds are so unique, aren't they. I had a green bowl here around noon on a weekday, and it wasn't busy so I barely had to wait for it. There is plenty of seating and there's even a shelf of books about clean eating and nutrition. I have tried their oatmeal, mango chia, falafel, and kale salad, and they are all acceptably tasty. Their kale chips are a great value at $5 (relatively speaking). Of their cold-pressed juices, my favorites are the carrot & co, green giant, and ginger fireball. I do not frequent Juice Press more than once every couple of weeks. Perhaps I should in the new year? But then I would be depriving myself of cheap Mexican, rich Italian and spicy Indian fare--too high a price to pay. read more

I would love to give Juice Press 5 stars because their cold-pressed juices, made with all organic ingredients, are by far among the most fresh and delicious I've ever tasted. I discovered them recently on a two-day trip to Lower Manhattan, where this particular location was celebrating their second day open. The place is immaculate inside. The front of the restaurant houses a giant refrigerator full of freshly-made juices, with a selection unparalleled to any other juice joint I've been to. The back has seating, with an open kitchen where you can order smoothies and salads. The rooms are connected by a hallway that houses all the registers. Upon entry I was greeted by a friendly woman interested to know what I liked in terms of juice and ingredients, ready to point me in the right direction. I told her I like my juices green and not too sweet, and that I drink a lot of kale and wanted something different. She then recommended a juice blend dominated by fennel and arugula -- two greens that I typically go out of my way to avoid eating. But let me tell you, this juice (the "Be Fit," to be exact) was delicious. If you've never experienced drinking your veggies, this would be an excellent entry into the game for you. The only reason I can't give the fifth star as much as I'd like to, is that this one 17-ounce bottle of juice cost $12 with tax. I realize that fresh, organic produce is expensive, as is New York City real estate. And frankly, if I was drinking this as a meal replacement, it might not seem that bad. But I was indeed starving just a little while later and still ended up having a late breakfast. The point being -- the whole healthy-living, juicing thing is pretty expensive. I was not told of one either of the two days I came in for a juice, but hopefully they have an affinity program of some kind. I would think that customers willing to pony up this kind of money would be rewarded for their loyalty. Done with this place. I'm still new to juicing but have been to a few different places and find the taste of their juice decidedly less tasty. Where other juiceries leave me feeling energized, Juice Press makes me feel like I'm drinking medicine, and charges me more for the privilege. I also find their preachy messages really off putting. There's nothing wrong with believing in your product, but the walls, and every bottle, seems to come with some kind of thesis about the aggressive superiority of the juicing lifestyle. I feel like a jerk just for drinking it. I tried a Rehab shot (ginger and cayenne among other things) and a a green juice, possibly Mother Earth. I honestly couldn't finish either one. I genuinely don't understand who is doing this rehab shot as a shot without lighting their stomach lining on fire. As I said about the other location, this is the only place people have advised me to dilute the shot and it's just still a lot. Maybe it's something I need to work up but I'm just not feeling it. And as for green juice, despite the fun I make it it I really do LIKE it when it's good, but found myself scrunching up my nose here. read more

I asked to speak with the manager because he cashed dismissed the issue. Well the manager did also, he was like oh yeah honey I mean is it really not vegan. The service in this location had been going down hill. The staff is loud and too chatty to the point it's hard to enjoy a meal their. Came here on our way to Whole Foods and we were starving. Not a good thing to do when entering a grocery store. So we decided to check out Juice Press just across the street. They are great! Tons of juice sample to try as it can be a bit overwhelming to choose a juice you know you will like. The also had samples of chia seed pudding and oatmeal. Yes!!! We ended up getting the matcha latte. It definitely hit the spot. It has a hint of mint that made it all the more refreshing for the hot summer day. Whenever I go to the Financial District, I will stop by this place to get some of their drink or food. sweet wheatgrass: pineapple juice, wheatgrass juice, ginger juice. I wonder why it's called "sweet" because it was super spicy from the ginger. raw falafel: almonds, sunflower seeds, and buckwheat, and served over marinated kale with olives, cucumber, tomato and red onion. The falafel was quite spicy and I was glad that there's side of fresh salad. get rich quick sushi: raw vegan sushi made with cauliflower, jicama, sunflower seeds, cucumber, and avocado, wrapping nori. I like that it's mostly made of vegetables rather than made with nuts which is quite refreshing to eat. quinoa nori salad: fluffy quinoa mixed with avocado and tomato marinated in a creamy sesame ginger dressing, topped with rosemary cashew cheese and baby arugula. pumpkin pie: soaked cashews, coconut meat, carrot and ginger on a brazil nut, almond crust. When I took the first bite, it was so sweet, then I realized that the first ingredient on the list is agave. I will have to be careful with raw desserts, I'm not used to sweet food anymore. matcha bow: almond milk, pumpkin seed, matcha, maca, and mesquite on top of brazil nut and buckwheat crust topped with banana and hemp seed. The desserts seems too sweet and heavy to be eaten at once. I definitely have a preference for their savory dishes. This place is one of my favorite food stop. read more

I've been a customer of JP in general since their launch, and the issues that they have in this store are off putting and I don't come across them in their other locations. I have hesitated to write this for SO long because I dont get pleasure out of publishing a negative review, however after my experience today, I feel it's worthwhile to say something. You have a staff problem. Period and point blank. When someone walks in, knowing they likely won't leave without parting with a good chunk of change, I'm sure they (or I will speak for myself) I expect to be greeted or simply acknowledged. Staff can't be bothered as they are too busy listening to loud music and joking amongst themselves (I frequently walk in to hear the n word and other expletives blasting), or because they are honed in on their phones. Never have I entered and not felt I was interrupting the employees who appear to be at leisure. During checkout, cashiers can be extremely rude - not saying hello, thank you, how's it going or even speaking at all. I have regularly been rung up without any eye contact made or even a simple thank you for my business. I don't come to buy my green juice with a side of bad attitude but if I did I would be in the right place. I'm glad to see that it's so fun to work at JP Tribeca that employees don't feel the need to be remotely kind to their customers or even acknowledge them. I hope it's just as lucrative as it is fun, because I'm sure they've lost many a customer through this behavior and treatment. Customer service was terrible. I have done a juice cleanse before but this was my first time here. First they had no record of my order even though I called ahead of time to make sure they would have it ready. The guy just looked at me like "nope". I told him I had called ahead to make sure it would be ready and whoever I spoke with confirmed. He made no attempt to try to look me up or look up my order or offer any sort of help. Luckily I had printed out my order confirmation number. Which he took and still couldn't figure out what to do because it didn't say what I ordered. Sooooo I told him what I ordered and he agreed without looking it up to verify that I wasn't lying. Then I had some questions about the cleanse itself, order of drinks, length, shelf life......he just kept looking at me like how dare I ask him anything and kept saying, " Uhhhhhh, I dunno", "Uhhhhh, I dunno". No one makes eye contact with me when I order and everyone acts like I'm bothering them with my business. The staff is often on their cell phones and/ or discussing private drama between colleagues. Management needs to do some professional training with employees about providing better customer service. I love coming here after a run along the Hudson. They have so many great natural juice options, it's hard to pick one. The juices are around 10 bucks, so I like to get my money's worth by picking drinks fueled with hemp protein, agave nectar, or chia seeds. One of my favorite drinks is the fountain of youth - it's jam packed with berries, coconut and hemp protein. When I make hemp shakes at home, the hemp has a very strong and bitter taste that I have become accustomed to. I was pleasantly surprised that the fountain of youth had a more subtle hemp taste. It's nice and refreshing, all of the flavors come together beautifully. The next time I stop by juice press, I really want to try their coffee blends. As a MS Nutritionist I love the JP concept. Innovative juices, modern interior, but prices that come with a hefty price tag. If you're buying juices that are not blended right in front of you, they are not as fresh in my opinion, but that's their shtick. Also, while a bagel with some kale is my go to, a lot of times its not super fresh, and once again, overpriced. I branched out and tried some Matcha cashew pudding. All I can say is, not sweet enough, and I don't even like sweet desserts, so.. just, bland, and took me nearly halfway of consumption to find it slightly appetizing. They have a wide array of juice offerings (and samples as well) -- I grabbed my thai coconut water with vegan probiotics and was impressed with the quality of the juice.. very fresh tasting and naturally sweet. The bottle was $8/9 ..which was the usual range for juices. The portion was perfect and I was able to sip through it all day at work -- it did its job and definitely re-hydrated me while cooing me down. You have to make health a priority AND a luxury in your life if you want to feel great and age less than those around you. Pay for Juice Press or eat next door and pay a doctor in a few years. I've been here almost daily since they opened. Service is always good. I'm grateful they opened in my neighborhood. The owner is committed to providing organic, high quality food that can and will change your life! Eat here for two weeks and I bet you'll be able to fire your doctor. The staff is enthusiastic and welcoming...probably the best staff of all the JPs. Phoenix is my personal favorite staff member. Try the Love at First Sight green juice, iced coffee with black label, any smoothie or the probiotic yogurt non dairy drink. They have great salads, other foods and deliciously desserts without the HFCS everything is made fresh - or packaged freshly yesterday. Even for me, the pickiest eater on the planet - I can eat almost anything in the place. And trust me I do. The immaculate kitchen with glass partitions is great for the OCD freak in me. I think their juices, prepared meals and salads are all delicious! The staff is helpful (shout out to Phoenix) and I haven't been disappointed with any of the products I've tried. I'm happy that really healthy stuff can taste so good and I can't wait to try other things! Their prices are a bit expensive, but I think it's also the going rate for organic, healthy, easy grab-n-go places like this. I'm happy to have a healthy option like this right around the corner from Chipotle.
