Got their berry blend. It was very watered down. When I complained, they simply just stated, "we add decent amount of water. Probably that's why." I asked if it was at least a filtered water, and the staff laughed and walked away. Okay... that says it all. Won't be back. Spacious space but empty. With 1 customer. I wonder why.

$11 will get you a 16oz smoothie with a large piece of blue plastic in the drink (see photo). Not sure what the sanitation measures are at Juice Press, but I hope I didn't drink smaller chunks of plastic before noticing this larger piece... I do appreciate the biodegradable straw though. The man at the cash register did apologize and provide a refund, but given the current events, please be careful.

I got the berry smoothie (the one with a bunch of $&@€% symbols). Wasn't really impressed. The smoothie tasted really artificial and left a weird velvet-y feeling in my mouth. My coworker got the mango kale and spinach smoothie and she really enjoyed hers. I would definitely try this place again, but wouldn't get the blueberry one.

Dear Juice Press, expand to Jersey! Signed, a desperately devoted customer who also foolishly provides free promotion. So after doing some research, I found out that they have two locations in NJ, in Paramus and Summit which are both located in Equinox fitness clubs. This doesn't help me at all. I just love their juices, and will double park in a heartbeat if I am passing by one of their locations. I recently discovered their green charcoal drink which consists of cucumbers, celery, lemon, kale, and activated charcoal. I instantly loved the taste, so I thought this was a universal win until I had someone else try it who rejected it after a few sips. Taste buds are so unique, aren't they. Anyway, I don't think you could go wrong with any of their drinks. Until next time, Juice Press.

Juice and smoothie places are abundant in New York, and Juice Press is one of the upper tier joints. The juices are clean and refreshing as well as their smoothies. I had a green bowl here around noon on a weekday, and it wasn't busy so I barely had to wait for it. There is plenty of seating and there's even a shelf of books about clean eating and nutrition. The employees are friendly and seem like they all get along well, which makes the environment upbeat and fun.

Good stuff. And good for ya.

I would love to give Juice Press 5 stars because their cold-pressed juices, made with all organic ingredients, are by far among the most fresh and delicious I've ever tasted. I discovered them recently on a two-day trip to Lower Manhattan, where this particular location was celebrating their second day open. The place is immaculate inside. The front of the restaurant houses a giant refrigerator full of freshly-made juices, with a selection unparalleled to any other juice joint I've been to. The back has seating, with an open kitchen where you can order smoothies and salads. The rooms are connected by a hallway that houses all the registers. Upon entry I was greeted by a friendly woman interested to know what I liked in terms of juice and ingredients, ready to point me in the right direction. I told her I like my juices green and not too sweet, and that I drink a lot of kale and wanted something different. She then recommended a juice blend dominated by fennel and arugula -- two greens that I typically go out of my way to avoid eating. But let me tell you, this juice (the "Be Fit," to be exact) was delicious. If you've never experienced drinking your veggies, this would be an excellent entry into the game for you. The only reason I can't give the fifth star as much as I'd like to, is that this one 17-ounce bottle of juice cost $12 with tax. I realize that fresh, organic produce is expensive, as is New York City real estate. And frankly, if I was drinking this as a meal replacement, it might not seem that bad. But I was indeed starving just a little while later and still ended up having a late breakfast. The point being -- the whole healthy-living, juicing thing is pretty expensive. I was not told of one either of the two days I came in for a juice, but hopefully they have an affinity program of some kind. I would think that customers willing to pony up this kind of money would be rewarded for their loyalty. I would be willing to make a deal, however: Open up a juice press in East Brunswick, NJ where I live, and not only will I go all-out with 5 stars, I'll come in at least once a day! :)

About as fresh as it can be. It's about $5 to get the cheapest sandwiches. The last time here they had the Spicy Seitan Wrap. Also they have a salad bar with all kinds of things you can put into a container. They have proteins including chicken and tempeh. Has quite a lot for a locally owned grocery. It's pretty okay as far as prices, because while it's not always cheap, there's also freshness and quality. The store has tons of items for vegans and vegetarians.

That kind of reliability means a lot to the community and was incredibly appreciated. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and helpful, which makes shopping there a pleasant experience every time. You can tell they care about their customers and the store. The prices are a bit on the higher end compared to larger grocery stores, but for a local market with such a great selection and such wonderful service, I personally don't mind supporting them. I agree with other some other reviewers that the people who work there - cashiers aside who are usually very nice - can be rude and aggressive. Somehow many, not all, of the workers/managers could care less about customers versus their task at hand. The result is lack of respect that manifests in intrusive behaviors such as bumping into customers without apologizing, not moving to let customers navigate the narrow aisles and yelling/pointing while directing another worker while customer is literally right there which is akin to invading personal space. The concern is if the store's history and future potential becomes overshadowed by obnoxious behaviors and lose too many customers, over time, to stay afloat. I'm not yet ready to bail but am getting close, unfortunately, esp given alternative markets and/or online options for the same products.
