It is Thursday morning, April 2 and the lady that's here at 7:42 AM this morning does not like your job. She's moving extra extra slow doesn't care about nobody that comes in. My co-worker just went in after placing an online order for our team, as we are celebrating Employee Appreciation Week. After hearing her experience, I was so appalled that I had to write a review. I am allergic honey allergy, and have to be very careful about smoothies and granola as a good amount have honey sweeteners. After being unsure about the exact ingredients of the granola, I called to ask but no one answered the phone- no big deal, I figured it was probably busy. My friend assured me she would double-check when she went to pick up. When the order (2 açaí bowls, 1 smoothie, and 1 raw juice) was supposed to be ready, she arrived and asked the cashier if there was any honey in the granola. As a response, the girl working behind the counter lifted up the big bulk box of granola and said "I don't know. Read it. Does it say honey on it?" This lead to my coworker scanning the box in embarrassment (part of it was ripped off, too) while people were waiting behind her. After the box was put back down, she was given the order and the cashier started to help the person behind her, but our order was still missing a drink. When she pointed that out, the cashier sighed and went to the fridge to grab it and handed it to her without saying anything. The complete lack of customer service and blatant rudeness is something this Juice It Up needs to address. This review is not the first that mentions how the staff doesn't seem to care and ignores customers. They need to re-think who they hire at this location. I'm lucky that my friend was kind enough to double check an allergy-related item was correct, but others might not have the same fortune. Beware! read more

The service of the lady working today is 5 star. She answered our questions and was pleasant and patient. This review is solely about the Açaí Bowels and the Blue Bowels. This review is not about the smoothies. Their Açaí is blended with a bunch of juices so it is very watered down and sweet. It actually tastes weird. Their Blue bowl's base also seems to be blended with juice and is soooooo sweet in a bad way. I had been to a dozen Açaí places before, this is the first time where they blend the açaí with juice. I guess they were friendly but rushed through my order the $11+ dollar drink I paid for isn't even fully blended and it's not like they were busy or short staffed to be rushing through my order. I never have a long wait and I don't know the young man's name but he normally works evenings during the week and he is always friendly. Whenever I go in someone is always cleaning so it's nice to know everything stays clean. My drink is always perfect and I haven't had anything messed up so far. Big fan of their protein acai bowl, so good! However, I came by today because I had a buy one get one offer for a smoothie and unfortunately the prices are getting really high here, cost me $7.50! For a smoothie that was probably 16 oz? I'd rather go buy the ingredients and be able to make multiple smoothies at home. Whenever I need a lighter meal, Juice-It-Up! is my place of choice at Riverside Plaza, since it's nearby my place of employment. Parking can be a real hassle during the lunch hour at the Plaza, so keep that in mind. This restaurant has never been extremely busy, but the staff works pretty quickly to take and serve orders. My item of choice has been the protein blue bowl that comes with three toppings. I choose granola, strawberry and banana, which is an ideal mixture. I've also had coconut flakes as an addition. Cost wise, I will say it is more of less like a value meal price. You're spending $5-$8 depending on toppings. Of course they have other options and I've ordered drinks/smoothies before. So I literally haven't written a review in more than I believe 10 years . But this place brought me out of retirement . This location sucks . I'm very easy going but I'm also in the industry so I just don't like when certain industry standards are broken. The drinks are fine . I'm not picky . Today what really set me off is they the staff doesn't answer the phone and they turned off all the lights 10 minutes before close so they look closed but they are not . There is this one particular zombie of a person who they put on REGISTER and he doesn't even talk . How the hell are you a cashier and don't even talk to guest ? Had to add this ... I was the only customer there when I ordered and they messed the order up . Charged for a large and gave me a medium . They did make me another one but just how do you mess that up ?
