Fine spot for some juice when I'm feeling healthy. I've tried their blue lemonade and sea moss lemonade, after doing a bit of reading on sea moss. I wish the yuzu flavors in the sea moss lemonade were a bit stronger, though, and the sea moss lemonade does feel a bit overly sweet for a health drink (though, it is flavored with agave and not sugar which is a plus!) Super quick service (can just pick up a bottle, pay, and go). I rarely give 5 stars but I can't stop moaning and obsessing over this smoothie I got walking home from Penn Station tonight. Truth be told, I saw someone drinking a Blue Majik smoothie on Instagram which is from Juice Press and needed a quick dinner so I ended up accidentally searching "Juice Generation" on Yelp and ended up here-- seriously the best mistake I've ever made! When I asked for a Blue Majik, the employees were sweet and chuckled because I obviously had the wrong juice spot. Whoops! But I decided to stay anyway and ended up ordering the Power Plant Smoothie (unsweetened + almond milk) and I CANNOT GET OVER HOW PHENOMENAL IT IS. The Power Plant smoothie has the BEST texture, you almost chew with every sip, so it's very filling, full of fiber and has 17 grams of protein. It's also a vibrant bright green color which makes me feel extra healthy, under 500 calories with 11 grams of fiber. I love that the only sweetness comes from pineapple so it's an easy choice for dinner if I'm feeling bloated. The only thing is that there's a sneaky 29 grams of fat in it. So it's better for mornings even though I'll be eating it for dinners. Sorry to rant, but like, this was the best mistake ever. Sorry Juice Press...... Plant Protein smoothie obsessed. read more

The team at Juice Generation was friendly and speedy with taking orders and getting customers out the door and on their way in a timely manner. I ordered the almond butter bowl with added spinach pureed in. The bowl was topped with coconut, strawberries, bananas and granola. The bagged it up with a spoon and napkin and voila, my morning was started on a healthy foot. i love this place! i was visiting the city for a few days and wanted to make sure i stuck to my routine. pressed was close as well but i hate that their juices aren't made fresh. here, they typically will depending on which one you order. they have a fridge completely stocked with juices, tonics, and shots as well that i'll try next time. the two green smoothies are the ones i had: high-fibe and green guardian. of these two, the high-fibe was my favorite. service was always very nice and efficient so im not sure what these other reviews are referring too. it's a cute little spot, try to order ahead because it gets pretty busy in the mornings. i'm pretty sure there's a subway and bus stop right in front and it's on a busier block. read more

No. Just no. I came in for an acai bowl to help with my California nostalgia and ended up borderline getting sick. I got an acai bowl and it was nowhere near what it should have been. The acai was basically lavender brown and tasted like a pasty ice. It had no flavor to complement the stale fruit. There wasn't anything... good about the bowl. I wasn't sure what I was eating and got a little more than halfway through before I just stopped. Nothing tasted like it should have. I know that there was almond butter involved but I've had bowls with almond butter that were actually good - this was not it. The smoothies looked a little better than this but given the ingredients, I'm sure there's a small step above a normal Jamba Juice. Regardless, fruit, smoothies, acai bowls, etc. are expensive enough in the city. I say you're better investing in a Ninja and making your own stuff instead of dealing with this. read more

Hale to Kale is definitely my favorite drink here!! I came one morning after feeling pretty exhausted and worn out for a quick revitalizing drink. I have to admit the prices are pretty steep here, I've juiced on my own and can make a week's worth of juices for $20 while this place charges $8 for 20z. The line was short when I went, but there have been times that the line was quite long plus people on the side waiting.. It just makes an equation that equals uncomfort! I received my juice pretty quickly and they have an open kitchen so I watched the guy make it. One thing that I did notice is when you order a smoothie, they will give you the remaining stuff in the blender however if you order a fresh juice then this is not the case. You will watch whatever doesn't fit in your cup going in the trash. The juice itself is extremely smooth and free of any pulp, which I prefer personally. The juice also tastes delicious.. I can't bear to give a one-star review to a chain I've known and loved for a long time, especially because the employees at this location are friendly and they work quickly (some places don't understand the "rush" in lunch rush!) Unfortunately, I will be steering clear of any Juice Gen smoothies that include protein in the future. If you have a sensitive stomach like me, go for an açai bowl or a juice instead. If you come to juice generation try the smoothies and the food-- their ingredients are a little more "special" than the juices and others. I figured it makes the amount you spend on one of the drinks more worthwhile. BUT anyways, I always get the peanut butter split. They ask you if you want it sweetened but isn't really necessary for this drink. They also ask for the type of milk and even what kind of sweetener if you do say yes. It's sweet on its own though. I recently tried the joyful almond. It's good but I wouldn't choose it over the latter. I chose to get this sweetened and they allowed me to choose between honey and a date. The service is great. They made just a tad bit too much of the joyful almond and put the remaining in an extra cup for me to take home. But I do agree that for a drink it can be quite expensive! read more
