I just started a new job in Hudson Square, and this Juice Generation is my go to lunch spot. Whatever judge me, go ahead. I don't care. If I eat too big of a lunch these days I can't even function and am just completely unproductive the 2nd half of the day, so a smoothie really is the optimal option. If my time in New York has taught me anything, it's that smoothie culture in the city is severely lacking. So when I found out about this Protein Knockout smoothie ($11), it actually changed my life. The water, blueberries, peanut butter, banana, and vanilla whey protein all make up 560 calories: 55 grams of protein, 23 grams of fat, and only 36 carbs. They should really rename it to THE MACRO BULLY or THE MOG FATHER. All caps. I use their app to order ahead, so right when I walk in my smoothie is ready and waiting. Their app is lowkey trash though. We need some way better UI. I'mma send an email to their product team right when I wrap this review up... Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews read more

We stopped at this chain 3 times because my partner kept requesting we go back! I found the inside to be crisp and clean and had the smell of fresh veggies and fruits. It definitely feels like a healthy meal replacement choice. read more

As a smoothie lover, I always try a different smoothie at Juice Generation. I had the Purple Pineapple this time and it was really delicious. The smoothie has pineapple, coconut, banana, acai, apple, and blueberries. I love the added coconut. It adds sweetness to the smoothie in a good way. Although the smoothies cost around $10-$11, they are blended well and they are filling. I am not a fan of the price but considering that other places can have expensive smoothies that do not taste good, I really like this one from Juice Generation. Also they have indoor seating and it's spacious inside compared to other locations. read more

Great fresh juice and smoothie place on Bleecker! They have a fridge filled with juice to go or you can order freshly made juices and smoothies! Made right in front if you - there is a wide range to choose from as well as a few snacks such as vegan desserts. Went with some wellness shits which were great and a Mucho Mango smoothie which was delicious and not too sweet. Definitely worth a visit read more

Great for seeking refuge from the asphalt heat. Good sized smoothie. They only offer one size option, but it is enough to satisfy the small hunger pangs of mid afternoon. The protein knockout is the smoothie with the most protein and you can feel it. I took it as a meal replacement and it really does replace a whole meal. I didn't need dinner. You get 55g of whey protein. The base is water, but you can choose milk etc. I opted for water, and it still came out creamy. You also have other items on the menu that are plant based. Inside it is very spacious, never crowded. It gets loud due to the blenders. There is one table outside on the curb. read more

JG has a way of making me feel like I just need a smoothie beverage every one in a while. Although I typically only get it in the summer time I'm always in the mood for my fav drink, watermelon dragon! It always hits the spot! It's the perfect blend of sweet and refreshing- I never add additional agave/sugar. Although maybe a bit pricey it's worth it. At 150 calories - it's so worth it. It's always consistent at each location and they do get you in and out pretty quickly!! I didn't even realize they had a location down town so I'm glad we stumbled upon it! If you love watermelon/lime/strawberry - you'll love this! read more

Located in Greenwich Village, this Juice Generation, like any other, is clean with friendly customer service. The seating is very limited, about three seats total along the window. This Juice Generation is also pet friendly. They have a dog bowl filled with water by the entrance door... I am not sure how frequently it is changed though. I'm a fan of Juice Generation because their juices and smoothies are so concentrated. The only thing I noticed about this location compared to others is that instead of giving you the leftovers from the juicing/smoothie making, they mostly throw it out. Recently, I ordered a Kale Kolada for $9ish and only got 3/4 of the juice, which is extremely unusual because whenever I ordered this drink at the other locations, they always fill it up with tons left for you to drink on the side. Definitely not a fan when it comes the the quantity over value at this location. Other than that, I would recommend. read more

Juice gen. You reeeeally need to get that acai runny and flavorless soup with a couple pieces of fruit on in SPRINKLED with some granola flakes ain't acai bowl. I can't believe I paid $11 for this mess. It doesn't taste like anything. It's cold and wet, like November in NYC. Their shots are great, however. read more

Extremely quick and very friendly. My order was ready and waiting when I got to the store.

I walked in impromptu looking for a light lunch that could also satisfy my sweet tooth on my way back from a quick shopping trip. I was happy to discover Juice Generation and decided to go in a for a smoothie bowl. I was not disappointed. I got a tropical acai bowl which seemed small, but was the perfect portion size. They did not skimp on the toppings specifically the mango and kiwifruit. Both were very fresh which I was not expecting. It was an easy take out and stayed cold qnd put together for the 6 more blocks back to my apartment. I will be stopping in here again if I need a wonderful fruit fix. read more

I've had my fair share of acai bowls and the Hella Good Greens bowl is hella good! I just thought it was kind of strange that the smoothie part was a dark brown color and not actually green, but it tasted fresh and I'm sure all the greens were in there. The staff was super friendly and accommodating when I asked to substitute the banana with strawberry. The place is clean and well-maintained, but there are only a few seats near the window. read more

Juice Generation is ALWAYS clean, healthy and the staff is almost always very friendly! I actually probably like this location the most (I've been to probably all of them throughout NYC),because this one was literally about 5 minutes walking distance from one of my favorite vegan spots. Additionally, upon walking in, there was some cool art on the wall and there's always some really good music playing in the background. I always seem to order the "Peanut Butter Split Smoothie" because it's always that good lol, but I have tried the Kale smoothie in here which is equally as good. This location is right on Bleeker street in which there are other shops and restaurants around in case you wanted to stop somewhere else. Overall, you can't lose with any Juice Generation you go to when trying to live a healthy lifestyle! read more

Review from 1/21/2017 Popped in here to get a quick drink of juice in the morning. The place is pretty nice and very clean. I think this location may be new. I got a simple orange juice, which was on the sweeter side, but still quite nice. A little expensive for a juice, but that's how it goes in this city. I didn't see them fresh squeeze the oranges, so I'll have to pay more attention next time. read more

Love the acai bowls... they are a healthy meal substitute. My favs are off the new menu " protein revolution" and coco acai. FYI - pay for extra granola on the side. Juices are good also. Love this place! The juices are so good and the staff is always so friendly. I'm here at least 4 times a week! Loyal customer.

Dear Manager/Owner/CEO: Rude, entitled, unprofessional and disrespectful employees. You say 'Thank You' they ignore you. You come to the register to order something, no greeting. Though, the moment you pull your mask down to scratch your nose for a split second, they shout at you "Sir, would you please put your mask above your nose!" Last time I walk through the doors of JG. I love a good smoothie, what can I say? I actually don't have much to say except that I'm a fan of this place. When you walk in, it smells both clean AND healthy. Seriously, it smells healthy. Let that sink in. Considering the handful of times I've come here, it has always been for one thing and one thing only - their joyful almond. It is so decadent, but also not. I like that you have a choice of milk; I always choose almond, but they also have coconut milk, if that's your jam. I also like that they give you a choice of sweetener between agave and dates. Quite honestly, both are delicious, but today, I opted for the dates for the first time and I'm impressed. It is quite expensive here, but I'm not really complaining, either. I think for the quality and quantity, the pricing is adequate, especially if you're not buying an ~$8 smoothie everyday. read more

A large bit overpriced, but on the other hand, I am on a one month juice fast, so it was a life saver for me! The bottled juices were USDA organic, cold pressed, non gmo, etc. what more can you ask for! read more

Super rude and not accommodating - I order here a couple of times a week and accidentally ordered jt to the wrong location - every other big business would see the receipt and offer to replace it if it's a one of mistake. Definitely not here read more

If I could leave a zero review I would. The employees were super rude, unprofessional and looked miserable. Considering how expensive their juices are you would think they'd want to cater to their customers. They have a huge open area with no tables. There is a long standing table by the door that is well over 12 feet away from the employees. It is freezing cold outside today and I was looking forward enjoying my $9 Juice inside were it was warm. I didn't notice the "no indoor dining" sign till after I made my purchase and kindly asked if I could finish my juice inside since it is cold. I was rudely told no I could not. Now please tell me how this makes sense when I'm a paying customer and there is currently no mask mandate. Waste of money and I will not be coming back. read more

Really nice juice bar complete with smoothies, bowls, wellness shots and healthy baked goods. It's comforting to walk into the shop knowing that for the most part, everything is actually pretty healthy and not packed with hidden sugars and fat. Solid juice bar. Friendly servers. Highly recommend the pure watermelon juice in the summer months!

I mean... how does a smoothie worker have such a bad attitude!? They sold us a muffin that was easily less tasty than cardboard and when I asked when it was made, he gave me a smug answer. Though advertised as made fresh daily, the jerk behind the counter admitted that this muffin was a leftover one from a couple days before. Even after I threw it away in front of him, he didn't even offer a refund or an apology. Instead, he just gave attitude. I will take my morning routine elsewhere. read more

I'm not someone to rate anything online, ever, but as a Juice Generation fan and neighbor, I feel a need to flag the inconsistency at this store. I try to be less lazy and make smoothies myself, but on the off day, I swing by this shop to fulfill my itch when out of ingredients myself. I'm consistently bummed by the outcome when I do. The service is great and fine, but the product is always annoying tasteless. Inconsistent texture (and watery for an acai bowl!), always watered down -- I'm not sure if there's a cut back from management on ration of fruit, but you're a smoothie store, surely input costs isn't too high per smoothie sold -- and it's bare on top (which let's be real, it the reason to buy the acai!). I hate to be the complaining customer, and I'll still faithfully visit other Juice Generations, but this one could use some love. read more

On a random day during the year I decide to be healthy, and get juices and smoothies and stuff. This day was one of those days. I walk in, undecided on what to get, and ended up with something peanut butter, but of course I'm undecided so I change my mind about four times. The girl behind the counter let me try some that was leftover, and I finally made up my mind. I walked out, enjoyed my amazing smoothie, and pretended I was a health nut while walking around the city. The end. read more

I never was a smoothie person until I came here. Although it's expensive (but where in Manhattan isn't?), it's worth it. And they have coconut milk which is great for those avoiding dairy and almonds. I usually get the Mr. Greengenes with coconut milk... and love it!! Perfect mix of healthy greens and sweet fruits. Creamy and yummy without being over the top. I ordered the Coconut smoothie once, removed then coconut oil, and added greens. It was bomb! haha Oh, and the peanut butter banana one is to die for... I had it after a long run and it was perfect. Today I ordered the Mint Matcha (added kale, spinach, etc for $1.00) and it was amazing! I will definitely order this again next time, but might hold the dates to see if it's still as yummy :) read more

I like a complicated all veggie juice order and these guys nailed it. I thought that the vegetables tasted fresh and I enjoyed my juice quickly and thoroughly. terrible customer service on two separate occasions. will not be returning. there were literally more people working at the store than trying to order and they still couldn't keep the line moving. the woman who took my order claimed I ordered a double shot - I ordered a single - and then told me she charged me for a double. when I asked for a refund another worker kept telling me to "relax because she's new" which - as a customer - is not my concern and then kept saying he wanted to make sure I was happy because I'm the customer. I then had to wait for the manager to check the register only to find out the woman lied and actually charged me for the correct item. Entire ordeal could have been avoided if the woman who took my order could had been accurate or - since she's "new" - maybe trained better. entire experience was incredibly disappointing. read more
