We got Acai bowls here and they were good. Could have used more fresh fruit. The menu said blueberries, but only bananas were on it. It was still pretty good. The service was good. This place is an incredible find. On an island that isnt necessarily the most health conscious Juice 101 offers a great oppty. for healthy drinks and food in the N. Kona area. This place is waaaay over priced for the amount and quality of food you get. Acai bowls $8 for a 1/4 c of soupy Acai juice with a couple table spoons of granola and 3 pieces of banana. Also ordered the Greek salad $11 for a small paper plate of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, olives, and feta cheese. Come on! My salads that I take to work for lunch is better than this! Lastly, we waited at least 45 min to get our food! Not the girls fault since she was the only one working but there was 1 customer ahead of us. What a bummer... read more

My wife and I spent a week in Hawaii and just returned last night. We were just up the road from Juice 101 and went there just about every single day. The service was very, very friendly, the smoothies and juices were incredible, and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this juice bar to everyone! I came here recently and was impressed with the service that we got from Breauna. She was patient in answering all of our questions and helpful with suggestions as to what we might like best. I ended up with the Fire & Ice and it was delicious, and I had no complaints with it what so ever! Everyone else in our group seemed to really enjoy all of there drinks as well. The only reason for the lack of the 5th star is for the other worker there. I had come in later that day to get some Kava and I had to wait quite a bit while she was talking to some guy who ended up not even being a customer. Once she was done with her conversation I attempted to order my kava, to which she said "We are all out and won't have any until tomorrow". At the time I thought, oh no big deal I'll just come back then. Fast forward 2 days later and I'm back for some kava and Breauna was in and I asked again for some kava, and then explained the what had happened and she told me that they have had kava all week and always do.... So in turn the employee just didn't want to make it. I would definitely recommend this spot and just ask for Breauna! read more

Chick working makes the atmosphere in the store really uncomfortable. She talks super loud cause she needs to stop drinking coffee. Everyone that walks out has this look on their face like WTF just happened. She takes forever to make your order and would rather talk to you about how successful her store is and how she wants to expand and franchise. Not for coffee! This review is for coffee only since their sign does say they serve coffee as well. Kimobean coffee next door was closed so I came here since they advertise that they have coffee. I was waiting for the Hula show to start and needed coffee. I ordered BREWED coffee---- NOT a latte or espresso drinks. Total cost??? A whopping THREE dollars. My coffee came from a thermos and not hand poured or freshly brewed. I don't know how they could justify charging that much. I didn't see a sign of a poster than they grow or roast their own coffee so I have no idea what the overhead cost is. If you just want a brewed coffee and the coffee shop is close, go to Foodland next door . They have coffee in the thermos just like this place except they charge the standard $1.09 for a cup. Very nice vibe in the place, peaceful music, friendly staff. I ordered an enter sandman and it was DELISH. A healthy alternative to a sweet treat! On Tuesday, 7/15/14, my girlfriend and I decided to hit up Juice 101 to start off our day since we were staying at Mauna Lani Resort. Atmosphere/Decor: The place reminded me of Jamba Juice. Similar set up and concept. There were plenty of tables to sit at. Food: My girlfriend and I went to Juice 101 two days in a row. I ordered the B-52 smoothie (strawberries, blueberries, mango, and fresh squeezed pineapple juice) and my girlfriend ordered their special smoothie of the day (dragon fruit.) I liked my smoothie a lot. It was really good. You have the option of ordering a 12 oz or for a few more dollars a 20 oz. Of course I went with the 20 oz. Anything with fresh squeezed pineapple juice is going to taste good. The girl that worked their told me the B-52 smoothie is one of their most popular smoothies. My girlfriend liked her smoothie a lot as well. I tasted some of her smoothie and I liked it. Dragon fruit tastes pretty good. For my 2nd time at Juice 101, I decided to go with The Garage smoothie (the 101 works - all fruits.) The Garage smoothie was pretty good. It was hard to distinguish or identify a particular fruit while drinking the smoothie but it tasted really good so who cares. My girlfriend ordered the same smoothie she ordered the day before. Service: There were two younger girls working at Juice 101. They were very polite and nice. They made the smoothies really quick. One of the girls asked my girlfriend and I if we were brother and sister because our teeth are very white and straight. I was like, ummmm no. I was also thinking in my head my girlfriend is half white half Asian and I'm half Mexican half white. There is no way we look alike plus thinking about being brother and sister is pretty sick. Overall: Juice 101 is pretty good. Both of the smoothies I had tasted good. The fruit they use seemed very fresh. I took one star off because the girl thought me and my girlfriend were brother and sister. I'm joking! That's not why I took a star off. I'm still team Jamba Juice but my girlfriend acutally liked Juice 101 better than Jamba Juice. I didn't see any other juice places on the big Island or near where we were staying. It was hard to give these guys 3 stars i frequent this place because i love a few of the smoothies here .. MOST of the time the staff is awesome there was or is a younger gentleman that's GREAT SUPER POSITIVE UPBEAT AND ALWAYS ACKNOWLEDGES PEOPLE EVEN WHEN THEY ARE "SHORT STAFFED" And or busy .... But we went in yesterday 1/6 and stood in line for easily 10-15 min without even being acknowledged totally understand the wait if they are busy or short staffed but I've seen it 10 times busier with the one gentleman and he still had a great attitude acknowledging customers and taking orders .. there's tons of jobs out there and if customer service isn't ones cup of tea it's probably best they leave the industry rather than push their frustrations to the customers making them feel like an inconvenience and unwelcome... was pretty disappointed to have this experience here had it not been like that it would easily have been a 5star review read more
