Possibly the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Newman's own frozen pizza is better. But I guess I should kind of expect it ordering pizza in Hawaii. The only thing worse then the pizza was the price at 24$. They call this a Margherita pizza but it's just a cheese pie with tomatoes slices on it. Decent deli food, priced a bit high but that's expected if you're in a 5 star hotel! Not too many options for vegetarian/vegan except the Buddha salad, oats, açaí bowl and fruit bowl. Good options for meat eaters. We had the malasadas, which are absolutely delicious. The Buddha salad is ok, my husband loved the breakfast burrito, but the breakfast sandwich was cold and not properly toasted. The açaí bowl is ok, so is the fruit bowl. Brown's Deli is located right next to the pool. They open up pretty early (6:30 am) which is nice for the early birds who want coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The customer service is good but meh, everything else was mediocre. Of course, everything is overpriced at this resort but I expected better quality food and coffee. I've had the turkey sandwich (3.5/5), veggie wrap (3/5), California roll (2/5), chocolate chip cookie (3/5), and the iced vanilla latte (3/5). Nothing special really. They did have a good special on their tumblers and coffee commuter cups. If you purchased one for $20, your coffee and tea would be discounted if you go back for drinks and you would get the flavored syrup at no charge. The customer service was pretty good and if you purchase something, you have the option to charge it to your room. There are some picnic tables right outside near the pool but no seating area in the deli. Overall an alright spot to get coffee and quick grub. The food quality can be improved but I can't complain too much-if I'm at Brown's Deli, I'm at the beautiful Fairmont Orchid. read more

Prices are steep but it's a resort so it's expected. This deli is right by the pool so it was convenient to walk out from my room to grab a bite to eat. There weren't very many lunch options for non-meat eaters. I got the tuna sandwich which was $16 but it was pretty good. I really enjoyed the Kim chi (?) flavored pickle in it, as it elevated the sandwich and made it different from other tuna sandwiches. I wanted to try the banana bread but only the gluten-free one was left. The shop also sells souvenirs, Hawaiian bottled teas, and taro chips. read more

Too convenient, especially if you are a guest here and could say those six magic words: "I'll charge it to the room" Salads, sandwiches, yogurt, espresso drinks, chips, fruit, sodas, water, juice, sushi rolls, pastries, etc. I especially liked their pressed Cuban-style sandwiches; large and tasty. I wasn't so crazy about their California rolls, which were not meaty enough for me. Prices were highish, of course. But for the convenience and location, pretty reasonable. read more

This place is a glorified coffee shop, sort of like a step up from a Starbucks. They have great hours, opening early in the morning and staying open until 5 PM. My husband and I appreciated that they were open at 6 AM on the first morning of our stay, when we got up extremely early due to a poor adjustment to the time difference. Most things are pre-packaged and pre-prepared, then just heated up. It's a grab-and-go sort of arrangement. They had vegetarian options, which I appreciated, but nothing was particularly good. I ordered a smoothie, only to find it was made of sugary concentrate rather than fresh fruit. I ordered a pizza, only to find that heating it up just led to me receiving an order of melted cheese with some crust buried beneath. It's very expensive (for what it is) and there's nothing here you can't get from a grocery store or a coffee shop. By our second day, we learned to order room service instead. read more

Decent quick bites and relatives inexpensive in comparison to everything else at the Fairmont. The quiche isn't the best as it had more of a custard texture rather than a quiche. Part of the Fairmont Orchid, we ate here for lunch while hanging by the pool then the next day I grabbed a muffin for breakfast. For lunch, had the carved ham and cheddar sandwich with garlic aioli. Served warm and it was delicious and pretty reasonable for a resort, $10. For breakfast, had a simple blueberry muffin which was phenomenal. It was served hot and the blueberries were so fresh they tasted like they were picked earlier that morning. Convenient and somewhat reasonable, you won't be disappointed. read more

Probably the most reasonable place to eat at the Fairmont, besides the bar upstairs at happy hour. Made a pretty good croissant sandwich, but nothing fantastic. You can get a refillable thermos for either hot or iced coffee for $25, and it's totally worth it if you're going to be there for awhile. I was excited for the iced coffee, but the top wouldn't fit on the cup, and kept spilling coffee all over my hand as I walked. Decent food, but nothing special. Good for takeaway or a picnic on the beach. read more

This is the poolside deli at the Fairmont Orchid resort. If you are a guest there, it is a fun and yummy way to have breakfast in the morning. Wander over to the deli, grab some food, then walk 25 steps to a poolside (or beachside) lounge chair and enjoy. Favorite item -- it would have to be the dark chocolate cake w/Macadamia nuts. (Look up "Decadent" on WikiPedia, and you'll see a photo of it!) Their banana bread is also outstanding (ask to have it heated -- goes great with the coffee). Their croissant breakfast sandwiches are also very tasty (personally, I enjoyed these more than the non-croissant ones.)
