Honestly, these were just okay. I stopped in for a quick dozen on Christmas Eve and while the service was fast, the donuts themselves were pretty average. They tasted fine--nothing special, just your typical sugar rush--but they didn't really have that fresh, airy crunch I was hoping for. The biggest letdown was getting them home. By the time I opened the box, the glaze had totally melted and turned the donuts into a gooey, sticky mess. They were a pain to eat and lost whatever texture they had left. read more

I would pick 0 stars if I could. I ordered an order of a a dozen donut holes through door dash and asked if they could write happy birthday on it because it was a gift. The order went through and a moment later I got an email saying an additional charge was being added even though I had no prior knowledge of this charge. I called the shop expecting them to be able to reverse the charge considering it was only $1.08 (again that I had no idea they were even going to charge me or else I wouldn't have asked for it) but they said they could not do so because of the type of container they gave me. They were extremely rude and unprofessional and I will not be ordering from or coming here again. read more

Upon entering the aroma of happiness filled my lungs and permeated my soul...a warm and fuzzy feeling came over me and my knees buckled. Feeling faint from the experience I finally composed myself and focused on the showcase of baked goods and with blurred vision and a wet palette I selected the lemon filled donut, my fingers left a trail of oiled finger prints across the glass...moving towards the register I gazed at the Kona coffee lingering in the distance and selected that particular brew to mingle with the tart of lemon and sugar. Judy's Donuts is located next to the bike shop at Willow and Nees. Honestly, not the nest donut store. Prices are high for donuts, but they do great designs such as unicorns and cookie monsters on their donuts. I'm a simple gal, so I don't need all the fancy designs. I just want a dozen donut holes, which are priced quite high in my opinion at $2.50-3.00 I believe. Which is even more disappointing is the lack of glaze on the donut holes. Gorgeous donuts, lots of variety! This was our first time trying Judys. My kids were drooling over all the options. I like simpler donuts and I thought the plain glazed were delicious. Most of the donuts are just great- fresh, slightly crisp on the outside, light and soft on the inside. Best maple bar ever! The apple fritter very good- a little crisp in texture. The one big disappointment was the Strawberry whipped cream donut. It was gobs of nasty fake whipped cream and I ended up scraping the stuff off. Have loved this donut shop since I was a child. It brings back such fond memories every Saturday! I generally have a great experience for a donut shop. Today I visited and was disappointed when I purchased donuts-they very much were yesterday's donuts-which I paid full price for. I go in for a donuts and coffee, I pay in cash and they give me back too little change (10 cents). Not a big deal. I realize I forgot to grab some donut holes for my kids, go back in to grab them. Donut holes are 2.50, I have 2.45 , I'm 5 cents short (yes a nickel) and they won't let the nickel ride, and they won't charge my card for the 2.50 donut holes. When I first walked in the display of donuts looked beautiful, A dozen donuts were ordered and that donut was one of the ones I got which was extra, I told the lady it was fine then we paid and went home, a day later the donuts that we paid extra for looked unpleasant, and when I reached for my special donut which had strawberry's and whip cream I saw that one of the strawberries had fuz and I came to conclusion that it was mold and it was! Came to Judy's Donuts for the first time on Valentine's Day after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures of previous VDay treats. Arrived and there were no special VDay donuts. Picked up a treat to take to my mom and a dozen to bring to work. I did like the texture of the buttermilk loaf. Nice and dense. I don't give out 5 star reviews very often but I figured they were very accommodating and there was nothing I could have complained about with this donut run so it would be hard to go any lower than 5 stars. My brother and I were looking to grab a few donuts. We had nothing but change, and lots of it. The store had all the donuts we were looking for. Side Note: They even had powdered donuts. Even though every grocery store in the world has powdered donuts in boxes e.g. Hostess, Entenmann, Van De Kamp etc. it is very common to not see them in donut shops. I appreciated it when I do see them even though I seldom buy them because of the other options available to me. And finally they were not only willing to take $8 in change (mostly pennies) to pay for the donuts and drinks, they were happy to take the rest of our change and give us 3 dollar bills in place of the nickles and dimes we had left over.
