We were in search of a donut shop and stumbled upon this one. This is such a cute donut shop that sells coffee and tea. They also have a drive through which I thought was such a great perk. So many donuts to choose from but here is what we ordered and loved. Caterpillar - for my three year old. It was appealing with the sprinkles and moist. Maple Bar- my husband loved it. He does wish that they creat a maple bacon in the future lol Lemon poppyseed- delicious and light Old fashion- My dad loved it but wish they sold a non- glazed for ppl that might want something not too sweet. Do I recommend this business? Absolutely, 100% yes!! Stopping here was an absolute treat as we left the lovely town of Midway, Utah. We ordered three donuts and they were all delicious! Honestly, I am sure whatever your favorite flavor profile is, order it and you won't be disappointed. We did not go inside, we instead use the drive-through which was very quick and convenient. Judy's Donuts is currently operating as a drive-thru only. A bit of a bummer as I wanted to explore the darling old home in which they reside, but also entirely understandable as I imagine there is not much space inside. Also, drive thru donuts! Amazing! I passed the shop a little after 8am on a Saturday, and saw a line snaking out to the road. Thinking to give them a little time for catch up, I returned a half hour later to much the same scene. Undaunted, I joined my fellow fried bread enthusiasts, and have to give Judy's props as the wait was minimal. During that short time, I watched in horror as sign after sign of the day's offerings was removed. Eek! Thankfully, they seem to have a large library of flavors, and I was still able to get some goodies, though number one on the list was a fritter, and those appeared to be long gone. I tried the giant Raspberry Bismark, which had a tangy jelly filling, and a topping of raspberry buttercream. Next, the Maple Bar, switching up the traditional glaze for a buttercream frosting. This is a good call, and while it did not convert me to maple bar fandom, it was better than most. The blueberry cake was my favorite of the doughnuts, with real blueberries in the icing, and specks of them in the dough. Each donut was exceptionally moist, remaining so even into the evening. I also had the baklava, and felt there was more nut filling than is traditional - no bad thing! The honey was mild, but with a note of something that made it more than straight up sweet. Notable other offerings include the made for kids "caterpillar," a team of donut holes on a skewer with sprinkles, croissants, and a variety of teas, coffees, and hot chocolate. They also do the whole flavored soda thing, and there were a lot of options. The young woman at the window was friendly, and I paid about $10 for everything. There is plenty of parking around the back if you need to dig into your goodies right away (you'll get no judgement from me - I hate driving and eating, and would much rather take a few moments to savor a treat!). read more

The coffee however was bitter and overpriced for a 12 oz refill (2.40!). Judy's is located right next to FillerUp so if one spot is too busy you have options. I was torn between the raspberry and coconut cream donut- I ended up going with the coconut cream. The thing was massive! Probably could have split it 4 ways with someone and been happy... but I didn't and ended up eating the whole damn thing. It was really tasty. Soft and fluffy dough, cold custard-like cream in the middle, soft coconut shavings in top. It was very fresh- which I always appreciate. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it felt a little overly sweet. I ended up scraping off the frosting on top to cut out some of the sweetness. Feel like it would be a better dessert item than a breakfast item. Overall- awesome! And will definitely be back to try the raspberry:) read more

My wife and I were visiting the Park City Heber Valley area for a month and found this gem in Midway. Wow! What great doughnuts and coffee/tea. The Girl Scout Samoa donut will keep you coming back all on its own (It did for me!) we returned a few times during our visit and went there on a Monday not realizing they are closed but I got lucky as they were doing a pop up day at the store with just beignets. I picked up half a dozen to take back to the condo and it was torture smelling them all the way home! Brewed up a quick espresso and enjoyed two while they were still warm! I've made beignets, have had them at the world famous cafe du mond in New Orleans and these are by far the tops! Lastly the people who work there couldn't be friendlier! Love a doughnut from Judy's. They have great Apple Fritters and old fashions. My only issue is there is a lot of frosting on m at of their doughnuts. But that is probably more of personal preference than anything else. Definitely the best place for doughnuts in the Heber Valley. read more

OMG! When you are craving donuts or a sweet treat - Judy's will definitely satisfy. The drive thru had a few cars lined up and the store was full of people when we arrived. The wait was quick and gave us time to decide which treats we wanted to try (we did arrive mid morning on a Sat and there were some options already sold out). We selected a ginormous apple fritter, chocolate iced donut and maple iced donut. The donuts are so "fluffy" I could barely get my mouth over the delicious delight to take a bite. The apple fritter the size of a plate. But when you do bite down you are met with delicious flavors, chewy donuts, and sweet flavorful frosting. The donuts appeared to be glazed and then frosted - which makes the donuts super sweet offsetting all the fluff of the donut itself. My favorite was the chocolate donut with a deep chocolaty flavor (not the normal cheap chocolate flavor). I look forward to another trip to try more of their delectable delights. read more

YES!! The. Best. Donuts. So good. So Big. Our family has taken the trip to Midway a couple times just to get Judy's donuts. The drive from Davis County is beatific and Midway is a fun destination. We've tried a good sampling of their donut selection and there honestly hasn't been a donut that didn't meet the 5-star standard. You'll need to hit Judy's early in the day if you want the full selection to choose from. There has been a line each time we visited and the selection gets sparse as the day progresses. Went here twice while visiting in the area. The fritter was hands down the best for deal for both price & consistent flavor (yum!). Both filled donuts (Bavarian Cream & Raspberry) I thought were wonderful (friends thought the Raspberry filling a bit too sweet). The first day the Lemon Poppyseed was yummy & very fresh in texture. The Toffee Nutella toppings was yummy, but the donut texture didn't seem fresh (more like "day-old"), & the donut holes were more dense than we had all expected. The Maple Bar was huge, & I loved the mounds of frosting (a bit too much for a couple of our "not-so-sweet-toothed" friends). The Bavarian Cream was heavenly (got one both days). The second day we got a Lemon Poppyseed (cuz we all loved it so much the first time).... this time it was dry (like daily-old), the same with the Chocolate Cake donut (so sad). The fritter was everyone's fav.... So much so, we went back for a second one! I'll add we were camping nearby, so we warmed the fritter in our toaster oven & served it warm with a light butter drizzle over it...YUMMMMM! We often stop at Judy's when bicycling around the valley, and the coffee and donuts have always been of a high quality. The service is also good, with friendly young people who get both your order and the invoice right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restroom is clean, they have a small amount of indoor seating, and there are also a few outdoor tables and benches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I only like old fashioned cake donuts and an occasional fritter, so I can't comment on the whole selection, but I do enjoy the food. At that price, I'd also have wanted more on the customer service end.
