My fears were all completely misplaced by Charles River Counseling. Jen, the receptionist, is super sweet and upbeat. She is always willing to help and go the extra mile to help clients feel comfortable. I really think that how you are treated by the office staff makes a huge difference in how an office is viewed. Pamela Bourque, the therapist that I chose, is a great listener, and offers a different perspective on issues that are extremely helpful. She is open-minded to alternative lifestyles, and really seems to hear me and want to support me to help me work through my (rather complex) issues. They also offer Doctors to help with psych meds management services, which is also a big bonus for me. Overall, I am really pleased that I have found Charles River Counseling Center.

The Dr spent a lot of time testing in the beginning and showing the results of the tests but there were no plans to retest at the end if 20 sessions. The only thing that was repeated was a very subjective and unreliable survey rating aspects of her symptoms on a scale of 1-5. Dr Ross was sure that my daughters speech had improved when it was clear to all of us that it was no different or even worse that day. This was a huge waste of thousands of dollars.

It took my brain a while, so be patient if you don't see instant results. Dr. Ross continues to be engaging and helpful in our discussions and check-ins. It is clear to me she cares about her clients and is passionate about the work she does (as is everyone in the office). The staff are kind and it is clear they care about each other and the clients. The office is a little hard to find if you are using the googlemaps phone app. You should look for the driveway close to the train tracks then go to the left and down. There are designated parking spots.

The only reason I came here was I was following Doctor Robinson, who was a wonderful therapist and passed away. I stayed because they asked me to anyway, what a nightmare. I got Dr. Marcus who used to work at Carney Hospital. Allegedly he was let go from that place due to something I won't say, but it makes sense why all my prescriptions were confused and called in wrong each and every time. What I'd have to do is go in person because nobody backed him up and put somebody in place to help his patients. I went 2 full days without my medication, and for those who know, our medication needs to be taken, or we could end up in the hospital! Needless to say, it was all my fault not theirs. They accuse me of taking too many? Really? I don't take too many and I did have a reason that's why they were maybe gone, but nobody of her sat down with me and talk to me about my life or what was going on... I would've let them know why but talk to Marcus never knew me... He didn't know where I worked, he didn't know my name, he could care less he was in order taker, and we are the ones who get screwed in the end because we look like junkies if you go to this place you've been warned.

My current distaste is in their applications (I have not been able to reach anyone working in 'intake' on phone). I have NEVER seen a site application page which won't advance even with ALL fields filled in! It seems they have a stipulation to use "chrome" or other MS garbage. Why in god's name??? Sounds more business than standard grade encryption/app. compatibility. I use a Mac, and this is 100% garbage MIS protocol, which shows me they are not "user friendly" in any business sense. Kind of a rock and a rock place next to the nice view of Charles River...hell, I wanted 'remote' so scratch them off my list-you have been advised to do likewise.

He is very responsive with requests and the office is very adhd friendly with me being able to schedule appts online and request refills online. Mariana has a great set-up, she works out of her home, parking is easy and she has a side entrance for her practice so it feels professional and comfortable. For me, the Reiki was very relaxing. I happened to be getting over the flu, so had been experiencing sleepless nights from coughing. I was concerned that as soon as I lay down, I would start coughing, but somehow Mariana's Reiki managed to calm my system down. The energy from her hands did manage to let my body relax, which it hadn't in the past few days due to the flu. I did feel better when I got up to leave! Mariana had some feedback on the energy she was feeling in different areas of my body, and followed up on it with an email explaining the different chakras (energy centers of the body). If you are thinking of giving Reiki a try, I would highly recommend Mariana, she is warm and welcoming and her Reiki gave me a boost when I was dragging!
