I have been searching for a dentist for my family for 2 months. And I happen to come across Dr…read more Galvan's practice via yelp for his other practice in Ontario. His ratings are high so I wanted to give it a try at the Rialto office. The office is very clean and comfortable. Really clean. Maybe because the practice has only been there for over 1 year but its clean! They play movies for the kids to keep them at ease. And they have state of the art dental equipment. The office staff made it extremely easy coming in as new patients. I filled out the paperwork beforehand for my family before coming in for our set appointments. Rose was the one who helped me with my insurance. She told me about my coverage and explained it very patiently and thoroughly. The office staff is very caring, patient, and competent. We only waited 5 minutes to be seen. The longest was 10 min but I came 5 mins late to the appointment that day. I had the pleasure of meeting both the doctors on different days. Dr. Yang is a gentle, caring and a very reassuring doctor. My boys were very pleased with her. One of my sons needed one of his baby molars to be pulled in order to have his permanent molar drop. He was dreading the appt for days. He didn't feel the shot only slight pressure and the extraction was less than 5 minutes. Dr. Yang reassured him but was also honest of what was expected. Dr. Galvan is a gentle, helpful, experienced and personable doctor. He has great technique in his work. He is involved with all aspects of his practice. And yet he does it with ease. He is happy, his staff is happy, which in turn makes happy patients. That's the kind of business I would refer family and friends to. Tip: new patients bring in your insurance card and ID and show up early to fill out paperwork.

However, when I came in for my appointment the inside is beautiful & clean, the staff is so welcoming, and they educated me on my dental hygiene. The inside is nice and modern, they have cozy chairs and massage chairs. There was a lady frequently checking and cleaning the restroom. Those things are important because the dentist can be intimidating so it's important to feel comfortable. The receptionist is nice, I think her name was Aracely! Linda was sooo sweet, she honestly calmed my nerves! She made me feel comfortable, and answered any questions I had. There was also another girl that helped me, I didn't get her name. She was younger with a bun, and she was also so nice. I went in for a consultation and when I was finishing to make my appointment the receptionist was helping me choose a time. Two other workers chimed in to give feedback and their opinion about my appointment. They were able to input their opinion without being rude or belittling the receptionist and to me that shows they have a strong team here, and they other workers are listening and paying attention. So 10/10 teamwork, I'd rather everyone working be in my business suggesting/offering their advice, than going with an appointment time that may not have worked out. I came in for a cleaning, I haven't been to the dentist in years. I also came in for composite bonding. Robin, was the one who did my cleaning and she has great hospitality. She educated me so much on my teeth, and how they were when I went in, and how to maintain them. She pointed out what my previous dentist didn't do correctly, and she gave me in depth reasons as to why it was done improperly and told me how it should be done and she did that for me. Very sweet lady ! And I didn't get the name of the man who did my bonding, but he was nice. During my consultation he gave me a brief explanation about composite bonding and what not to eat. I will say that there was minimal conversation about how I wanted my teeth, I thought they would ask me what my goals were or what look I was going for but they didn't. Before the procedure started I asked him if he could add length to my two front teeth and he said he could maybe add a little length. The procedure was pretty quick maybe an hour, my teeth were done very nice. I did have a breakdown in the car because I wasn't used to them yet tho. After the procedure, we took a quick look he said give it 48 hours then call if I wanted any adjustments or changes, that I can floss don't be afraid to floss like normal, and he left. Super brief convo, I didn't get any aftercare tips or what to expect or anything. So when I got home I was panicking because my front two teeth had no gap, no space to floss. I just assumed it was because it was still freshly done, but even two days later I couldn't get the floss between my front teeth. It's been about two weeks, I still can't get floss inbetween them as easy as my other teeth, I had to force it in between. Over all, great staff, great work

Only got seen to take my x-rays and then was left alone in a room in the back and told someone would be with me shortly. 30min later, I'm looking around and only see 1 doctor, two people in dentist chairs, me in the small room, and a bunch of people in the waiting area outside. I asked someone how many people were in front of me. The lady said "two people...um or maybe just one". This just made me give up and I told her I wanted to reschedule. When she took me to the front to reschedule, I asked her if my insurance would still be charged. She looked and said yes, but just for the x-rays. I asked for a copy of the x-rays and was told it would be a $50 charge for these and then told it would be a $85 charge instead. Never in my adult life, have I had to pay to have my dental x-rays for my records. They are charging my insurance already, so why not just give me the x-rays? Why the need to make even more money out of us? She saw my frustration and said "as a courtesy" she can send them to another doctor's office without charge. Does that mean normally they charge for that too? At that point I just gave up and asked for their contact info and hope to get a more professional place that doesn't book SO many appointments for the same times and respect people's times more. Unfortunately, the other reviews saying that this place only cares about money are right. The doctor heard everything and did not have the decency to come help the poor front desk girl who had to just repeat their policy back to me a million times. 1. Don't charge people for something you are already billing insurance for. This is dishonest and puts people with lower resources and limited time in a very tough spot. 2. Don't book tens of appointments at the same time and have people waiting for long periods of time. If someone is waiting for a long time, BE COMMUNICATIVE and honest and let them know what is going on without them having to hunt someone down for answers. 3. Help out your front desk employees when in a tough conversation. Don't just sit there and watch it happen.

I was able to go in with my daughter for the consultation since I had a question for the dentist. She showed me the X-rays and told me what needed to be worked on.
