I was originally referred to him by a very well-known doctor in the Danville area who is a personal friend. He said that Dr. Brandis is the ONLY doctor I should go to regarding urology issues. After a few appointments, I was impressed. I decided to buy his book titled "The 21st Century Man". Wow, what a book! I didn't just read the book. I grabbed a pen and a highlighter and I studied it. I actually took it to him to show him how deep I had gone. Amazing stuff that our doctors don't tell us. Also, a side benefit of having met him is the fact that he is an expert in ED and rejuvenative medicine. due to his guidance and expertise, I have lost weight, gained muscle, and I'm now sleeping better than I have in the last 20 years. I visited Dr. Brandeis' office for a circumcision revision on October 31, 2024. I was circumcised at the age of eight in the Philippines, which left me with significant scarring, wrinkles, and excess skin that I have always disliked. After conducting some research, I decided to undergo the revision procedure here. The pricing was very affordable compared to other quotes I received in the area, which ranged from $3,500 to $5,000 for a revision, including one estimate from an office in San Diego! It has now been two weeks since the procedure, and I just had my follow-up appointment with Dr. Brandeis to assess the healing process. So far, everything seems to be going very well--there's been no infection, and I am healing nicely. Many of the sutures have already been absorbed, as he uses absorbable sutures, and I must say his suturing skills are remarkable! I'm really glad I chose October 31 for my revision--I'm determined to conquer the No Nut November (NNN) challenge! My consultation and the procedure were done on the same day and took about an hour or so. It was performed under local anesthesia, and I didn't even feel the needle or the injection. Dr. Brandeis mixed lidocaine (an acidic compound) with sodium bicarbonate (a base compound) to neutralize the acidity, which eliminated the stinging and burning sensation during the injection. His office will prescribe you 12 Norco 5mg pills which you can pick up at your local drug store. The pain was tolerable for me, and I did not even pick up the prescription. I took 1000mg of Tylenol every 8 hours for 3 days and those were it. I highly recommend Dr. Brandeis for your circumcision or revision procedure. His staff is very friendly and helped me feel calm and at ease throughout the entire process. read more

I wanted to be in better health, so when I asked my Primary a few things, he answered but also suggested that I see Dr Brandeis in San Ramon. Well, that's my where I live, so I made an appointment. I met 1 on 1 with Dr Brandeis, who I learned was the top Urologist in the Bay Area for 6 years, and now practices as a Men's Health doc. Great! He asked a lot of questions to get to know me and the issues I wanted to address. He ended up showing me a presentation he built. He encouraged me in an extremely credible, sensible, and knowledgeable manner. It was just what I needed and how I needed to be spoken to. I was convinced that the time was NOW to make some changes, a lot of changes. He's also an author of a new book, "21st Century Man". Wow. I'm loving his book! It's way more than a medical "how to". It speaks to me on a "mind, body, spirit" way, being the best man that I can be. Frankly, it's a beautiful read that I will eventually read cover to cover. I've been a patient for just about 5 months. I've lost 35 pounds with 3 more to go for my goal weight, and I've gained muscle. I've had a number of other difficulties, and the procedures have either fixed or I've seen massive improvement and I believe I will be on my way to being "fixed". First off, front desk is professional and responsive. I had circumcision for twice due to some errors on his part. During this time, I got infection. When I complained he agreed to redo it with some cost. We have agreed upon the payment of 500$ but then he couldn't schedule soon enough and the price went up. I would be happy to pay more if the result is satisfactory but even after 4 months post operation, the result is terrible. It is so ridiculous when you have to pay 750$ extra just to get bad experience and services. I do not usually leave review but I do not want others to have the same experience as mine! read more

After doing a bit of research, I decided to get my circumcision here because of the care and intention that Dr. Brandeis seemed to put into his online presence. Also, the idea of doing local anesthesia rather than general was highly appealing to me due to the risks and costs associated with general anesthesia. I couldn't be more happy with my choice and experience. The office staff were helpful and responsive. The office itself felt welcoming, warm, and professional with personal touches that offered a sense of humanity rather than a sterile medical facility. My regular urologist asked me why I--and other men, `continue to waste their money on Dr. Brandeis and his Gains wave treatments` and I told him it's because he told us we could get lasting improvement without pills. But sadly, my regular urologist was right. My money paid to Dr. Brandeis was a lot of wasted dollars. After the 4th treatment I expressed my concern that the treatments had done nothing for me, but he told me that it takes more time and sessions. So, another $1k and 3 sessions later and only then did he tell me to take a test for plaque in arteries. Not only because he literally saved my life by diagnosing prostate cancer after another urologist missed it, but because the combination of his wide-ranging areas of expertise, caring nature, and warm, efficient office staff make being under his care and supervision a very confidence-building experience and relationship. The worst part is this is the second visit we had and the first visit was even worse, 2 hours to even be ushered into an exam room. I was very sick for a year and a half while under the care of a local Urologist. I had a couple kidney stones trapped in my Ureter during this time, not to mention there was a blockage in my Ureter, which was not allowing the stones to pass freely. I was getting Kidney Infection after Kidney Infection for the whole year and a half and constantly taking very strong antibiotics and pain medication. I was very sick off and on for a year and a half and the stones did not pass. The Urologist that I was seeing locally for a year and half, did not address the issue except to tell me to keep drinking lots of water. Finally, after a year and a half, I was sick of being sick. My daughter decided to call Pacific Urology (which was 70 miles away) to see if they would be an option for me to get the help I needed. I called Pacific Urology and explained what was going on and that I needed to find a Urologist that would help me. Right off, the person that I spoke with seemed genuinly concerned with my issue and very compassionate as well. She right away set me up with an appt with Dr. Judson Brandeis. When I arrived for my initial appt. with Doctor Brandeis, I was treated very nicely and the staff seemed to be very professional and on top of everything. I knew I was in the right place and maybe I would get some help. I waited only a few minutes and then brought back to the exam room.It was only a two minute conversation with Dr. Brandeis, then he said to me, that my problem was easily corrected, and he then led me to the proper staff for them to go ahead and get the ball rolling for surgery to remove the stones. I could not believe that I was finally going to be helped! Pacific Urology did all the pre-authorization through my insurance company. I had the surgery within a couple weeks and I feel great! Everything went seamless. Dr. Brandeis removed the two stones that were caught in my Ureter as well as removed a lump that may have caused the stones from passing freely. He also had everything biopsied and it all came out okay, not cancerous. My year and half ordeal had ended. Dr. Brandeis has got to be the best Urologist around and he is most definitly on top of his game as is his staff he has surrounded himself with. I cannot thank Pacific Urology enough, especially Dr. Brandeis. I would highly recommend Dr. Brandeis to anyone that has to see a Urologist, he is the BEST! read more

Same complaints as everyone (waiting forever in office, rude, sarcastic doctor, cold, etc.) except one thing. He violently violated me (doing a "procedure") in a cold sadistic manner while staring me in the eyes while I told him what he was doing was excruciatingly painful and begged him to please stop. After the third time asking him to stop he finally did. I was initially embarrassed, but I have recently been considering legal action, as he evidently crossed the line over and over again with my wife as witness. She later described it as witnessing "rape". I was in tears. Please do not support this person for your own sake. read more

I usually do not give reviews but the way I was treated by both the office staff and this doctor needed to be shared. I arrived 10 min early for ny appt waited while they helped another patient filled out paperwork and handed it in 5 min after my appt time. I sat in the waiting room for one hour when they called me to the front desk to inform me it would be at least one more hour as I needed to wait for two more patients to be seen because my paperwork was turned in late!!!!! I rescheduled and when I came back the doctor was incredibly rude and treated me with sarcasm. Very unprofessional. I wish I would have viewed his reviews first as it seems others have had issues here as well. I think he must have paid someone off to get doctor of the year awards. In 45 years of going to a doctor I have never been treated this way. Oh and he ran a urine culture before my appt and his staff never notified me they sent in a prescription. I get a call from Walgreens thinking its a mistake. Nope he called me in only 5 days worth of a required 14 day course for a bacteria that can kill you thru septicemia. Unbelievable.... had to find a doctor quickly to continue medication as stopping mid course can cause the bacteria to flourish and become resistant. Experience has not been great.. they don't call back when they say they will. The dr. needs to see you to say, it's time to schedule another CT Scan. But the worst was having my husband do a biopsy at the hospital and it was not conclusive. Ok.. maybe that wasn't Brandeis' fault but when we went in to find out if my husband had cancer or not, Brandeis sits down and starts reading his file. We had to wait two weeks to hear whether or not he has cancer and the Dr. decides to open the file for the first time when we got there? Then he needed to ask a question to the person who did the biopsy so he didn't even give us an answer that day. Anyway.. has not been good. Seems like he is the only Dr in the area that specializes in kidney problems. read more

Before my surgical procedure (Prostiva) even with medication (Proscar), I still was having urination problems as a result of an enlarged prostrate. Dr. Brandies did a great job of reviewing the pros and cons of the Prostiva procedure. I chose the procedure based on his extensive experience over the years performing this particular procedure. I have to say, it's the best decision I ever made. Dr. Brandies was careful to review what I could expect during and after the operation so there were no surprises. Also, his staff was great. Started peeing blood clots one day. Rushed to Pacific Urology to see Dr. Brandeis. They couldn't see me. Referred me to the ER where they took care of me and said to schedule a follow-up appointment with Dr. Brandeis in a few days which I did. After sitting in the waiting room for an hour beyond my appointment time I was asked if I had gotten a CT scan. I said "no". They said the CT scan people were supposed to have called me to schedule an appointment. Shouldn't someone from Pacific Urology have called me to tell me what was going on? Said Dr. Brandeis couldn't see me until I had the CT scan. I said I wasn't leaving until I saw Dr. Brandeis. When I did and asked him why he hadn't communicated with me about my blood clot issue he said that he prefers to only communicate via email...apparently no message you leave for him gets passed on. As a patient I expect my doctor to at least acknowledge he/she is aware that I have a problem. Since this appointment I have been contacted by Pacific Urology to change my next appointment indicating Dr. Brandeis is no longer associated with their practice. Hmmm. read more

Dr. Judson Brandeis performed a cystoscopy on me, which went very quick, was easy, and best of all quite painless. I was prepped, inspected, and had my results discussed all in about 30 minutes.
