After doing a quick search of the area, this place came up as the highest rated spot in Windcrest. Luckily, it wasn't too far away either. We were greeted promptly right when we entered, and were told we can sit anywhere we wanted. The place appeared clean, was a decent size and it was about half full with other patrons. Our waitress soon arrived to take our drink orders and provide menus. Ultimately I decided to have a bean and cheese, and a chorizo and potato. Our order was brought out a few minutes later. They have green salsa in bottles on the table, but the waitress offered us red salsa as well. She brought out the red salsa but it was more like salsa ranchera. I rolled with the green salsa on both my tacos. I started off with the potato and chorizo. Personally, I didn't think it had much flavor, even after adding salsa. I enjoyed the bean and cheese more. The beans had good flavor and there was a fair amount of cheese. The tortillas were fantastic. Not sure when I will make it back since I live on the opposite side of town. But would visit again if I happened to visit Windcrest.

One order as a beef enchilada plate served with a sweet tea and a lemon margarita. The other was a crispy beef tacos...both plates served with rice and beans. The rice was perfectly cooked - not over done and no little crispy grains of rice. The beans were as well very good. The salsa served with the chips was very good...not overly spicy but definitely not bland either. The service was well noted from the moment we came in. A nice young lady talked to us like she knew us and was our friends. She said she was working the drive thru but gave us some menu suggestions. She helped with English/Spanish translation which we very much appreciated. Our server was so sweet and even tho there was a slight language barrier it was absolutely not an issue. She came with the nicest smile and even tho we didn't get her name I'm sure she knows who she is. Our receipt says Alicia and I hope she knows that we appreciated her. The portions were big enough that there was enough left over to bring home and eat later. The restaurant was clean, neat and tidy.
