Primarily used for sports games or tourneys: baseball, soccer, and football. It's lined with massive eucalyptus trees that have aged with the park, they're simply beautiful. There is a nice playground at the very back end of the park, against the neighboring school. It's behind the fence barrier, therefore kids are mostly safe from any flying baseballs, soccer balls or other. There are also basketball courts next to the kids playground. This used to have a swimming pool. The pool is still there, but is now considered part of the recreational gym that was built onsite, on the park premises. It is open to the public during certain seasons.

Many families did not get what they paid for and were not told about it until the season was to have started already. Kids join to play and practice in their neighborhood with friends. Putting them as fillers in teams from different neighborhoods is a bad move that left my kid ignored at practices and treated differently because he isn't from around that neighborhood. I am sure not all MLL families got the shaft but wonder how the agents decided who would get the shaft.

The views are beautiful, especially in the early morning or at sunset, and it never feels overly crowded. It has a calm, local Ventura vibe that I really appreciate. I've also brought kids I nanny here for walks and fresh air (sticking to the easier areas), and it's such a great space to reset. One thing to note: when it's hot, be cautious of snakes on the trails--proper shoes and awareness are important. If you're looking for a reliable, scenic place to hike in Ventura that locals truly love, Arroyo Verde Park is a must.

Negatives: So many dog owners are complacent about their dogs here- they let them roam around and poop wherever and don't pick it up! It's ridiculous. I'm a dog owner myself and used to let my little dog off leash here occasionally, but after realizing there is a lot of unpredictable behavior from dogs and their owners, I don't bring her here that often anymore (unless there are not that many people)! So use caution when bringing your dog / dogs here. Trails can get super hot. Bring lots of water!

What truly sets Kim apart is how deeply she cares about her players as people. She consistently goes above and beyond for her athletes, especially when they are going through personal challenges. She creates an environment where players feel supported, encouraged, and genuinely valued. It's rare to find a coach who is so invested in the overall well-being of every player on her team. One of the most memorable examples of her dedication was the Hawaii tournament. Kim took it upon herself to organize fundraising opportunities to help families offset the cost of the trip. She devoted countless hours outside of practices and tournaments to make sure as many players as possible had the opportunity to experience something so special. There is a chiropractor/stretching & conditioning coach (Dr Darren Carter) who works with girls in training as well. There is a small weight room for strengthening and two, clean blue courts to practice volleyball. Worth checking it out and keeping active & fit :)

His classes are always full (20bikes), his vibes are on TAP, and his music selection is aways on fire. I started taking spin class at the beginning of the year and was buying the one-day passes, within three classes I purchased the 10 class pass, and I am going to renew it with the 20 pass class. Many has music from rap/hip hop, Latin, and even edm. My first class he welcome me and asked me if I'd taken classes before -which I did at my local gym. He still took the time to show me how to set the bike and gave me a quick tutorial of the hand placements. His bikes are always clean, the studio smells amazing, he has plenty of cubies for your items, and you can even borrow some shoes if you don't have any. To top it all off, the studio is next to a juice bar- for all the healthy people. Come by and try it out, best spin class in the 805.
