Highly recommend. Twelve pickle ball courts. Free usage, clean and safe. Easy to get to and in a nice location.

I'm new to pickle ball, I come from zero sports ball background so unlike many - I do not have a…read moretennis background which helps when starting this game. That being said, I'm invested, I'm trying, I'm putting in my time to get better and improve my game. I've been playing for about 2 months. My guy was a junior tennis champ so he's got this even if he's newer to the game. We were on vacation for our anniversary and brought our paddles to play while away from home - keep that practice up! We saw this place is $5/pp for the day to park and use the facilities - deal! 12 courts are dedicated to pickle ball at the far end of the park after the tennis courts. Everyone was so intense on their game play that no one wanted even entertain playing with the newbie (me). I don't need people to play, I'm out there for my own game too, we had an awesome practice. The courts are exceptionally maintained and separated. My grip, one guy felt it necessary not once but TWICE to share with me how much he thought we were wasting space on the court since no one wanted to play with us. Here's the thing, everyone has to start somewhere and you know what - I felt awesome that day even though this guy tried to steal my sunshine. He got more real estate than he deserves but sharing for other new players, don't let people like this get you down. You deserve to practice and try just as much as someone who does it "better". Courts are beautiful, bathroom is available through a code but don't come here looking for a community vibe unless you can bring the A game for play. They aren't messing around and not interested if you are anywhere below that threshold. Noted, and heard - message received loud 'n clear. This is not the place to go when looking for some Grace from other players.

I've belonged to most of the athletic clubs on the west side of town over the years. This is by far…read morethe best of the full-service ones. It is well-maintained and does a wonderful job of responding to a diverse population's needs. Complaints that are irrelevant or opposed to the needs of the rest of the membership are treated respectfully. Outliers feeling free to tell the management to accommodate their own personal desires as if the club belonged exclusively to them speaks volumes about how personal this club feels: vibes of a family reunion without a drunk uncle and his entitled wife.

Swell sucks. I've complained about people talking during aqua aerobics class 4 times now, and the…read moreclub just does not care. From Jeremiah (asst mgr) to front desk guy to Eric (general mgr), none of them care or follow through. Eric said he was going to come to class every day for a week and read the rules to the class (which include no talking during class), and start kicking people out of the pool if they were talking. He didn't show up once. All he did was post the rules on the locker room door, which at least makes it easier to turn to someone in the pool and say "there's no talking during class." I wrote Eric a second email regarding the issue and he said "you've got to be patient. It takes time for things to change." Not good enough. I'm extremely disappointed in Swell and in Eric Geeb, the general manager. Edited to add: I mentioned to Eric that I did enjoy my training session with Danny and Eric offered to comp my next session with Danny in return for my disappointment over Aqua aerobics. I thought that was very nice of Eric.
