I saw the DEI hire Dr. Shi for a nevus in my right eye. They took photos but when Dr. Shi looked at the photos my nevus was not entirely visible. Dr. Shi stated my nevus looked "fine". I asked her in her years of medical schooling did they teach that the ENTIRE nevus should be visible so that you can properly look at the margins and shape. I asked her that and she stuttered and said we can take new photos. Pathetic, so sick and tired of horrible service in the USA.

When I asked to see the Dr, the assistant said no. I have now wasted a lot of my time and do not know anything that I didn't already know before. Dr Bidar was so kind and I was assured of a successful recovery because he has performed thousands of these operations. The aftercare has been wonderful, and everyone comments on how rested I look. The physical results are perfect, but my main reason to do this was to improve my vision. I was shocked at once by how clear it is again, and I don't have to keep raising my eyebrows to see well. I recommend him 100%. He does Botox as well. You can find him at Vantage Eye Care in Monterey and Salinas. The staff is also excellent and very easy to work with.

My appointment was scheduled over two months in advance. When they called a few days prior, I verified everything necessary before I attended the appointment, to ensure I wouldn't waste my valuable time. Nevertheless, I took an Uber to my appointment, which caused issue in locating it, as the company name isn't apparent outside. So walking up and downstairs to locate it, after the car dropped me at the wrong address in the first place, I found them. Inside, after surrrendering my insurance cards, I was informed by an overseer that additional monies were necessary for the appointment. There was no offer to bill me, reschedule, or even investigate what happened. Whatever "training" they do or don't have, obviously is void of customer service.

They treat you like a person, not a transaction. This is a practice that clearly puts everything back into patient care. You feel it the moment you walk in. I won't go anywhere else, especially not the boutique-y places that prioritize their lavish lifestyles over patient care.

Prior to visiting Dr. Neunzig, I received two very badly botched lens prescriptions from a different optometrist at a different company in Monterey. So, based on my neighbor's recommendation, I sought out Dr. Neunzig. Boy, was I glad I did! He had no problem at all in refracting my eyes for new lenses. I have the new glasses now and my vision in both eyes is better than 20/20! I am beyond happy to be able to see clearly again! I plan to continue seeing Dr. Neunzig for future checkups and refractions. I highly recommend Pacific Grove Optometric Center.
