She is patient, kind, listens well to what I want and always adds her expertise to how we can make things even better. I always walk out looking ten times better than when I walked in. I'm an adventurous spirit when it comes to my hair and she had to fix up a few messed up cut and colorings from other places for me. She never complains about my crazy choices and even if I don't come in often during a certain period, she always greets me with grace and positive energy. I got a wonderful hair cut from Danny! I found out about this place through a Living Social deal that included a treatment, cut, and blow dry. I love the way my hair looks and feels! I always worry they'll cut it too short when I ask for a fringe, but Danny did it perfectly. I wasn't aware of this, but the deal doesn't include straight ironing, which I'm so used to getting after a cut (and which I love getting at a salon because my hair is so thick!) but Danny gave me a great wavy style with the blow dry. read more

Terra Shapiro is TERRABLE!!!! DO NOT GO TO HER. DO NOT BE FOOLED by her social media pictures or good reviews on here. Let me tell you why... September 7th, 2016, was my first, and last experience with Terra. I found her through social media, because she claimed to be the 'best of the best'. We had a consult through the phone because she does consults through "text only". She told me that she has been specializing in hair, and blondes preferably, for 15 years. She had pictures to back it up. She assured me that she was the person for the job. She told me through text that I looked like a super model and she thinks I would look amazing with Icy blonde hair. She sent me more images from her Instagram of clients and told me that she took them from dark hair to light hair in one visit, which I thought was somewhat impossible to do. I expressed the health of my hair was number one since I have been growing it out for months in preparation for this transformation. Terra misrepresented her self and told me she was the best at what she did but fooled me! She sold me and I handed her my trust and she took advantage of me like you wouldn't believe. While I was in her chair, she was completely disrespectful. She talked down to me, she ignored me, she was rough with her application and disregarded my expressions of pain and discomfort. She was on her phone texting, and left to go to her "car" multiple times. She also ordered pizza and was gossiping with another stylist at one point. I walked into her salon with a whole head of long healthy hair and walked out with a MULLET!! She over-bleached and pushed my hair past its limit because she was completely CARELESS and frankly, didn't give a fuck. I have waited a month to post on here because I have been trying to emotionally cope and salvage what I have left of my hair! She took my trust and completely botched my hair! Now I have to wear my hair in bandanas and I am so devastated. PLEASE, I beg you not to go to her. Message me on here and I will provide you with a full 14 page document about my experience with Terra. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!! My review is for Terra Shapiro. I'm going to write a long and very honest review of my experiences at this salon and with Terra's services. The first time I saw Terra I would have given her 5 stars, the second 3 stars, the third 2 stars and the last visit negative 10 stars. I'm really not sure why there is such inconsistency in the services she is providing. The first visit I was very happy with how blonde she was able to make me (although I was already very blonde, I just wanted it to be a little lighter and consistent throughout). There are some major negative aspects of every visit with her though, it is true that it is the worst shampoo you could imagine, it's a bit like she is washing the dishes in a sink, you will get soaked and your makeup will run down your face and it will not be comfortable. The blow out is the worst you will ever get, she will bang the brush on your head and drag a round brush from the root though and tell you keep your head still!!! So this really does require you to tense your neck muscles to keep your head still whilst she drags a brush through tangled hair. She will throw dye and bleach on your head like there is no care and screw up foils like a piece of garbage in your hair. Lastly when you are trying to describe what you want and show pictures she will have lack of interest and be texting so you feel very worried that maybe she didn't get what you wanted.....but all this can be overlooked for a great dye job right?! This was so on the first visit, I was extremely uncomfortable with all of the above but it came out good so I thought ok this is just how it is, however I did not show her a picture of what I wanted I just described it and it was one color so it perhaps was not that difficult. The third visit I had asked for darker at the root and showed a picture from my pinterest of it, and showed several hair ideas all within the same theme and the end result was nothing like it, however I was still very blonde, just with more of a brass root. I was not pleased but I stupidly thought maybe it was me and I was not clear enough I what I wanted, so a few months later for my forth visit I texted her photos in advance of a more extreme version of my idea for the third visit. I asked on text can this be done in one visit or do we need two.....this can absolutely be done on one visit, she replies. So now let's go to my forth visit and the worst hair experience of my life. I had previously texted Terra a picture, but at the salon I had showed her other pictures and talked about what I wanted which to me is ombre , you decide, I'm going to attach the photo below. She asked, this ladies hair looks lighter in some and darker in some, shall we go with the lighter one or darker one. Lighter one! But granted she was texting whilst we were talking so perhaps she didn't really get what I wanted. First she dyed my whole head red. I was extremely worried and thinking, why would you dye my hair red when half the hair is blonde in the picture and I am already blonde!? But I trusted her. Next we did the brown or should I say black with red hints. Then the blonde ... or should I say pink, silver and red with a side of burnt and frazzled ends. I am completely lost for words on the end result. My hair is not a bad version of the picture; it is a terrible dye job. It looks like I found a picture, went the rite aid and bought what I thought I needed to create this and did an at home self-dye. It looks like hair you would turn up to a salon and say I tried to dye my hair myself, please help. I cannot believe she let me leave the salon like this, there is no way she could think this was good or acceptable. It feels a bit like she on purpose sabotaged my hair! My hair looks like someone set the ends on fire, and having had a consultation I need 2.5 inches taken off after the visit with her (note that I had 3 inches of hair taken off 2 weeks before my visit with Terra so my hair was in great condition). I will need 3 visits with another colorist to color correct and reach what I wanted in the picture which could have been done in one visit. I was already blonde! I am so hurt and disappointed that someone can claim they are "a celebrity and expert hair colorist" and even let me leave the salon in this state of hair. Lastly, I did express to Terra on the day that it looked nothing like the picture and she said "what are you talking about your hair is practically white"....well I didn't ask for white hair. I was so unhappy on the day but I was afraid that anything else added onto my hair and it would be gone. I sent Terra a message a day later telling her how unhappy I was and that I have pink streaks and she didn't even reply. Poor business skills. I spent $300 to then spend more than double to fix it. As I look over the other reviews I realize now, I'm not the only person who has been treated badly by the owner. He is a very hostile man. If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased a deal from lifebooker, I called made an appointment, was asked where I purchased my deal from. I told the man on the phone it was from lifebooker, later finding out that it was the owner I spoke with. He gave me a cell phone number to a stylist and told me to text that person to set up an appointment. I did. When I arrived to my appointment the stylist asked what I wanted done. I said I have a lifebooker for a full foil and haircut. He looked confused and asked is it for a partial? I said no and pulled out the certificate. He said the lifebooker was for a specific stylist (which up until now no one had mentioned). I was unaware that it was a specific stylist since it doesn't actually say that on the lifebooker and when I called they didn't ask who it was for. He said he would need to talk to the owner about what he wanted to do. The stylist came back after a few minutes and said that he couldn't honor the lifebooker because he didn't want to steal a client from the other stylist as he didn't want it to hurt their relationship. I said well this shouldn't even be an issue because I'm the customer and now I'm being put in a tight situation. I need my hair done for a few events next week. He said there was nothing he could do. I said well than I'll just get a refund I don't want to have to wait for another appointment since I've already wanted for a week and wasted my time today. He said I would have to contact lifebooker for a refund. I said well since I have to pay to have my hair done somewhere else I just want to get a refund now. He said he couldn't, I than asked to speak to the owner. The owner came to speak with me and said that this lifebooker has nothing to do with his salon that its for that specific hairstylist. I asked why than when I called didn't anyone ask who that coupon was for. He said that it clearly states on the lifebooker who its for (it doesn't). I said I didn't understand that and your salon is listed on the lifebooker coupon, when you click the link it takes you to your salon. He than asked to see the lifebooker and said he thought this had been cleared up (leading me to believe I'm not the only person who has had this issue). As I was pulling out the coupon. He said "I don't have time for this, you need to leave and kicked me out of the salon. Causing a huge scene and embarrassing me infront of the other customers. He was extremely rude and unwilling to come to any kind of solution. His body language was threatening and I am completely in shock with the way I was treated. I would recommend NEVER doing business with this salon. I can't believe that what just took place was real. I've never in my life been treated so terribly. I will never recommend this salon to anyone. I am completely appalled at the owners hostility and lack of professionalism. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would, that's how bad my experience with Terra Shapiro turned out to be. My friend found her on Facebook and decided to book an appointment and I decided to tag along for a hair trim. We got to the salon and I immediately noticed from the way she responded to my friend's efforts to make conversation that she wasn't a genuinely nice person, but who cares its about the hair skills right? When I got in the chair, I told her I wanted a trim and asked if she could raise my ombre along with putting in some face framing highlights. Well, she first started with my friend who even took time to show Terra a photo of one of her own prevous client's hair to say she wanted the same. During the coloring, I noticed Terra kept telling us how she works fast compared to other hairdressers (my skepticism thought she may be saying this to rush us out). I have been to my fair share of salons and I was puzzled that she did not even bother to put on a base color and most importantly she looked like she was haphazardly throwing random foils of bleach on our hair and just scrunching the foil up like a pieces of trash in our hair. It was bizarre, but with her telling us how she works with celebrities and how she is so good at what she does, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Next, she literally only kept the foil in for max 15-20 mins, having Asian hair, I was surprised that it took that little amount of time to lift my hair. Then while at the sink, she twice bumped my head with her fist while taking the foils out and joked, "beauty is pain!" I have to say this was the worst shampooing experience ever and when she said she put the toner in, I honestly felt like nothing was put in my hair because my hair didn't have that saturated feeling that I usually had with previous toner treatments. We go back to the chair and I noticed my friend's hair still looked dark but now with brassy highlights. Then I look at mine and also notice that the intended face framing highlights were orangey and oddly placed. But, I wanted to wait till it was dry to see the color. I specifically told her I had anxiety with hair cutting and only wanted a trim, however she decided to chop off my hair, which I honestly felt like was so that she could charge me for a cut rather than trim. The obnoxious thing is, the whole time me and my friend were there, she kept either talking about her self or majority of time looking at her phone, however when we were almost done, she started giving us fake compliments like how we both had great hair, how we looked like VS models...in the end, me and my friend were afraid to say anything cause we never experienced something like this, but when we both got to the car, we vented how everything about our hair looked wrong, let alone she charged us both a ridiculous amount for the rushed work. My friend contacted Terra immediately and went in the next day to fix her hair, however she ended up having an even worse experience with additional brassy highlights and no trace of toner, but worst of all my friend called me upset saying how Terra kept making her feel uncomfortable, blaming her for not saying anything before leaving the first time, and telling my friend that she gave the wrong information about what she wanted...really? My friend showed a photo to Terra of her own work!! What more information did she need?!! Basically, I did my research on what the heck happened to my hair and finally went to another salon that was able to validate what I thought: 1) she didn't keep the bleach in long enough to lift my black hair, 2) no toner was put in my hair, 3) my once full hair became sparse ends because of the reckless job she did hacking at it and creating a choppy layered mess. I used to have Juan cut my hair for years, but he always seemed to do it just a little bit wrong. I would ask him on each subsequent visit to correct the problem, and things would go well for a while, but then he'd mess up something else. So based off of someone else's hair color that I liked, I decided to make a appointment with Terra for a color correction and extentions. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said it would be simple to fix the color. I wanted to go blonde and I had a weird strawberry color from a previous salon I went to - she ended up coloring it and told me while washing my hair sloppy about the celebrities she worked with and how many years she's been doing hair. Some of the color came out brassy and she told me I needed to come back in for a touch-up. I wore the hair the way it was for a few weeks and just bought the purple shampoo to tone the brassy color down. After a few weeks of the blonde I called to set a appointment to go back to brunette. I showed her the picture of what color I wanted and she added the color and I turned out to have black hair rather than the dark chocolate color I wanted. I wasn't really satisfied with it and my ends were so damaged and dry. A few days later I washed my hair and I could not believe after I deep conditioned my hair, it turned out so nappy and tangled. I couldn't comb my brush or hands through my hair. I had to rip and pull my hair apart to separate it into sections to comb each part out! I had a sink covered in huge knots of hair. I was so upset I called and texted Terra! After two days waiting for Terra to respond, I decided to call another salon and this lady was so nice and made me feel so comfortable about the situation, she saved my hair! read more

Terra Shapiro is absolutely AMAZING! I have naturally black hair so the roots get pretty harsh! Also the previous salon I went to made my hair look more ash brown than blonde! I have mixed feeling about this salon. My first initial experience on the phone with Juan was fantastic. He took the time to talk to be about what I was looking for, give his suggestions and what not. He is a very personable guy which I liked a lot. I brought in a picture and unfortunately the outcome looked nothing like it. I express my feeling about it being too dark and he said to give it a few days and see if it lightens up. If not to give him a call and he could fix it. (Me thinking yeah right, I've heard horror stores of people being snubbed for wanting something fixed). The next day I just really wasn't happy with how dark it was and due to a time crunch I was under I called him. He was more then willing to have me come in as soon as possible. But life being as it may, got in the way and I couldn't get in until the next week. He did in fact fix it and it looks more like the picture I brought in. I was glad he stood behind his work. Oh, besides the color fiasco the cut was great! I wanted to keep as much length as possible, even though it probably could have used a couple more inches, but he definitely listened to that. For him and his work i would give 4 starts. The fact that I had to come back gives him 3. I know no one can get it spot on every time but I did pay a lot of money for a certain outcome and did not get it. I am giving this 2 stars because I definetly feel "MEH" about this place. I have yet to find a stylist in LA (despite living here for 10 years). My co-worker recommended Jesse Anatole, so I made an appointment and went in. I dressed in my normal clothes (vintage dress and cardigan) hoping he could get a sense of my style aesthetic. My hair is a natural dark blonde, so I just needed a cut. I showed him some pics, which is what I showed my stylist in OC, who delivered exactly what I wanted. We went to the bowl to wash my hair. Boy, what a cramped place to be. "Watch your head, lots of people hit it on this piece of art" Um, okay. I am at a salon... I would like a luxurious experience. Not to worry about tucking my feet in as far as possible so they don't get stepped on, or my knees bumped. Or lacerating my head on an unnecessary piece of art that sticks out from the wall in an already cramped space. Anyway, Jesse really takes his time. He doesn't talk much (at least not to me). He kind of seemed aloof. When he cut my bangs, I told him I liked a blunt cut, retro. He totally textured them, so my bangs made me look like Taylor Swift. When I called him on it, he said "I like bangs more modern". Well, I asked for them retro. Apparently, that didn't matter though Overall, I was really unhappy with the cut, and the environment. I WISH THAT I COULD BE JESSIE'S GIRL!! ok, that was incredibly lame and very much like carbon dating, but wow, is he (and by "he" i mean jessie) GOOD. i was in desperate need of a haircut and jessie delivered one that was gorgeous and an experience that was unforgettable. ok, first things first, the salon is a no-frills kind of salon. there's no fancy reception area or complimentary wine. but what you DO get is a great service and personal attention. you do not get handed off from the receptionist to the stylist to the shampoo person. there is no assembly line. your stylist takes care of you from start to finish. now back to jessie. he asked me what i wanted out of a cut and what my lifestyle was like. i told him i needed a wash and go cut because i (as anyone who knows me will attest) am lazy. i made a couple of suggestions and he guided me towards a cut that was realistic with my hair lifestyle of zero maintenance and effort. then he delivered a cut that was beautiful. there's a million and one salons in los angeles and a million and one stylists. unless the person is an idiot, most of them can probably give a good haircut. what makes jessie special is his attitude. he has none. instead, he has a tranquility and presence that is really inspiring. he's one of the most positive people that i've met in a long time. and not in a saccharine or fake way. being from la i can be snarky with the best of them, but within 15 minutes of meeting jessie i figured out that he did not and would not say a bad thing about anything. he was always smiling, very soft spoken, and every word out of his mouth was positive and pleasant. his graciousness, poise, and maturity was so surprising at 27. and inspiring. since meeting him weeks ago i've been more conscientious about the things i say and have made more of an effort to be less critical and more positive. jessie, if you want to leave me your address my friends and family would like to send you checks and gifts of gratitude. :P read more

I originally discovered Juan because his salon is a short walk from my apartment, conveniently right across the street from Ralph's. And now I will happily return to him for every single cut as long as he is open. In my two visits, I have asked him to give me two entirely different cuts for projects that I'm working on and he has delivered with masterful results. So much so I can't go more than a couple interactions without someone commenting on my hairstyle. He's old school in the sense that he doesn't concern himself with social media and "how many followers" he has. I purchased a voucher for a Cut, Deep Conditioning + Blow out from lifebooker.com. I initially called the salon to book my appointment and a man answer. I had a different, more pleasant experience than some other folks that bought vouchers for this salon. The man gave me the number to the specific stylist that would honor the voucher and book with her. So I did. Her name was Nicolette. I called first and left a message. I then text and our communication was all text after that (probably recommend texting than calling). I was able to book that same weekend. When I arrived, she was very welcoming and I had no issues at all with the voucher. She honored the entire service that the voucher covered. She was super friendly and sweet. Above all, she did a great job cutting my curly layered hair! She did however, did the blow-out first because she felt more comfortable cutting my hair when it was straight than curly. At first, that made me think she wasn't good with curly hair. But after all was said and done, she did a great job. After washing my hair at home and getting it back to its curly state, it looked healthy and it still looked long (I've had stylist mistaken "please take only an inch off" to "oh, you want it super short"). My hair feels great now that all the dead ends are cut off and it feels nice and full. I was very happy with Nicolette's service. Definitely recommend her for your next hair appointment. Really quickly about the actual location....it was super cute spot. Very clean. I did not really encounter any of the others so can't comment if people were nice or rude. But overall, didn't see anything off in there. Everyone seemed cool. Parking was a bit of a hassle. But other than that, everything was all good! read more

I am writing to recommend Danny at Juan A Salon in Sherman Oaks. I purchased a Living Social deal to this salon back in January and waited until the last minute to finally use it. When I called, Juan recommended Danny so I set up an appointment with him. Danny goes above and beyond with customer service, as he called me back on the 4th of July to suggest a date/time, and then called me the day of the service to make sure I was still coming. I was very impressed. The parking is a little difficult near the Salon. It's best to park in the neighborhood and make the short walk to the salon, if street parking isn't available. There is a restaurant next door with valet. They charge $3, but the valet told me I could park the car with him for $5. A nice $2 mark up since I wasn't eating at the restaurant - no thank you. The salon is a nice bungalow style, separated into two buildings. It has a nice, open feel to it and everyone who worked there greeted me. Danny was super nice and personable. Unlike many hair stylists I've seen in the past, he listened to me and what I wanted, instead of just doing what he thought was best. I showed him a photo and instead of saying 'that won't work on you' he asked 'What do you like about that look?' I told him the layers and he mentioned that the woman in the photo had much thicker, denser hair than I do, and that he could definitely work on the layers in my hair to add volume in a similar way. He is very knowledgable and I really liked that. At the shampoo bowl Danny asked me what types of products I use. I was worried at first because the last thing I wanted was to be sold on product. I answered honestly and braced for the recommendations - but he didn't make any. I was relieved. I came in to clean up my shape (keeping the length) but Danny said that I would have to take my length up a bit in order to fix a bad haircut I had received previously (the length of the layers were not right). I was very pleased when he was done. He kept conversations light and made it very easy to talk to him. He worked quickly, but not too quickly. I loved his honesty: when I asked him if I needed to come back every 6 weeks, as most salons suggest, he said no, I could see him in three months, especially since I was trying to grow out the length. He also said I could come in from time to time for a bang trim at no charge! He was not trying to push product, or get more money out of me, and in a recession I really respected that. It seems rare to find such a gem in a salon! It makes me think all the stylists at Juan A Salon must operate similarly! I will certainly go to Danny again in the future! Danny is AMAZING, really and truly! You know how the first time you try a salon or a stylist, it can be a bit nerve-wracking? On my first (but certainly not my last) visit to Juan A Salon, I spent a couple of hours in the chair feeling cool as a cucumber (!) because not only does Danny listen to the client and work to fully grasp their requests, he continually checks in to make sure he's doing a good job. Never before have I had a stylist hold a lock of my hair toward the ends and ask, "May I cut this?" Danny's confident in his talent without commandeering the whole process, and that's really, really refreshing. He's also really fun to talk to, and knows 100% what he's doing. Plus, the space is really homey, comfortable and clean. The vibe is relaxed, the music was good, and the pricing was fair. I paid a bit more than I expected to, but I also got way more than I expected to--a layered cut and full highlights, plus an ash toner to cool down the brassiness. Terra is my favorite find in LA. I came here from Miami thinking no one could master blonde like my previous hairdresser of the decade before. Fortunately, I was wrong. OMG! Just had the most amazing experience at Juan A Salon. My stylist was Jesse. He is beyond AWESOME! Extremely genuine and friendly I can't say enough good things about him. Such a nice guy and very talented. Go see him! Seriously! My boyfriend got me a Living Social voucher for Cut, Keratin treatment, Blow out and Style, and getting my "do" discounted did not effect the quality of my hairstyle or lessen Jesse's attention to detail. Going in my hair was a damaged mess. He was able to get it looking amazing without having to hack most of it off ( it was super, super damaged). I absolutely love it. This salon is no drama. I'm reviewing my experience with Terra at the Juan A Salon. It was sincerely a fantastic experience and I am so happy with the results. I've been consumed with work over recent months and relocating to a different part of the city. My hair turned into a mess. It's been neglected and unloved and a friend recommended that I see Terra to give me a fix that would really boost my confidence. First, the salon is really great. Well designed with nice lighting and gorgeous chandeliers. They play good music and it generally just has a very friendly atmosphere. My hair had turned a sort of mousy color and felt blahh. I heard that Terra does a great ombre, but I was open to suggestions. She thought an ombre would go great with my skin tone and put some life back on my head, so we went for it. The whole process was extremely fast, definitely quicker than my other experiences. I was pleasantly surprised to still have so much of my afternoon left. Of course, she trimmed my hair and got rid of the split ends, and did a magnificent job of cutting and styling. Overall, I'm just extremely happy with how it turned out. I'm hoping I don't fall back into the habit of neglecting my hair, but either way, I know I'll keep coming back to Terra because she gave me something to feel pretty about. read more

This review is for Terra Shapiro, who has saved my hair a few times now. The first time I came to her a couple years ago I had a very short pixie haircut with a ton of damage. She was able to bring my hair back to a healthy state through at-home maintenance guidance and conditioning treatments. She'll never beat around the bush with you-- if you want to know how to fix something, Terra knows her stuff and will give it to you straight. She truly wants what's best for you and your hair. The second time was about a week ago when I wanted to bring my now grown-out and virgin brown hair back to blonde. It was a tough decision because I am very particular about the quality of my hair and wanted it to stay shiny and healthy. She had a consultation with me, where honestly I didn't give her much to go off of ("just light a cool-toned light blonde") and she worked up some hair color black magic. My blonde came out looking PERFECT... it looked so natural and the integrity of my hair was still great. She is talented at styling too, by the way. Do yourself a favor & go see Terra. read more

I was relieved when his first instinct wasn't to just grab the clippers and give me the same haircut that every Asian guy has in LA. Finding someone that knows how to cut Asian hair is a keeper. This was my first time at Juan A Salon. I had my hair cut and styled by Jordan for $65 earlier this week. I give her (and the salon in general) 4 and not 5 stars for several reasons. I am content with my haircut with a few qualms. 1) FYI: Walking in might be the easiest way to book an appointment. Scheduling an appointment at the salon was kind of a hassle for a first time client. I called the number on the yelp page and was directed to a voicemail that told me to text a different number with my message details. After playing phone tag with Juan (the number from the voicemail) I was then referred to Jordan. However, it wasn't until I went into the salon itself that I was able to schedule an appointment with Jordan who just so happened to be there. 2) I originally thought my haircut would be about $45-$55 because I asked Juan for the cheapest stylist but perhaps I was charged $65 because of the styling (that I guess I should have said no to). I think my cut was kind of pricey just for a trim. 3) Jordan is super sweet and gave me a good haircut, but it wasn't exactly the one I wanted. She was really easy to talk to and she asked me questions about what I wanted along the way, but it ended up slightly different from the image I showed her. When it came to styling, she gave me a blow out but I didn't love it and she was more than happy to straighten it. Overall, I think I had a good experience here and would recommend Jordan to anyone. read more

I went to Ali at Juan Salon after my regular hair colorist of ten years moved away. I was hesitant because I wanted a change in color but he had never done my hair before. But he came recommended by several girlfriends so figured I would "go for it". He has a fun/funny personality which made me more comfortable. Ali took me from light blonde hair to a gorgeous, sassy redhead. I've been back again since & was again really happy with the experience, my hair color and it actually seems healthier. I got my $ refunded after I said I'd be going in person to show the owner what she did to my hair. Still no apology or anything close to an apology. I got my money back, yes, that's great and all, but my hair is still a fried, still breaking off, mullet. Pay attention to all these recent 5 star reviews(they are friends of hers or they're being rewarded for leaving these great reviews. One girl said "she won't go to anyone else for her hair besides Terra" but she recently posted on social media that she was looking for a new hair stylist/colorist. And I know this cuz I know her. Give me a break. These recent positive reviews are fabricated. Trust that. Don't get fooled & keep scrolling down to see all the terrible reviews and pictures of all our damaged, burnt hair done by Terra. And it actually angers me that people only leave positive reviews when they're asked to do so for some type of favor or reward. Update...I'm being completely ignored by Terra. She will not refund me the rest of my money. Not even the decency of a reply or a simple "I'm sorry". Well Terra assured me I was in great hands. But I lost sooo much of my hair. I saw all my hair in the brush she was painfully blow drying my hair with. She lied at the sink and said no hair was falling out. Not only do I have a full on mullet, but my roots that were to be touched up are flaming yellow. My hair continues to fall out to the touch. I can't shampoo my hair without so much hair breaking off. I just wanted my dark roots touched up. She shouldn't have put bleach all over my hair. My ends didn't need to be lightened. I left soaked down to my bra & underwear cuz the shampoo I received at the sink was also horrible. My hair is short spikes from my ears upwards. The 6 months I left my hair alone was a waste of time cuz my hair is in way worse shape than it was before, OR EVER. I'm also a hairstylist & it's a disgrace that my hair looks like this. Who would trust me to do their hair when my own looks like this?! I'm devastated. Sorry if your feelings are hurt by this...BUT LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID TO MY POOR HAIR. Juan A Salon - Sherman Oaks, CA I first found Juan a couple of years ago in Nov 2007 and my hair was damaged. I had a long chat with him about it. Juan cut my hair and trimmed all unhelathy hair - as short as I was comfortable with. Today my hair is very healthy and he knows a lot about color. I finally have my hair being done by a real professional. I don't ever have to tell him what I want he already knows. Juan is also very cool and hip. He is the real deal. Very honest and upfront.
