    Steak sandwich and fries.
    Michael K.

My wife and I tried to dine upstairs at JT's without a reservation on a Friday night at 630pm but were rejected. However, the hostess directed us downstairs to the bar where you can order the same dishes. The bar seating area didn't look much different than the dining room upstairs. The steep prices on the menu didn't match the casual dining atmosphere either in the bar or upstairs. My wife and I both ordered the steak sandwich. She got a side of fries while I got a house salad aiming to share these sides. We also ordered a couple of beers on draft. There was a single server working the six or so tables in the bar along with the counter. She had to hustle to keep up and I appreciated the effort. We were off to a good start with the cold draft beers and house salad. They had Firestone on tap which is always a winner with us. The salad was fresh and enjoyable. My wife pushed all the croutons to my half which works for me. We didn't have to wait too long for the sandwiches. The steak was cut into thick strips that made it a little difficult to eat at first. I enjoyed the garlic mayo and the fresh bun. Grilled onions would have been nice but not on the menu. My wife's dinner was served on a badly chipped plate and her fries were terrible. They were soggy and just not appealing. Again at these prices, my expectations are much higher.

Farm to Table. The JT story. A diverse menu. main courses mostly steak. We ordered a one pound porkchop, scalloped potatoes, brussels sprouts and a dinner salad. Our non-water beverage was Athletic NA IPA. Dessert, Carrot Cake and Coffee. We split one plate and left the table feeling well-fed, not disturbingly stuffed. The pork chop was thick, tender and flavorful. The salad fresh and diverse, dressed to remind me of the former Evah's House of Steak. Brussels Sprouts, slightly steamed. dressed with balsamic vinegar. Scalloped potatoes mildly cheesy. Carrot Cake Big Slice, not over-iced or too suite. Coffee a strong Americano, steamed frothy. The Athletic was an interesting NA beer. Really Hoppy, strong pinyness, slightly bitter finish. Great choice for an occasion. May 9, 2026 - $92. Far better than dropping $50 in the slots snd having a burger later. Complimentary postcard.

Traveling in and staying for a couple of nights, my husband and I were pleased to be able to go on line on "open table" and get a reservation, especially on a Friday evening. We had read that this steakhouse had good reviews. Knowing nothing about the history of this restaurant, we were going strictly on what we had read in the reviews. When we arrived, it appeared that the one of many host/hostess was waitressing along with sitting their customers down. My first impression was nothing particularly special about the ambiance. Clean, yes. Bright lighting surrounded the room, perhaps a bit too bright, for an evening of fine dining. A set of Longhorn horns decorated a center wall. Okay, it is a steakhouse. Various wrangler pictures hung around the room. My guess, family or town relatives. Black table cloth's was a reminder that you are in a fine dining restaurant and fresh flowers did sit in a small vase on each table, was another nice touch. Once escorted, to our table, I felt a bit apprehensive. I see, placed menus on top of serving dishes. That is so very unsanitary. I understand that some restaurants do it for a visual layered table setting, but it ignores basic food hygiene. Please, set it to the side or politely hand the menu to each customer while your staff are thanking their guests for stopping in and dining at your establishment. With that all said, The menu was small, but plentiful. Our waitress was pleasant. My husband, ordered a glass of wine and it was very nice. We both ordered a salad, they were fresh, cold, colorful and dressing was delicious! Sixteen ounces of steak is plenty for the both of us, so we chose to split it along with ordering a baked potato and one extra side of scalloped potatoes. Our order got a bit confused when my husband asked for butter and sour cream only on his potato and I ordered the scalloped potatoes. They divided the one potato and placed each piece on each plate and topped with all the ingredients and no scalloped potatoes but that was an easy fix. Scalloped potatoes came and were quite delicious. My half of steak was perfect! Unfortunately, my husband's half had gristle and fat that he of course had to carve away. Four oz. is plenty for me, so I was happy to give him half of mine. Steak was tasty, no complaint. Once our meal was finished our waitress asked if we were ready for our check. I asked her, "was there any desserts?" She said "yes, would we like to see our dessert list?" My husband said "isn't it funny when we are in another country, we have to wait and wait for our check and when we are home in the US. they rush us out". We would have had a cup of coffee with the Crème brûlée we ordered but it wasn't offered. Crème brûlée was good not delicious. Menu stated that it was supposed to be original, carmelized but the top was the same color as the custard. Minor detail, but still. It was served in a round, tin, ramekin, which made you question if they made it or bought it from a bakery. Over all, we had a pleasant evening.

We were staying at the hotel, so just dropped in. We were so glad we did! I ordered the sirloin steak medium rare and it was the best steak I have ever had. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing. I had a salad and baked potato to accompany the steak. Also perfect. We also had cocktails that were made perfectly! I will go out of my way to come here again.

Loved this steakhouse. Wanted to go to the 'best restaurant in town' and my friends brought me here. Our waitress was very kind & patient and seemed pleased to serve us. Started off w a delicious side salad w yummy bleu cheese dressing. Then it came time to order- we were torn between all the amazing steaks so we decided to each try a different one. From the largest steak on the menu (rib eye) to the filet mignon to the 8 oz sirloin everything was cooked to perfection! I think the steaks tasted extra good because they come straight from their own cattle ranch. I was blown away by the juiciness of the steaks and how they were simply melt in your mouth delicious. The loaded mashed potatoes were delicious although I also would've loved some gravy! :) ** please do my friend a favor and ORDER THE SCALLOPED POTATOES!!! She insists these are the best ever made! I'll be back, JT's!!

I really enjoyed dining here. I was very impressed by the quality of the local steaks and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed the blueberry mojito. It was very refreshing! The bread that they brought out was pretty stale and cold so I'd skip eating that. The crust on the filet mignon was perfect and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had! It came with two sides and I decided to get the Mac n' Alfredo and the sauce was made in house and was very delicious and filling. The crème brûlée had a great flavor and a nice sugar crust but it was a very odd texture. It was almost as if tapioca or bread pudding was added to it. I'd definitely recommend coming here especially for the local steaks!

Sad romaine salad with over cooked beef.

Thursday evening. Didn't have restaurant reservations so I ate in the bar downstairs. Got a table but no chair. It was awkward standing there waiting for well over 10 minutes. Another newly seated patron brought me their extra chair. Very loud but whatever. Service was slow but friendly enough. The small bar was busy and only had the one bartender/server. Was really imagining slices of the medium-rare local steak I ordered. This salad was about as meh and not rare as they come. I mean, look at it. Kinda sad nearly well-done Cubed steak over almost only romaine. Tiny bits of carrot strings and cucumber. A bunch of croutons. Dressings weren't so great either. And pretty expensive at $25! Not even close to worth $35 for salad and a beer. I think this place is normally pretty good. The restaurant upstairs looked pretty nice. My experience was just mediocre, at Best. Do reservations if you want to try their steak. And hopefully go on a night when there's a chef that knows what medium rare means.

We love going to JT's. Always good, consistent, and I am obsessed with that Mac'n Alfredo. So yummy! Next time I want to try their loaded potato with the mac and steak. We also went to breakfast this morning, and we ordered the biscuits and gravy bowl and French toast, both excellent!

New York Strip, Alfredo-Mac and mashed potatoes.

The servers were next-level friendly and prompt despite the dinner rush, they have some fun art, and it's a peaceful place. I really loved the green beans, and another favorite item was the apricot sorbet. They make a ton of items, which is very cool. I only wish they had a few more dairy-free items (especially for breakfast), but what they do offer is far better than expected for this remote location- it would stand up in any metro area. My husband raved about the root beer float, pasta, and pizza. Dinner is sit-down and if you go for breakfast or lunch, it's counter service. They have an extremely well-stocked bar- we didn't partake, but many around us did, and drinks looked excellent.

The owners are selling the restaurant so the great looking food on the website and in yelp pictures is no longer offered. The menu consisted of burgers, pizza, the saddest brisket ever, ravioli, and some salads. The ravioli and pizza were ok at best. The brisket was pretty awful. While there are some pretty neat old pictures inside, the rest of the restaurant decor seems really random. The lady that served us seemed nice and was on top of bringing us everything we ordered in a timely manner. We weren't able to try the homemade ice cream sandwiches as there seemed to be some kind of problem with the freezer. Will not return.

Four of my friends and I went to dinner here last Friday night and while we were waiting to be served they were complaining about the last time they had been in and how long it took to get there food. This time was no exception. The place was somewhat busy and I believe there was only one waitress. The atmosphere was noisy, the waitress was friendly and on top of it as she could be. The food was average and took a while to get. This being said it is Eureka NV with not many choices for places to work or eat so if you decide to stop in you will have to just grin and bare it.

There wasn't much of a choice. Service was ok, I think the poor boy was overworked managing the whole dining room himself and rude demanding customers screaming at him. My hubbys cheeseburger was good but my chicken Philly cheesesteak had gigantic chicken slices so I can't pick it up and bite into it without the chicken falling out. I'm used to small, shredded pieces of chicken in a cheesesteak! Lemonade tastes like cough syrup. Afterwards, I had the worst stomachache the whole way home back to California. I know it's the desert but I would skip. PS: what is up with all the broken and chipped plates??? This shows this place truly does not care about the perception and the dining experience.
