I have been trying to schedule an appointment since May. After meeting John, my wife and I were…read moreimpressed by his professionalism and knowledge. He was kind and thorough. John made a commitment to assess our electrical needs and did so. The first week of May, I called and spoke to Sue. She advised she would follow up with dates and times. By the end of May, I had not heard back - I called Sue and was told that John is very busy and my info is on her desk. A few weeks later I called as I had time off of work. Once again, Sue reminded me my information as on her desk and she would call me back after she checks his availability. After two months of not being called, I have moved on from trying to schedule with them. There was no apology or explanation. There was no estimated wait time. There was a sterile, we are busy and will get to you when we can. I called around locally to on other small businesses that did provide that. I'm not sure where the disconnect was with JM but it was a turn off. Sadly, as I have heard wonderful things about John.

I could not recommend Eric Rotger and NEC more highly. Like many people this year, we found…read moreourselves in a new area in an unfamiliar home, working full-time remotely. We needed someone who was above all honest, trustworthy, and made things easy. We were very nervous because the work we were having done was much more than we had engaged someone to do before, and everyone has heard a horror story about a contractor / bad home project. Our project was a finished half of our basement, including a full bath, mini-split HVAC, new electrical panel and framing around mechanicals that meant creating a mini-boiler room. The work that Eric's team did came out beautifully, the electrical and plumbing team he used was top notch, and we have a space we are very happy with. It seemed almost miraculous to us that with Eric, there really *was* nothing to worry about. What he said would happen, happened. When we had a question, we called him -- and he always took our calls and responded, fast, not to mention he was always up for a good laugh. He made practical recommendations that met what we said we needed, his people showed up when he said, and the work got done while staying completely out of our hair. It is true what their site says, that NEC is a family-run, long time business in this area, and it shows. Eric is a great guy, fun person to talk to, and he takes true pride in his work, as does his family who work with him every day. If you have a job that really matters to you, then I recommend you get a true general contractor, and that is definitely Eric. Perhaps the highest recommendation of all is, we've hired NEC to do more work for us and, to be honest, would have a hard time using anybody else given how happy we are with them. Thanks again to Eric, Jason, Fran and everyone who helped out on our place!
